No full textNowadays, refractive errors in students are increasing, thanks to subjecting the eyes to excessive use of electronic screens. Therefore, the development of this research examines visual health problems in students of the Francisco Huerta Rendón Educational Unit, belonging to the city of Babahoyo in the period October 2024 and April 2025, with the objective of evaluating the effect of optometric strategies in the identification and correction of refractive errors in students, in order to improve academic performance during the study period, since the lack of regular optometric check-ups during education are factors that critically affect them. the quality of life and performance of students. Faced with this problem, comprehensive optometric strategies are proposed to improve the visual health of the students of the Francisco Huerta Rendón educational unit, such as the implementation of regular visual checkups in educational institutions, interactive educational campaigns for students and teachers, encouraging the adoption of healthy habits and promoting the use of responsible technology, underlining the importance of prevention and visual education. For the development of this study, a quantitative approach with a descriptive design was used, in order to analyze the optometric strategies that will be implemented in the students of the institution, opting for a sample of 40 students at random, applying data collection techniques, such as surveys, where the results indicated trends such as a high prevalence of untreated refractive errors, optometric examinations (Screening), observation and data processing were also applied.Nowadays, refractive errors in students are increasing, thanks to subjecting the eyes to excessive use of electronic screens. Por ello, el desarrollo de esta investigación, examina los problemas de salud visual en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Francisco Huerta Rendón, perteneciente a la ciudad de Babahoyo en el período octubre 2024 y abril 2025, con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de las estrategias optométricas en la identificación y corrección de errores refractivos en estudiantes, para así, mejorar el rendimiento académico durante el periodo de estudio, ya que la falta de revisiones optométricas regulares durante la educación son factores que afectan de manera crítica la calidad de vida y desempeño de los estudiantes. Frente a esta problemática se proponen estrategias integrales optométricas para mejorar la salud visual de los estudiantes de la unidad educativa Francisco Huerta Rendón, cómo lo es la implementación de chequeos visuales regulares en las instituciones educativas, campañas educativas interactivas para estudiantes y profesores, incentivando a la adopción de hábitos saludables y fomentando el uso de la tecnología responsable, subrayando la importancia de la prevención y educación visual. Para el desarrollo de este estudio, se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño descriptivo, con el fin de analizar las estrategias optométricas que se implementarán en los estudiantes de la institución, optando por una muestra de 40 estudiantes de forma aleatoria, aplicando las técnicas de recolección de datos, como son las encuestas, en donde los resultados indicaron tendencias alarmantes como una alta prevalencia de errores refractivos no tratados, también se aplicó, exámenes optométricos (Tamizaje), la observación y el procesamiento de datos

No full textProject-based learning, also known as (PBL), is a methodology for the teaching-learning process that focuses especially on students, so that it promotes the active participation of students through the execution of a project that is carried out based on a problem identified in the real world for its prior resolution. On the other hand, PBL motivates the student to be the protagonist of knowledge, in such a way that it promotes the development of critical skills and problem solving through practice. The present research is oriented to the influence of project-based learning on the development of critical skills in 7th grade students from the Doctor José María Velasco Ibarra EGB schools and the Doctor Lorenzo Rufo Peña school in the Vinces parish. The objective of the research is to carry out an in-depth study through theoretical review and analysis of the different aspects or perspectives that underpin PBL in the development of students' critical skills. Por otro lado, el ABP motiva al estudiante a ser el protagonista del conocimiento, para poder interactuar con sus compañeros de tal forma que promueva el desarrollo de habilidades críticas y la resolución de problemas por medio de la práctica. La presente investigación está orientada a la influencia del aprendizaje basado en proyecto en el desarrollo de habilidades críticas en los estudiantes 7mo EGB de las escuelas de EGB Doctor José María Velasco Ibarra y la escuela Doctor Lorenzo Rufo Peña de la parroquia Vinces. El objetivo de la investigación es realizar un estudio a profundidad mediante la revisión teórica y el análisis de los distintos aspectos o perspectivas que fundamente al ABP en el desarrollo de habilidades críticas de los estudiantes. Por lo que, se utiliza una metodología basada en la investigación descriptiva y exploratoria con un enfoque mixto que permite la recolección de datos y opiniones tanto de docentes como estudiantes, con el fin de puntualizar el aprendizaje y su relación con las habilidades críticas, además el diseño de esta investigación se fundamenta en la investigación documental a partir de fuentes confiables y la investigación de campo para el análisis de las instituciones vinculadas al objeto de estudio

No full textThe purpose of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of early stimulation on the motor and sensory development of children at the Kraaker Comprehensive Care Center located in Babahoyo, during the period between October 2024 and April 2025. Early stimulation is considered a relevant strategy to enhance the physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills of children, which will allow them to achieve essential milestones in their comprehensive development. A descriptive methodological approach will be adopted, which will combine various methods, such as direct observation, and surveys aimed at caregivers and physiotherapists. The proposed interventions include sensory activities, such as massage, tactile and visual stimulation, as well as motor games designed to strengthen both fine and gross motor skills. The expected results will facilitate the identification of significant changes in motor and sensory skills after participating in the stimulation sessions. La estimulación temprana se considera una estrategia relevante para potenciar las habilidades físicas, cognitivas, sociales y emocionales de los niños, lo que permitirá alcanzar hitos esenciales en su desarrollo integral. Se adoptará un enfoque metodológico descriptivo, que combinará diversas, como la observación directa, y encuestas dirigidas a cuidadores y fisioterapeutas. Las intervenciones propuestas incluyen actividades sensoriales, tales como masajes, estimulación táctil y visual, así como juegos de motores diseñados para fortalecer tanto la motricidad fina como la gruesa. Los resultados esperados facilitaran la identificación de cambios significativos en las habilidades motoras y sensoriales después de participar en las sesiones de estimulación. Así mismo se anticipa que estos hallazgos contribuirán al diseño de programas de intervención más efectivos y personalizados, lo que mejorará la calidad de vida de los niños y reducirá las desigualdades en el acceso a estímulos adecuados para su desarrollo
Efecto del etileno en la inducción de resistencia en las plantas.
No full textThe effect of ethylene on the induction of resistance is a method that promises a new control of pests and diseases by making the plant resistant to attacks by these agents. The following research work is carried out, so it is of utmost importance to collect information on the effects of ethylene on the induction of plant resistance. The purpose of this work is to characterize the effect of ethylene on induction in plants in the Los Ríos region. The results showed that ethylene increased antibody production and reduced the severity of the disease. They also demonstrated that the application of ethylene must be carried out very carefully and always taking into account the appropriate concentrations for each plant. In this research study, we have investigated successful cases to induce greater antibody production and reduce disease severity compared to common controls. Furthermore, a higher expression of defense genes was observed in plants treated with ethylene. In conclusion, the study demonstrated that ethylene can induce resistance in plants by activating natural defense mechanisms. Se realiza el siguiente trabajo de investigación por lo que es de suma importancia recopilar información sobre los efectos del etileno en la inducción de resistencia de las plantas. El propósito de este trabajo es caracterizar el efecto del etileno sobre la inducción en plantas de la región de Los Ríos. Los resultados mostraron que el etileno aumentó la producción de anticuerpos y redujo la gravedad de la enfermedad. También demostraron que la aplicación de etileno debe realizarse con mucho cuidado y siempre teniendo en cuenta las concentraciones adecuadas para cada planta. En este estudio de investigación, hemos investigado casos exitosos para inducir una mayor producción de anticuerpos y reducir la gravedad de la enfermedad en comparación con los controles comunes. Además, se observó una mayor expresión de genes de defensa en plantas tratadas con etileno. En conclusión, el estudio demostró que el etileno puede inducir resistencia en las plantas activando mecanismos de defensa naturales. Conocimos plantas que tuvieron una respuesta favorable en la inducción de etileno para la resistencia vegetal, y así conocer los beneficios que brinda en las plantas
El uso del Storytelling en nuevas marcas ecuatorianas para la construcción de su identidad

Through the use of interviews, surveys and observation sheets, it became evident that Storytelling is a fundamental tool to connect emotionally with consumers and also to strengthen the positioning of brands in the market. The analysis of Ecuadorian brands such as Netlife, Supermercados Akí, Supermaxi, Sana Sana and Pronaca has shown that the use of narratives in a coherent and authentic way contributes significantly to customer loyalty. It was possible to identify key factors for the effectiveness of this tool, such as authenticity, clarity of the message and emotional connection with the public. In addition, it was concluded that the use of local cultural elements in the stories told strengthens brand identity and promotes a sense of belonging among consumers. El análisis de marcas ecuatorianas como Netlife, Supermercados Akí, Supermaxi, Sana Sana y Pronaca han demostrado que el uso de narrativas de forma coherente y auténtica contribuye de una forma significativa a la fidelización de clientes. Se logró identificar factores claves para la efectividad de esta herramienta como la autenticidad, la claridad del mensaje y la conexión emocional con el público. Además, se concluye que la utilización de elementos culturales locales en las historias contadas fortalece la identidad de marca y logra promover un sentido de pertenencia entre los consumidores. No full textThe aging population has led to an increased prevalence of cognitive impairment in older adults, significantly raising the risk of falls, one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in this demographic. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the implementation of the vivifrail program and fall prevention in older adults with cognitive impairment attending the SAGI Day Care Center for Older Adults in Quito. The methodology follows Prospective observational design, with an intervention group participating in the vivifrail program, focused on exercises for strength, balance, and endurance, and a control group receiving conventional treatment. Assessments will include validated tools such as the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) and specific scales to measure fall risk, functionality, and cognitive capacity. Data will be analyzed to determine significant differences between the groups in terms of muscle strength, balance, and fall frequency. This study seeks to highlight the importance of structured physical exercise in promoting functional autonomy and reducing fall-related complications in older adults. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal evaluar la relación entre la implementación del programa Vivifrail y la prevención de caídas en adultos mayores con deterioro cognitivo que asisten al Centro Diurno Gerontológico SAGI en Quito. La metodología se basa en un diseño observacional prospectivo, con un grupo de intervención que participará en el programa Vivifrail, enfocado en ejercicios de fortalecimiento, equilibrio y resistencia, y un grupo control que recibirá el tratamiento convencional. Evaluación de la implementación y desafíos del Sistema Erp en la gestión de recursos de la Empresa Pc Soluciones en Babahoyo: impacto en los resultados organizacionales.
No full textEl presente caso de estudio evalúa la implementación del sistema ERP, específicamente Odoo ERP, en la empresa PC Soluciones, ubicada en Babahoyo, Ecuador. La investigación parte de la necesidad de integrar y optimizar los procesos administrativos y operativos de la empresa ante un rápido crecimiento y una diversificación de funciones. Se identificaron desafíos importantes durante la implementación, tales como la resistencia al cambio del personal, la capacitación insuficiente y problemas técnicos en la migración de datos. Mediante un enfoque metodológico mixto—que combinó técnicas cuantitativas (encuestas, análisis de indicadores operativos) y cualitativas (entrevistas, grupos focales)—se evaluó el grado de integración del sistema ERP y su impacto en la eficiencia operativa, la reducción de costos y la mejora en la toma de decisiones. Los resultados revelaron mejoras significativas en áreas como facturación, control de inventarios y gestión financiera, aunque la adopción fue parcial en departamentos como atención al cliente y recursos humanos. La discusión destaca que, si bien la tecnología ERP aporta importantes beneficios en términos de centralización de la información y automatización de procesos, su éxito depende en gran medida de la adecuada gestión del cambio y de la capacitación continua del personal. En conclusión, la implementación del ERP en PC Soluciones ha optimizado la gestión de recursos y mejorado la satisfacción del cliente, pero requiere de estrategias adicionales para una integración total y sostenida en la organización

It also seeks to evaluate the processes that were used by the entity and how it has had an impact within its locality, marking the key factors that have improved its positioning within the global market. As a data collection method, a survey was used, which was made up of eight questions, which was applied to a sample of 368 people, using as a base a population of 20,768 inhabitants of the San Juan parish of Pueblo Viejo. This tool allowed us to examine different aspects related to the users' perspective on the services offered by the agency, of which we can mention the quality of customer service, the ease of accessing financial products, the efficiency in carrying out banking procedures and the level of trust in the institution. The data obtained shows a high assessment by users of the agency. Among the highlighted elements, we can mention the improvements in the quality of customer service, an increase in service hours and the increase in the diversity of financial products that adapt to needs. Likewise, retention strategies, such as programs dedicated to financial education, discounts and promotions, have strengthened the relationship with users, contributing to the growth of the customer portfolio and a sustained increase in the financial institution's income. The focus on financial incorporation and personalization of services have been determining elements to establish user trust and promote economic reasonableness in the region. También se busca evaluar los procesos que fueron utilizados por la entidad y como ha tenido impacto dentro de su localidad, enmarcando los factores claves que han mejorado su posicionamiento dentro del mercado global. Como método de recolección de datos se hizo uso de una encuesta la cual estaba conformada por ocho preguntas, la misma que fue aplica a una muestra de 368 personas, usando como base una población de 20.768 habitantes de la parroquia San Juan de Pueblo viejo. Esta herramienta permitió examinar diferentes aspectos relacionados con la perspectiva de los usuarios sobre los servicios que ofrece la agencia, de los cuales se pueden mencionar la calidad en la atención al cliente, la facilidad para acceder a los productos financieros, la eficiencia en la realización de los trámites bancarios y el nivel de confianza en la institución. Los datos obtenidos evidencian una alta valoración por parte de los usuarios hacia la agencia. No full textIn the following experimental work, the purpose will be to evaluate and analyze the blood samples of broiler chickens in order to observe the glucose ranges, thus being able to verify if they are in optimal conditions so that they do not suffer from hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. To perform this analysis, the glucometer technique will be used in chickens that are under treatment with chamomile infusion in water. The samples already obtained from week 4 to week 7 showed that the glucose levels in the broiler chickens had a slight change in the part of lowering their levels, but their decrease is not simply due to the chamomile infusion that was administered but to the fact that the samples were taken in help which also contributed to the presentation of low glucose levels, this did not affect their development and growth but the results between weeks 4 and 5 were that the glucose levels were a little higher than 300 mg / dL, while from weeks 6 and 7 they were less than 300 mg / dL showing levels of 200 mg / dL. Para realizar este análisis se emplea la técnica del glucómetro en los pollos se que encuentren bajo el tratamiento de la infusión de la manzanilla en el agua. Las muestras ya obtenidas desde la semana 4 hasta la semana 7 mostraron que los niveles de glucosa en los pollos de engorde tuvieron un leve cambio en la parte de bajar sus niveles, pero su disminución no se debe simplemente a la infusión de manzanilla que se administró si no a que las muestras se las tomaba en ayuda lo cual también contribuye a que se presentaran niveles de glucosa bajos, esto no afecto a su desarrollo y crecimiento pero los resultados entres las semanas 4 y 5 fueron que los niveles de glucosa eran un poco mayor a 300 mg/dL, mientras que de las semanas 6 y 7 eran a menor a 300 mg/dL mostrando niveles de 200 mg/dL. Lo que esto nos demuestra que al estar expuesto a la administración la de infusión de la manzanilla en el agua y tomar las muestras en ayuno los niveles de glucosa mostrados tuvieron una disminución aunque esta no mostró cambios negativos ya que los pollos llegaron a su pesos promedios en las semanas correspondidas, pero más se recomienda tomar las muestras de glucosa cuando ya estos hayan comido para también saber si estos se encuentran estresados o si su alimentación está bien administrada ya que aquello también pueden perjudicar los niveles de glucosa
APP educativas y su impacto en el aprendizaje del vocabulario de inglés en los estudiantes del 9no año de EGB de la Unidad Educativa "28 de Mayo" período 2024 -2025
Get PDFThe present research analyzed the impact of the use of educational applications on the learning of English vocabulary in students of the 9th year of Basic General Education (EGB) of the "28 de Mayo" Educational Unit. A mixed methodological design was used, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data collection included a pre- and post-intervention diagnostic test, student questionnaires, and teacher interviews. The results showed a significant improvement in the academic performance of the students after using the applications. In the pre-test, only 17% of the students reached an Excellent level, while in the post-test, this percentage increased to 50%. Additionally, the percentage of students needing improvement decreased from 30% to 4%. The questionnaires revealed that 83.33% of students felt more motivated to learn English using applications, and the same proportion expressed preferring these tools over traditional methods. Teacher interviews indicated that apps such as Duolingo, Quizlet, and Kahoot facilitated vocabulary acquisition through interactivity and constant practice. However, teachers also pointed out challenges such as technological dependency and the need to integrate these tools with traditional pedagogical strategies. It was concluded that the educational applications had a positive impact on the acquisition and retention of vocabulary in English, by improving the motivation, active participation and autonomy of the students. La recolección de datos incluyó una prueba diagnóstica pre y post intervención, cuestionarios a estudiantes y entrevistas a docentes. Los resultados mostraron una mejora significativa en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes tras el uso de las aplicaciones. En el pre-test, solo el 17% de los estudiantes alcanzó un nivel Excelente, mientras que en el post-test, este porcentaje aumentó al 50%. Además, el porcentaje de estudiantes que necesitaban mejorar disminuyó del 30% al 4%. Los cuestionarios revelaron que el 83.33% de los estudiantes se sintió más motivado para aprender inglés utilizando aplicaciones, y la misma proporción expresó preferir estas herramientas sobre los métodos tradicionales. Las entrevistas a docentes indicaron que las aplicaciones como Duolingo, Quizlet y Kahoot facilitaron la adquisición del vocabulario mediante la interactividad y la práctica constante. Sin embargo, los docentes también señalaron desafíos como la dependencia tecnológica y la necesidad de integrar estas herramientas con estrategias pedagógicas tradicionales. Se concluyó que las aplicaciones educativas tuvieron un impacto positivo en la adquisición y retención del vocabulario en inglés, al mejorar la motivación, la participación activa y la autonomía de los estudiantes.
