No full textExperimenta-OUTSIDE-CommEdu are international projects co-founded by Erasmus+ program of the European Union and developed by organizations from Croatia, UK, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Lithuania. The poster presents how the school library in Croatia participated in the projects through the research and implementation into the school curriculum. The results are available by scanning the QR codes. Results of the project are the research, a professional paper, templates of community agreements, the teacher Toolkits and the multilingual OER. Topics of the projects are SDGs, STEM, sustainable entrepreneurship, civic education, collaboration with stakeholders, outdoor learning and Open Schooling as a modern concept in Europe

Printing together our heritage
No full textThe yesteryear story of the rural life of and the village customs pulsate from Pietrari in the folk costume, and sometimes a return in time takes us out of the rhythm of our days. This is what our young ladies do, they go back in time, look for forgotten treasures in the treasure chests, bring them to the Library and... bring them out to light. Crafts that were once vital, that girls and women knew from an early age, are gradually being lost. Techniques, materials, sewing, tailoring - we find them described in books in libraries, bookshops or museums, but the terms used sometimes confuse us. The young ladies did a research which helped them discover the stitches, the Romanian traditional motifs, or the unique tailoring, which will never be authentically rendered except by the hand of women who have passed on a tradition from generation to generation. And they do not keep it for themselves... The Romanian tradițional blouse also represents, in a broad sense, the space in which we were born, the community to which we belong or where we share our affinities, it is what unites us in celebration, what brightens our eyes and makes us happy. It is not only on blouses where we find 'treasures', but also on every element of folk costume which tells us a story... Together we have the chance to revive the tradition that was born here in our house. Using modern techniques, we make it part of our lives, a touch of peace and genuine joy. We share these images and ideas with you, so that the joy in our homes can be felt in the proud hearts of all those who feel Romanian at this moment

Improving Digital Services and Access to Collections at Library and Archives Canada
No full textLibrary and Archives Canada (LAC) has taken strides to address the current digital reality when it comes to providing client services. LAC formed from the merger of the National Library of Canada and National Archives of Canada in 2004.1 Its mandate includes preserving and making accessible Canadian documentary heritage; facilitating cooperation among Canadian communities, and sharing knowledge; and acting as the memory of the Government of Canada.2 LAC's extensive holdings include archival records from public or private individuals or groups in all media as well as published material by or about Canadians (e.g., books, serials, movies, music, theses, microfilm).3 Providing easy access to LAC’s holdings has to start with a proper online presence. Today’s users expect more online and, although creating these services is not rocket science, putting the building blocks in place is not simple. LAC has struggled for some time to determine how to offer a sign-in application that could provide similar services to what a client experiences at a physical location. Much work devoted to the effort using traditional project development methodologies did not yield substantial results for almost 15 years. By contrast, the Digital Access Agile team created this product in only four months releasing it to the public in February 2022
