No full textआईएफएलए की 2024-2029 रणनीति महासंघ को उसकी शताब्दी से आगे और संयुक्त राष्ट्र के 2030 के एजेंडे के लगभग अंत तक ले जाएगी। दोनों ही मील के पत्थर दीर्घकालिक दृष्टिकोण अपनाने और उस विश्व के बारे में स्पष्टता को प्रोत्साहित करते हैं जिसे हम देखना चाहते हैं एवं पुस्तकालय और आईएफएलए उसमें क्या भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।
आईएफएलए की 2024-2029 रणनीति को उसके सदस्यों और स्वयंसेवकों द्वारा किए गए सर्वेक्षणों और परामर्शों के माध्यम से स्वरूप दिया गया है, जिसका उद्देश्य आईएफएलए के प्रति उनकी वर्तमान धारणा और भविष्य की उनकी आकांक्षाओं को समझना था। 2024-2029 रणनीति किसी भी प्रकार की अनिवार्यता निर्धारित नहीं करती, बल्कि भविष्य के लिए एक व्यापक रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत करती है, जिसे हमारे क्षेत्र में कोई भी अपनी स्वयं की योजनाओं के विकास के लिए उपयोग कर सकता है। यह उसकी एक स्पष्ट दृष्टि प्रदान करती है, जैसा विश्व हम चाहते हैं, साथ ही यह परिवर्तन के सिद्धांत को भी प्रस्तुत करती है कि आईएफएलए, पुस्तकालयों का सहयोग कैसे कर सकता है। यह आईएफएलए की योजनाओं के लिए एक स्थायी संदर्भ के रूप में कार्य करेगी, प्रगति को मापने के लिए एक रूपरेखा और अन्यत्र रणनीति विकास को सूचित करने के लिए एक संभावित प्रारूप के रूप में कार्य करेगी। यह आईएफएलए के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महासंघ के रूप को दर्शाने के लिए भी बनाई गई है, जो विभिन्न संस्कृतियों, भाषा समुदायों, भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों और अनुभवों से लोगों को एक साथ लाने, एक मंच प्रदान करने और उसके अनुरूप परिणाम देने में सहायक होगी।

No full textThe monthly RSCVD Steering Committee meeting took place on the 19th of February 2025 and discussed the recent updates of Talaria software, with the coming webinars to take place in Lisbon in May. The WLIC2025 planning committee is working on presenting a proposal where RSCVD will play a role between presenting RSCVD and providing demos in a booth during the congress. And, on the 4th of February, Katia and Ibrahim hosted a RSCVD session for the MENA region in Arabic and organized by the IFLA MENA RO at Qatar National Library. The webinar was successful with 74 participants . The feedback showed that participants learned about RSCVD and are willing to use it in the future. The coming webinars will be in Lisbon in May, in Genova in October, in Marsh for the Bodleian Library, and planning another one for the SiriLanka Library Association and Bangladeshi Librarians. The committee members agreed for the need to write a policy and tips on what can or cannot be requested through RSCVD to minimize confusion as same requests are going to RSCVD and NILDE. The last item was discussing the ILDS2024 papers to be published along to the 4 case studies done from Lebanon, Qatar, India and Turkey

No full textThe Standing Committee of the Document Delivery and Resource Sharing met on December 12th and welcomed the NISO committee who presented their findings on the future of the IFLA vouchers. under the “Exploration of new ISO 18626 functionality interesting group: The group has been talking to various entities: IFLA, vendors who support ILL systems and the Center for Interlibrary Loan Transactions (CILLT) regarding the ILL financial transactions. They shared their presentation introducing the initiative.
It has been decided to follow up with the IFLA HQ.
Andy and Tom updated the committee on their progress in the updates, and to provide an estimated timeline after the holidays.
The Committee evaluated the IFLA ILDS 2024 in Baku that was held from 2-4 December, It was a success, very well organized, good attendence 70 and more reflections on lessons learned from the conference for the future one to be held in 2026.
A new webinar by the grant recipient of (ILDS 2024) to be organized in February 2025.
IFLA elections were discussed as well as creating a committee to decide on a theme for the WLIC 2025
