Its prevalence among infertile women is between (15% to 20%). There is evidence that PCOS is a pro inflammatory disorder, characterized by the presence of low grade chronic inflammation that correlated with obesity or insulin resistance (IR). The present study aims to determine the role of immunological and physiological response in the pathogenesis of PCOS. The current study included 100 females diagnosed with PCOS, there were recruited from Kamal Al-kut hospital in Wasit during November 2022 until January 2023 , the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome was based on the Rotterdam 2003 criteria. The control group consists of 50 fertile women who have regular menstrual cycle with no sign of hyperandrogenism and subjected to ultrasound examination and have normal hormonal levels. The age was identical in both groups and it was between (20-40) years. The present study was carried out in two parts: immunological study. ELISA technique has been used to determine the serum level of Interlukine-15and IL6. The results of immunological study demonstrated that IL-15 andIL6 serum level were significantly increased (p<0.005)in pcos patients in comparison to control group. The mean level of that interleukin in patients and control group were (33.991±.57) pg/mL and (36.041±.03) and IL6 (85.944±.29), (84.24±6.39) pg/mL respectively. Conclusions: In patients with pcos, The plasma level of IL-15, IL-6 is a major independent inflammatory predictor. Also, a ncrease in this hormone levels is an important indicator in predicting polycystic ovary syndrome

Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has emerged as a harmful pandemic this century, brought on by severe acute respiratory illness coronavirus-2. An ecological study has shown that greater levels of vitamin D intake are inversely linked with the occurrence and/or death of COVID-19 in communities with a genetic predisposition towards low micronutrient levels. IgA, the predominant immunoglobulin of the respiratory system, is the main entry point for a variety of bacteria.. Aim: The IgA plasma levels of COVID-19 pregnant patients were examined to see if there was a relationship with their vitamin D levels.. Patients and methods: At Bint -Alhuda teaching hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology department and a private obstetrical clinic carried out a case control study from January to December 2022 to compare the levels of vitamin D and IgA in pregnant women with COVID-19 to those who did not have the virus. The study's objective was accomplished using a sample of 179 patients split into two groups. Group B comprised 77 healthy pregnant women who served as the control group, while Group A comprised 102 pregnant women who had COVID-19 at any point throughout their pregnancy... Results: The mean of trimester, parity, family history of COVID-19, presence of COVID-19, and immunization history were found to differ significantly (p<0.05) in this study. When compared to the control group, pregnant women with a COVID-19 infection were shown to have significantly reduced levels of vitamin D and IgA (P=0.0001). It's interesting to note that, independent of group, a small but statistically significant positive association was found between both Vit D levels and IgA levels. Further investigation revealed a correlation between an IgA level above >2.1 and a case's sensitivity of 72%, specificity of 63%, and accuracy of 68%.. Conclusion: COVID-19 infection among pregnant women was found to result in lower levels of Vitamin D and IgA. Both groups showed significant correlation between levels of Vit D and IgA

The article presents the results of clinical application of the method of local intraoperative hemostasis and improvement of reparative processes during operations on the thyroid gland. For clinical evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed method, two study groups were formed for 237 patients with mixed, nodular and diffuse toxic goiter. The main group consisted of 98 patients, and the comparison group - 139. In the main group of operated patients, hemostasis was carried out according to the method developed by us, and in the comparison group, by traditional methods. Surgery included thyroidectomy, hemithyroidectomy, and subtotal thyroidectomy. In the main group of patients, for the purpose of hemostasis, Hemoben powder crystals with a size of 25-50 microns were used at the rate of 200 mg per area of 8-9 cm2, which was applied over the wound with a thin layer until a thin translucent film was formed, followed by irradiation of the wound with low-energy laser radiation (Sogdiana apparatus) with a wavelength of 0.89 microns, a frequency of 500 Hz for 2 minutes at a distance of 5 cm from the wound; then, for 5-7 days, percutaneous irradiation sessions with the same laser at a frequency of 80 Hz were performed daily in the projection of the surgical wound. The study showed that the use of the domestic hemostatic agent Hemoben provides complete hemostasis, and the addition of the technique by treating the surgical field with low-intensity laser radiation enhances the reparative properties of the drug. The proposed method of local hemostasis and improvement of reparative processes during operations on the thyroid gland is characterized by a quick, effective and stable stop of bleeding, and also due to intra- and postoperative laser exposure, the course of the early postoperative period improves
