    Energy Optimization of Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

    The hierarchical routing of data in WSNs is a specific class of routing protocols it encompasses solutions that take a restructuring of the physical network in a logical hierarchy system for the optimization of the consum-ption of energy. Several hierarchical routing solutions proposed, namely: the protocol LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) consist of dividing the network in distributed clusters at one pop in order of faster data delivery and PEGASIS protocol (Power-Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information Systems) which uses the principle of constructing a chain’s sensor node. Our contribution consists of a hierarchical routing protocol, which is the minimization of the energy consumption by reducing the transmission distance of data and reducing the data delivery time. Our solution combines the two hierarchical routing approaches: chain based approach and the cluster based approach. Our approach allows for multi-hop communications, intra- and intercluster, and a collaborative aggregation of data in each Cluster, and a collaborative aggregation of data at each sensor node

    Dynamic Cryptographic Algorithm to Provide Password Authentication using Cued Click Points

    Nowadays, password based authentication is one the most common way of authentication for most of the user logins. However, the advancement in technology also posing many threats for the password authentication systems. Everybody will be keen to know others password. But there exists a very few who is very keen to devise a new authentication. In this paper, we have proposed a more advanced password authentication method yet a simple one which gives a tough competition for the attacker to break the password. For this, we are providing a special key-display interface to assist the modified cued click point’s technique which helps in the more sophisticated dynamic authentication method. This interface helps to break the single password into a combination of 4 passwords and also adds three more password strings to the current password which is entered. It also uses a special one way encryption algorithm called Nesting 93 which is developed explicitly for this system. It helps to prevent almost any kind of attacks

The Ridge Energy Direction (RED) algorithm is the most accurate and fast approach for iris recognition.  The RED algorithm reduces the effects of illumination, since only direction is used.     In this paper, downlink multiuser-MIMO system with large number of transmitting antennas at the base station and R user terminals each having single antenna is considered. According to this design, an access point communicates with large number of users in the Rayleigh fading scenario. Due to large number of users, it becomes difficult to accommodate all of them in the system simultaneously. So, a user grouping technique known as K-mean clustering is used, such that a group of users with similar conditions at that particular time are served together. While making groups, the interference is surely reduced but the number of users being served at a time also reduces. So, it is necessary to make out the balance such that the performance of the system is maintained while accommodating maximum number of users. So, optimum number of user groups needs to be formed. The results show that when groups are increased from two till four sum rate increases but when five groups are made the sum rate decreases to a point but, is still higher than two groups.

This paper improved the system of perform measuring of material for buildings by calculating the volume furthermore the area and dimensions for any position was pointed by the user. The improvement involved in addition to that correction the position of pointed point in case of zooming. The system was designed by using MATLAB R2012b language. The system has implemented on different images and different dimensions as well as on video, it showed accurate results in calculating specific dimensions, areas and volume which defined by the user in the image

    Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) as a Viable Methodology for Knowledge Engineering: A Literature Review

    This paper presents a baseline perspective of knowledge engineering (KE) methodologies by taking a critical look at the methodological approaches currently used in knowledge engineering domain. A literature review bordering on; the knowledge role concept, knowledge elicitation techniques, and ontological approaches employed in knowledge engineering for the construction of knowledge-based systems (KBSs) was carried out. Journal and conference articles were sourced from multiple journals and research databases and a multi-step manual cross-checking based on carefully selected extraction and quality criteria were employed. The findings of the study show that the existing methodological approaches employed for constructing KBSs in KE is highly deficient and inefficient for solving KE problems under dynamic and uncertain environments. The paper concludes by presenting a strong argument as to why soft systems methodology is best suited for constructing knowledge base systems (KBS) in a spatially distributed, unstructured and shared domain specific context
