The impact of temporal hydrogen regulation on hydrogen exporters and their domestic energy transition
As global demand for green hydrogen rises, potential hydrogen exporters move into the spotlight. However, the large-scale installation of on-grid hydrogen electrolysis for export can have profound impacts on domestic energy prices and energy-related emissions. Our investigation explores the interplay of hydrogen exports, domestic energy transition and temporal hydrogen regulation, employing a sector-coupled energy model in Morocco. We find substantial co-benets of domestic climate change mitigation and hydrogen exports, whereby exports can reduce domestic electricity prices while mitigation reduces hydrogen export prices. However, increasing hydrogen exports quickly in a system that is still dominated by fossil fuels can substantially raise domestic electricity prices, if green hydrogen production is not regulated. Surprisingly, temporal matching of hydrogen production lowers domestic electricity cost by up to 31% while the effect on exporters is minimal. This policy instrument can steer the welfare (re-)distribution between hydrogen exporting firms, hydrogen importers, and domestic electricity consumers and hereby increases acceptance among actors

KINiro, Künstliche Intelligenz für Nichtregierungsorganisationen - Bedarf, Akzeptanz und Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten. 2.
Compliant Robotic Arm based on a Tensegrity Structure with x-shaped Members
The use of intrinsically compliant tensegrity structures in manipulation systems is an attractive research topic. In this paper a 3D compliant robotic arm based on a stacked tensegrity structure consisting of x-shaped rigid members is considered. The rigid members are interconnected by a net of prestressed, tensioned members with pronounced intrinsic elasticity and by inelastic tensioned members. The system's motion is achieved by length-change of the inelastic tensioned members. The operating principle of the system is discussed with the help of kinematic considerations and verified by experiments
Technologies for Evaluation of Pelvic Floor Functionality: A Systematic Review
Pelvic floor dysfunction is a common problem in women and has a negative impact on their quality of life. The aim of this review was to provide a general overview of the current state of technology used to assess pelvic floor functionality. It also provides literature research of the physiological and anatomical factors that correlate with pelvic floor health. This systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines. The PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, and IEEE databases were searched for publications on sensor technology for the assessment of pelvic floor functionality. Anatomical and physiological parameters were identified through a manual search. In the systematic review, 114 publications were included. Twelve different sensor technologies were identified. Information on the obtained parameters, sensor position, test activities, and subject characteristics was prepared in tabular form from each publication. A total of 16 anatomical and physiological parameters influencing pelvic floor health were identified in 17 published studies and ranked for their statistical significance. Taken together, this review could serve as a basis for the development of novel sensors which could allow for quantifiable prevention and diagnosis, as well as particularized documentation of rehabilitation processes related to pelvic floor dysfunctions

EVALUATION OF THE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PYTHIA
Learning management systems gain importance due to the Corona pandemic. To personalize such a learning management system, a Moodle adaption named Pythia was created. Pythia is implemented as a Moodle plugin solution. The possibility of generating learning paths with various algorithms and the change of the graphical user interface is significant. Learning paths are generated with two different algorithms. Nestor algorithm generates learning paths with a Bayesian network, while Tyche algorithm uses a Markov model. The graphical user interface is adapted to the generated learning paths where learning element symbols are customized and the individual learning paths are depicted.
This paper presents the results of a qualitative survey among German students with the aim of evaluating the first version of the learning management system Pythia. 25 students took the subject “Software Engineering for Safe and Secure Systems” in the winter term of 2023/24. The 68 asked questions focus on usage behavior, graphical user interface, usability, preferences, volume, and quality of learning elements, and learning paths. Our Moodle course for the lecture contains seven sections, each section has minimum one subsection on which the learning path is calculated. Last three sections are designed by presenting minimum one learning element of each learning element category except the collaboration tool. In a previous work, ten learning element categories were designed and evaluated comprising manuscript, brief overview, learning goal, quiz, exercise, summary, three types of additional material, and collaboration tool. The first sections are left as they are initially designed by the lecturer (normal section). The survey considers the difference between normal sections and diverse sections. Furthermore, the generated learning paths are evaluated. 13 students undertook Nestor learning paths, whereas 12 undertook Tyche learning paths.
The results suggest that for the majority of students, the learning element symbols are well-chosen. Moreover, all students wish the elements relevant to the exam to be labelled. 23 students are overwhelmed by the number of learning elements in the last sections of the Moodle course. In the future, some suggestions will be implemented such as the labelling of exam relevant learning elements. To overcome the overload of learning elements, a strategy could be developed like hiding learning elements not preferred by the learning path algorithm

Sustainability Potential of Additive Manufactured Concrete Structures – Studies on the Life Cycle Assessment and Circularity of an Extruded Exterior Wall
The Brundtland Report defined sustainable development as a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. If this definition is applied to the construction sector, a new, circular approach to cementitious materials is required. Additive manufacturing (AM) enables to design material-efficient and monolithic structures that meet physical and chemical requirements of building standards while allowing reuse or high-quality recycling of concrete.
Here, the environmental impact as well as the circularity potential of an additively manufactured exterior wall, produced by 3D concrete extrusion, are determined. To classify the results, the additively manufactured exterior wall is compared with a conventional concrete construction. Finally, various options for optimizing the printed wall are considered and evaluated. Additive manufacturing enabled significant material savings compared to conventional construction. The environmental impacts strongly depend on the used concrete composition. For example, greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced by 20% when changing the type of lightweight aggregate. The additively manufactured exterior wall exhibited advantages in terms of circularity. Through further development and research, additive manufacturing of concrete can promote a paradigm shift towards sustainable practices
