Demand and growth regimes in finance-dominated capitalism and the role of the macroeconomic policy regime: a post-Keynesian comparative study on France, Germany, Italy and Spain before and after the Great Financial Crisis and the Great Recession
We contribute to the recent debates on demand and growth regimes in modern finance-dominated capitalism linking them to the post-Keynesian research on macroeconomic policy regimes. We examine the demand and growth regimes, as well as the macroeconomic policy regimes for the big four Eurozone countries, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, for the periods 2001–2009 and 2010–2019. First, our approach supports the usefulness of the identification of demand and growth regimes according to growth contributions of the main demand components and financial balances of the macroeconomic sectors. This allows for an understanding of the demand sources of growth, or stagnation, if there is a lack of demand, of how these sources are financed and of potential financial instabilities and fragilities. Second, when it comes to the macroeconomic policy drivers of demand and growth regimes, as well as their respective changes, we show that the exclusive focus on fiscal policies, as in the previous literature, is too limited and that it is the macroeconomic policy regime which matters here, i.e. the combination of monetary, fiscal and wage policies, as well as the open economy conditions

Geschäftsmodellentwicklung mit dem Internet der Dinge - SCADA und Predictive Maintenance als kundenindivi� duelles Geschäftsmodell
SCADA und Predictive Maintenance sind einer der vielen Anwendungsbereiche
des Internet der Dinge und der Industrie 4.0. Es handelt sich dabei um das Auslesen
von Sensordaten innerhalb intelligenter Systeme und deren Auswertung mittels ei� ner künstlichen Intelligenz, um den Zustand dieser intelligenten Systeme laufend
zu überwachen und gegebenenfalls frühzeitig Maßnahmen gegen einen sich in den
Sensordaten abzeichnenden Defekt einzuleiten.
Die Übersetzung dieser Technologie in lukrative Geschäftsmodelle wird in der wis� senschaftlichen Literatur zwar diskutiert, ist im Vergleich zur technischen Diskus� sion allerdings unterrepräsentiert. Diese Arbeit bietet einen Überblick über die be� reits bestehende Forschung und entwickelt eigene, zukünftig einsetzbare Ansätze
für die Geschäftsmodellentwicklung mit Predictive Maintenance durch Kombina� tion von bestehenden Geschäftsmodellmustern. Im Rahmen der Analyse bestehen� der Literatur wurde festgestellt, dass sich Geschäftsmodelle im Internet der Dinge
und auf Basis von Predictive Maintenance unter Zuhilfenahme etablierter Modelle
und Leitfäden zur Geschäftsmodellentwicklung eher zu komplexeren theoretischen
Konstrukten statt zu kundenindividuellen Geschäftsmodellen entwickeln. Diese
Entwicklung steht damit dem langfristigen Trend entgegen, dass Kunden vermehrt
frei konfigurierbare, individuelle Angebote fordern.
Dadurch ergibt sich die Notwendigkeit einer Weiter- oder Neuentwicklung der
etablierten Modelle und Leitfäden zur Geschäftsmodellentwicklung, um die durch
das Internet der Dinge ermöglichten, neuen kundenindividuellen Geschäftsmodelle
hinreichend abbilden zu können.SCADA and predictive maintenance are one of the many application areas of the
Internet of Things and Industry 4.0. This involves reading sensor data within intel� ligent systems and evaluating it using artificial intelligence in order to continuously
monitor the status of these intelligent systems and, if necessary, initiate measures
at an early stage against a defect that is becoming apparent in the sensor data.
The translation of this technology into lucrative business models is discussed in the
scientific literature. However, it is underrepresented compared to the technical dis� cussion. This thesis provides an overview of existing research and develops its own
approaches applicable in the future for business model development with predictive
maintenance by combining existing business model patterns. As part of this, it was
found that business models in the Internet of Things and based on Predictive
Maintenance tend to evolve into more complex theoretical constructs rather than
customer-specific business models when using established models and guides for
business model development. This development thus runs counter to the long-term
trend toward offerings tailored to individual customers.
Therefore, it is necessary to further develop or redevelop the established models
and guidelines for business model development in order to be able to adequately
map the new customer-specific business models made possible by the Internet of
Things

We are living in the age of data, organizations are facing exponential growth in data. This growth
of data if not dealt with in the right approach will do more harm than good to the organization.
One of the most important aspects of data is data quality. Increased data quality ensures better
decision-making, thereby enabling companies to stay competitive in the market. Data quality
directly affects business decision-making, consequently having a direct effect on the KPIs of the
organization. So it is integral for growing organizations to gain an understanding of where they
stand with regards to their data quality to make improvements needed so data quality problems
won’t affect the organization's goals and KPIs. The topic of data quality is a topic that has been
addressed in numerous researches and from different aspects, there are many established and
interesting studies that have been done and resulted in different frameworks that are followed in
our days now and that shows how rich and important this topic is. The thesis aims to gain a more
precise understanding of how data quality can affect the ability of an organization to achieve the
set key performance indicators (KPIs). To do that this study will take a live example which is the
company of Uberall and do a case study on it, the situation of data quality of Uberall was
analyzed through interviews with different employees from different departments. This research
gives an insight into some precise data quality problems that Uberall is currently facing and
needs to address

Creating strong university brands by the use of co-creation teaching methods
Universities using traditional teaching methods have an educational problem which ultimately turns into a corporate branding issue. While there are some papers mentioning the powerful impact collaborative activities in higher education can have, there was no study found which measures quantitatively the effect of (co-created) teaching environments on consumer-based brand equity, brand preference and motivation. The objective of this thesis was to analyse how far collaborative teaching environments can contribute to co-creating strong university brands and by that solve educational and managerial issues. Therefore, a 4x3 between-subjects design was selected. The study found out that collaborative course design methods have a greater positive influence on outcome variables than traditional course design methods. Also, the flipped classroom model affects the outcomes variables more positively than conventional teaching methods. Implementing co-creation methods in higher education increases competitiveness of universities. In addition, there is not one best collaborative tactic, but several best tactics exist for different purposes. A strategically intelligent market position within higher education can be created by starting to implement the philosophy of co-creation by first applying a flipped classroom model. After universities master it, they should find ways to reduce the complexity factors of implementing collaborative course design methods and integrate those tactics into their arsenal. The study is so far limited that it only consisted of imagined scenarios and was not a field study. Further, scale reliability was not confirmed for every construct. Also, governmental regulations in higher education can restrict universities' collaborative designing efforts. Future researches should work on the notion of co-creation qualification in HE. So do specific types of students, courses and teachers qualify more for the integration of collaborative tactics than others. Last but not least, it remains unclear how far co-creation in the educational space can affect not only students' life at university, but majorly impact their personal development over a longer time period

This guidebook and its research results stem from the interregional collaboration of the STOB regions project.
The project, funded by the EU Commission, Interreg Europe, deals with the specific characteristics and challenges of business succession in small and medium enterprises (SME) in the European Union and addresses the complexity of the entire transfer process.
From the first thoughts of an owner to sell the business to the actual
transfer and beyond. Fundamentally, the project addresses all types of successions and transfers of business: family-internal transfers to, e.g., children and external transfers to investors or employees.
It also includes shared solutions where only (a part of the) management is handled externally, and ownership is not (or just partly) transferred
