    La motricidad fina y su influencia en la escritura en los estudiantes de la Escuela de Educación Básica Celeste Carlier Fuentes, del Cantón Quevedo 2022

    The present study is developed at the “Celeste Carlier Fuentes” School of Basic Education in Quevedo for the period 2022, focusing on students at the Basic Elementary level as the field of study. The research approach is quantitative, the type of research is correlational, longitudinal and experimental, with a descriptive scope, among the theoretical methods applied were analysis-synthesis, documentary review, while the empirical methods correspond to the survey, interview, was applied to a non-probabilistic sample of 95 students, with an instrument validated by Cronbach's Alpha test that was equivalent to 0.708 reliable at a high level. The main results show a Pearson correlation of 0.803 with a p value of 0.02, a high correlation between the variables fine motor skills and writing, which is why it is necessary to have a program of activities to strengthen fine motor skills. Therefore, it must be applied in parallel to the planned pedagogical activities. It is concluded that students present difficulty in writing due to the lack of teaching support during the pandemic. Therefore, the author's hypothesis is affirmed that programmed fine motor activities would improve students' writing. El enfoque de la investigación es cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación es correlacional, longitudinal y experimental, con un alcance descriptivo, entre los métodos teóricos aplicados fueron análisis- síntesis, revisión documental, mientras que los métodos empíricos corresponden a la encuesta, entrevista, fue aplicada a una muestra no probabilística de 95 estudiantes, con un instrumento validado por la prueba Alfa de Cronbach que resultó equivalente a 0,708 confiable en nivel alto. Los principales resultados muestran una correlación de Pearson de 0,803 con un p valor de 0,02, correlación alta, entre las variables motricidad fina y escritura, por lo es necesario contar con un programa de actividades de fortalecimiento de motricidad fina. Por ello, se debe aplicar de forma paralela a las actividades pedagógicas planificadas. Se concluye lo estudiantes presentan dificultad en la escritura debido a la falta de acompañamiento docente durante la pandemia. Por tanto, se afirma la hipótesis del autor que las actividades programadas de motricidad fina mejorarían la escritura de los estudiantes

    Rice is the most relevant fundamental production grain on a global scale, thanks to the total extent of its cultivation throughout the world and the large number of people who rely on its harvest, offering work to numerous families. The objective of this study was to determine the milling quality of the promising L-17 rice line grown in the Pimocha area, Los Ríos province. Two rice cultivars were used with three repetitions: L-17 and SFL-11. The determination of milling quality is carried out in the FACIAG-UTB Grain Quality Laboratory. The variables evaluated were: weight (g) of husk, weight (g) of brown rice, weight (g) of white mass, weight (g) of powder, weight (g) of broken grains, weight (g) of whole grains, whiteness, white center (%), percentage of amylose and protein. For statistical analysis, the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis analysis design was used, including comparison of means. Regarding the results, it is calculated that in the whole grains variable, the promising line L-17 presented the highest value with 606.45 g (60.64 %). The amylose content in the commercial variety SFL-11 was 31.57%, while the promising line L-17 obtained a value of 30.20%, almost similar results in the two cultivars. The percentage of whiteness in the commercial variety SFL-11 was 42.87%, while the promising line L-17 obtained a value of 40.90%. Regarding proteins, it was determined that the promising line L-17 obtained a value of 7.97%, while the commercial variety SFL has an average of 7.80%, observing that there is no difference in protein between the two cultivars. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la calidad molinera de la línea promisoria de arroz L-17 cultivadas en la zona de Pimocha, provincia de Los Ríos. Se utilizaron dos cultivares de arroz con tres repeticiones como son: L-17 y SFL-11. La determinación de la calidad molinera se realizó en el laboratorio de Calidad de granos de la FACIAG-UTB. Las variables evaluadas fueron: peso (g) de cascarilla, peso (g) de arroz integral, peso (g) de masa blanca, peso (g) de polvillo, peso (g) de granos quebrados, peso (g) de granos enteros, blancura, centro blanco (%), porcentaje de amilosa y proteína. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó el diseño no paramétrico de análisis de Kruskal Wallis incluyendo la comparación de medias. En cuanto a los resultados se determinó que en la variable granos enteros la línea promisoria L-17 presento el mayor valor con 606.45 g (60.64 %). El contenido de amilosa en la variedad comercial SFL-11 fue de 31.57 %, mientras que la línea promisoria L-17 obtuvo un valor de 30.20 %, resultados casi similares en los dos cultivares. El porcentaje de blancura en la variedad comercial SFL-11 fue de 42.87 %, mientras que la línea promisoria L-17 obtuvo un valor de 40.90 %. En cuanto a las proteínas, se determinó que la línea promisoria L-17 obtuvo un valor de 7.97 %, mientras que la variedad comercial SFL tiene un promedio de 7.80 %, observando que no hay diferencia de proteína entre los dos cultivares.     Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the main food of inhabitants in developing countries and is the second most consumed cereal in the world. Its global demand increases due to population growth and consumption models in different regions. Rice is one of the most important crops for Ecuador, generating a significant contribution to the economy, in addition to contributing to and guaranteeing the food security of the population and generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs throughout the production chain. The progress of the sector in productivity issues during the last decades has been slow. This project aims to determine the agronomic and productive behavior of the promising L-17 rice line cultivated in the Pimocha area, province of Los Ríos. In this research, a methodology was carried out, with a non-parametric statistical design with the use of Tukey analysis including comparisons of means. For the analysis, three repetitions will be considered (three samplings with areas of 4 m² taken in one hectare of crop) and two cultivars (L-17 and SFL-11). The technique used to evaluate the plots was direct counting of individuals, tillers, panicles, grains, the distance between plant and row and estimation of yield, two treatments were used. Regarding the results, the promising line L-17 showed a greater number of panicles, which reached a value of 21.68, compared to the SFL-11 variety, which obtained a lower number of panicles 19.27. Line L-17 had a higher percentage (6.04%) of wasted grain, compared to the commercial line, SFL-11, which had a lower amount of wasted grain (5.5%). It is found that the promising line L-17 has a distance of 36 cm from the commercial SFL 11 of 34.6 cm, which results in the smaller the distance, the greater the number of plants. Although there are similarities in the agronomic characteristics of the SFL-11 line and the promising L-37 line, it is the latter that really shines in terms of performance and creates an impressive range of 6.5 to 7 tons per year. El avance del sector en temas de productividad durante las últimas décadas ha sido lento este proyecto tiene como objetivo Determinar el comportamiento agronómico y productivo de la línea promisoria de arroz L-17 cultivada en la zona de Pimocha, provincia de Los Ríos. En esta investigación se realizó una metodología, con un diseño estadístico no paramétrico con el uso de análisis de tukey incluyendo las comparaciones de medias. Para el análisis se considerarán tres repeticiones (tres muestreos con áreas de 4 m² tomadas en una hectárea de cultivo) y dos cultivares (L-17 y SFL-11). La técnica utilizada para la evaluación de las parcelas fueron la del conteo directo de los individuos, macollos, panículas, granos, el distanciamiento entre planta e hilera y estimación del rendimiento se utilizaron dos tratamientos. En cuanto a los resultados, la línea promisoria L-17 mostró un mayor número de panículas, que alcanzó un valor de 21.68, en comparación con la variedad SFL-11, que obtuvo un menor número de panículas 19.27. La línea L-17 tuvo un porcentaje más alto (6,04%) de grano vano, ante la línea comercial, SFL-11 que tuvo menor cantidad de grano vano (5,5%). Se encuentra que la línea promisoria L-17 tiene una distancia de 36 cm de antes la comercial SFL 11 de 34,6 cm, que resulta, cuanto menor sea la distancia, mayor será el número de plantas. Aunque hay similitudes en las características agronómicas de la línea SFL-11 y en la línea promisora L-37, esta es la última que realmente brilla en términos de rendimiento y crea un rango impresionante de 6.5 a 7 toneladas por año. En conclusión, la línea promisoria L-17 se distingue de la línea comercial SFL 11 por tener una alta significancia de diferencia, tanto en caracteres, como en rendimiento y en el costo de producción, lo que la hace una línea prometedora para los agricultores

    Corn is an agricultural product that is produced mostly in the world. According to its nutritional qualities to produce animal protein, human consumption, and industrial use, it has become one of the most important products in international markets. In Ecuador many families are dedicated to this activity, being Los Ríos where 45% of the country's production is concentrated. Science has long wondered how to activate a plant's defense system where and when it is needed, a field in which a breakthrough has just taken place. Because plants have a deficient immune system, it is necessary to generate mechanisms that increase these systems, it is necessary to use tools to produce plants, however, the appearance of new concepts of plant fungal control has allowed the flourishing of a new line of physiological activators. The objective of the research is to evaluate inducers of acquired resistance (IRA) on the asphalt stain complex in corn cultivation. The investigation was carried out on the grounds of the Hacienda "La Suerte", province of Los Ríos. In this study, the maize hybrid of the simple type Emblema was used. In the field work, an experimental design of "randomized complete blocks (BCA)" was used. The treatments were: salicylic acid, chitin, Peptide-Gramicidin, Poly-Glucosarine, Fosetyl Aluminum and a Control, all of them in two doses and applications, at 20 and 35 days after sowing. It was assessed: Incidence and severity of the disease with formulas, and severity of the disease with a diagrammatic scale. In addition, agronomic variables related to crop production were evaluated. The presence of grain spotting disease (Phyllachora maydis, Monographella maydi, Coniothyrium phyllachorae) was evident in the evaluation area. The application of physiological resistance activators generated control over the appearance of asphalt staining, compared to the control which was severely attacked. The application of salicylic acid 1.0 l/ha registered the least damage of the disease in all the evaluations. The highest production was achieved by applying salicylic acid asphalt stain control at 1,0 l/ha with 10166,67 kg/ha, the control had the worst average yield (4846,67 kg/ha).Corn is an agricultural product that is produced mostly in the world. De acuerdo con sus cualidades alimenticias para la producción de proteína animal, el consumo humano y el uso industrial se ha convertido en uno de los productos más importantes en los mercados internacionales. En el Ecuador muchas familias se dedican a esta actividad, siendo Los Ríos donde se concentra el 45% de la producción país. Durante mucho tiempo la ciencia se ha estado preguntado cómo activar un sistema de defensa de una planta donde y cuando se necesita, un campo en el que se acaba de producir un importante avance. Los vegetales por poseer un sistema inmunitario deficiente es necesario generar mecanismos que aumenten estos sistemas, es necesario utilizar herramientas para producir plantas, sin embargo, la aparición de nuevos conceptos de control fúngico vegetal ha permitido el florecimiento de una nueva línea de activadores fisiológicos. El objetivo de la investigación evaluar inductores de resistencia adquirida (IRA) sobre el complejo mancha de asfalto en el cultivo de maíz. La investigación se ejecutó en los terrenos de la Hacienda “La Suerte”, provincia de Los Ríos. En este estudio se empleó el hibrido de maíz de tipo simple Emblema. En el trabajo de campo se utilizó diseño experimental de “bloques completos al azar (BCA)”. Los tratamientos fueros: acido salicílico, quitina, Peptídicos-Gramicidina, Poli-Glucosarina, Fosetyl Aluminio y un Control, todos ellos en dos dosis y aplicaciones, a los 20 y 35 dias después de la siembra. Se valoró: Incidencia y severidad de la enfermedad con fórmulas, y severidad de la con escala diagramática. Además, se evaluó variables agronómicas relacionadas con la producción del cultivo. Fue evidente la presencia de la enfermedad de manchado de grano (Phyllachora maydis, Monographella maydi, Coniothyrium phyllachorae) en la zona de evaluación. La aplicación de activadores fisiológicos de resistencia generó control sobre la aparición del manchado de asfalto, en comparación con el testigo el cual fue atacado severamente. La aplicación de ácido salicílico 1,0 l/ha registró el menor daño de la enfermedad en todas las evaluaciones. La producción más alta se logró aplicando para el control de mancha de asfalto acido salicílico 1,0 l/ha con 10166,67 kg/ha, el testigo tuvo el peor promedio de rendimiento (4846,67 kg/ha)

    Educación emocional y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de 6to EGB de la Unidad Educativa “Gabriel García Moreno” periodo 2024 – 2025

    Nowadays, emotional education is a key factor in the educational field, because through it, skills are developed that are essential to manage emotions, resolve conflicts and, above all, to maintain an emotional balance in the learning relationship. However, at the “Gabriel García Moreno” School there is the lack of emotional education in sixth-year basic education students. This is why, this research explores how emotional education affects the academic performance of students. Emotional education is fundamental in any educational process, because it contributes to the creation of a more positive classroom environment, where students feel more secure and motivated to learn. In addition, it offers tools to improve their psychological well-being, reduces stress and also for appropriate emotional management. On the other hand, in order to know the level of emotional intelligence on the students, an emotional test carried out on 51 sixth-grade students and as a result, it got that the 76% of students have trouble controlling themselves when they get angry. Affecting their personal well-being and their academic performance. Also, an interview conducted to the institution's principal and to tutor teachers, to analyze in depth these factors that directly affect academic performance. Sin embargo, en la Unidad Educativa “Gabriel García Moreno” existe la carencia de educación emocional en estudiantes de sexto año de educación básica. Es por eso, que este trabajo de investigación explora cómo la educación emocional incide en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Puesto que, la educación emocional es fundamental en todo proceso educativo, porque contribuye a la creación de un ambiente de aula más positivo, donde los estudiantes se sienten más seguros y motivados para aprender. Además, ofrece herramientas para mejorar su bienestar psicológico, reducir el estrés y también para un adecuado manejo emocional. Por otra parte, con la finalidad de conocer el nivel de inteligencia emocional que poseen los estudiantes, se realizó un test emocional a 51 estudiantes de sexto año y como resultado se obtuvo que el 76% de los estudiantes tienen problemas para controlarse cuando se enojan. Afectando su bienestar personal y su rendimiento académico. Asimismo, se realizó una entrevista al rector de la institución y a docentes tutores, para analizar a profundidad sobre estos factores que inciden directamente en el desempeño escolar. Por tanto, se concluye que la integración de la educación emocional en el currículo académico es un factor clave para mejorar el rendimiento académico y promover el desarrollo integral en los estudiantes

    This case study aims to evaluate the risks associated with unauthorized access and cyber threats in the ACTIVA transactional system, implemented by Western Union in Babahoyo, Ecuador. It focuses on analyzing how the adoption of advanced encryption techniques contributes to mitigating these threats and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data in the point-of-sale profile. The methodology employed included a comprehensive risk analysis based on international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST, along with attack scenario simulations to assess the effectiveness of encryption. The results showed a significant reduction in exposure to vulnerabilities due to the use of robust algorithms like AES-256 and complementary techniques such as multi-factor authentication and centralized key management. The results showed a significant reduction in exposure to vulnerabilities due to the use of robust algorithms like AES-256 and complementary techniques such as multi-factor authentication and centralized key management. This study highlights the importance of integrating encryption solutions into transactional environments to strengthen security and increase user trust.El presente caso de estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar los riesgos asociados al acceso no autorizado y las amenazas cibernéticas en el sistema transaccional ACTIVA, implementado por Western Union en Babahoyo, Ecuador. Se enfoca en analizar cómo la adopción de técnicas avanzadas de cifrado contribuye a mitigar estas amenazas y garantizar la integridad, confidencialidad y disponibilidad de los datos en el perfil del punto de venta. La metodología empleada incluyó un análisis exhaustivo de riesgos basado en estándares internacionales como ISO/IEC 27001 y NIST, junto con simulaciones de escenarios de ataque para evaluar la eficacia del cifrado. Los resultados evidenciaron una disminución significativa en la exposición a vulnerabilidades gracias al uso de algoritmos robustos como AES-256 y técnicas complementarias como la autenticación multifactor y la gestión centralizada de claves.     The objective of this project is to determine how hybrid education influences students' academic performance, as well as to identify whether this modality is perceived positively, negatively, or neutrally in relation to academic results. The COVID-19 pandemic gave rise to hybrid education, a new learning modality that presents challenges, such as lack of internet connectivity and limited access to digital devices. Likewise, teachers had to adapt quickly, developing new teaching strategies and training in the use of educational platforms. Blended research allows us to identify how hybrid education has had a positive influence on students' learning and academic performance, facilitating their autonomous education through access to various educational platforms. However, some students continue to face difficulties related to connectivity and access to electronic devices. This research also recognizes benefits and challenges of the hybrid modality, offering strategies used to improve academic performance. Furthermore, by addressing the challenges of connectivity and access to technology, the research contributes to a broader debate on equity in education, analyzing the accessibility of this modality for all students and suggesting improvements in technological infrastructure to ensure equal opportunities in learning.     The study analyzes the impact of price-demand elasticity on the profitability of the Agricultural Production Association 6 de Octubre (ASOPROAGROC) in the Vinces canton during 2023. The research reveals that the price-demand elasticity of the association's products is 1.4, which indicates that they are elastic. This means that consumers are highly sensitive to price variations, affecting the competitiveness and sustainability of the company in the market. The analysis shows that the lack of pricing strategies has led to deficiencies in profitability and demand management. If prices increase without a proper strategy, demand will decrease, negatively affecting revenue. On the other hand, reducing prices without optimizing costs is also not sustainable in the long term. To improve its competitiveness, ASOPROAGROC must implement differentiated pricing strategies based on market studies, optimize its production costs and diversify its offer with differentiated products. Customer loyalty and quality certification can reduce the elasticity of demand and generate financial stability. The study concludes that the company should avoid depending solely on price adjustments to improve its profitability. It is recommended to carry out periodic elasticity analyzes, improve operational efficiency and develop a commercial strategy based on differentiation and added value. El análisis muestra que la falta de estrategias de fijación de precios ha generado deficiencias en la rentabilidad y la gestión de la demanda. Si los precios aumentan sin una estrategia adecuada, la demanda disminuirá, afectando negativamente los ingresos. Por otro lado, reducir precios sin optimizar costos tampoco es sostenible a largo plazo. Para mejorar su competitividad, ASOPROAGROC debe implementar estrategias de precios diferenciados basados en estudios de mercado, optimizar sus costos de producción y diversificar su oferta con productos diferenciados. La fidelización de clientes y la certificación de calidad pueden reducir la elasticidad de la demanda y generar estabilidad financiera. El estudio concluye que la empresa debe evitar depender únicamente de ajustes de precios para mejorar su rentabilidad. Se recomienda realizar análisis periódicos de elasticidad, mejorar la eficiencia operativa y desarrollar una estrategia comercial basada en diferenciación y valor agregado.     The research addresses the issue of traditional methods for visual screening in optometry, highlighting their effectiveness but also their limitations in cost, time, and portability. This particularly affects contexts with limited resources or rural areas. The main objective is to compare these traditional methods with a prototype of screening rules in optometry students from the Technical University of Babahoyo, evaluating accuracy, effectiveness, and ease of use. The methodology involved applying both approaches to a defined sample of students, collecting data on application times, diagnostic accuracy, and user feedback. This approach allowed for a detailed comparison of the two methods. The results showed that the screening rules prototype is more efficient, reducing application time and improving accessibility, while maintaining accuracy levels comparable to traditional methods. It is concluded that the prototype represents a viable alternative to optimize visual screenings, especially in resource-limited environments, and has the potential to improve both student learning and visual health coverage. Principalmente afecta a contextos con recursos que son limitados como suele suceder en las zonas rurales. El objetivo principal es comparar estos métodos tradicionales con un prototipo de reglas de screening en estudiantes de optometría de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, evaluando precisión, efectividad y facilidad de uso. La metodología incluyó un enfoque mixto, investigación de campo y un estudio comparativo realizado una muestra definida por estudiantes, recolectando datos en torno a la aplicación de instrumentos y diagnósticos. Los resultados, determinaron que esta se cumplió de forma mucho más eficaz al utilizar el criterio de evaluación por medio de prototipos ya que se trata de un perfeccionamiento, lo cual consume menos tiempo, y, por consiguiente, mayor disponibilidad sin perder la exactitud de los otros métodos convencionales más precisos. En conclusión, se ratifica que el prototipo es una alternativa factible para el aprovechamiento de las evaluaciones de tipo visual, especialmente en casos de limitada disponibilidad de recursos, y que, a la vez, puede facilitar un buen rendimiento escolar y promover el cuidado de la salud visual.     This study addresses the problem of accounts payable management in Constructora Consocilor SA, located in Babahoyo, province of Los Ríos, during the period 2023. The company faces challenges related to payment prioritization, poor financial planning, and limited cash availability, which compromises its operational and financial stability. This context generates additional costs due to late interest and makes it difficult to take advantage of strategic opportunities. The research used a mixed approach integrating qualitative and quantitative methods. A non-experimental and cross-sectional design was applied, analyzing the financial statements using key indicators such as the debt ratio and the current liquidity ratio. Semi-structured interviews were also conducted with accounting staff to complement the interpretation of the data. Among the main findings, it was identified that accounts payable represent 79.7% of current liabilities, while free cash flow only covers 2% of these obligations, evidencing significant financial pressure in the short term. However, the solvency ratio (3.38) and low financial leverage (0.42) reflect a solid financial structure and low dependence on external financing. Despite this, high operating costs limit net profitability, which stands at 9.3%. In conclusion, it is necessary to implement strategies to optimize accounts payable management, improve cash flow and reduce operating costs. La empresa enfrenta desafíos relacionados con la priorización de pagos una planificación financiera deficiente y una Limitada disponibilidad de efectivo lo que compromete su estabilidad operativa y financiera. Este contexto genera costos adicionales por intereses moratorios y dificulta el aprovechamiento de oportunidades estratégicas. La investigación utilizó un enfoque mixto integrando métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se aplicó un diseño no experimental y transversal analizando los estados financieros mediante indicadores clave como el ratio de endeudamiento y el índice de liquidez corriente. También se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas con personal contable para complementar la interpretación de los datos. Entre los principales hallazgos se identificó que las cuentas por pagar representan el 79.7% del pasivo corriente, mientras que el flujo de caja disponible solo cubre el 2% de estas obligaciones evidenciando una presión financiera significativa a corto plazo. Sin embargo el índice de solvencia (3,38) y el bajo apalancamiento financiero (0,42) reflejan una estructura financiera sólida y baja dependencia de financiamiento externo. A pesar de ello los costos operativos elevados limitan la rentabilidad neta que se sitúa en el 9,3%. En conclusión, se requiere implementar estrategias para optimizar la gestión de cuentas por pagar mejorar el flujo de caja y reducir costos operativos. Estas acciones son esenciales para garantizar la sostenibilidad financiera y la competitividad de la empresa en un entorno dinámico
