    No full text
The tasks of modelling and the components of the basic model of applied task protection of a distributed information system have been considered. The measurement and relationship of security parameters, protection, new and reference attacks, anomalies, and threat environments have been proposed. The conditions of threats, attacks and, consequently, inconsistencies in the results of applied tasks are proved. At the beginning of the article the concept of a distributed information system, system of applied tasks, modern trends of zero-trust architecture in building information security systems are discussed. Further, it gives an overview of existing methods of detection and counteraction to attacks based on reference knowledge bases. To improve the level of security it is proposed to analyze the causes of attacks, namely hazards and threats to the system.Attacks, hazards and threats are considered as structured processes that affect the internal and external environment of the system of the applied tasks with a further impact on the output of these tasks. The concepts of security level and security level of a distributed information system are introduced, as well as the concepts of applied task, environment, and user contradictions. As the logical metrics of discrepancy detection the apparatus of semantic analysis is proposed, which (based on the reference knowledge base, the apparatus of text transformations) should be applied at the stage of loading of applied task and describe the input and output data, requirements to the environment of the task solution. The result of the research is the proposed method for identifying additional data about hazards, threats, attacks, countermeasures to attacks, applied task-solving. This data is generated from the reference and augmented textual descriptions derived from the proposed contradictions. By building additional reference images of threats, attacks, countermeasures, it becomes possible to prevent the activation of new attacks on the distributed information system.Problems in programming 2021; 2: 016-02

Development of domain thesaurus as a set of ontology concepts with use of semantic similarity and elements of combinatorial optimization

    No full text
We consider use of ontological background knowledge in intelligent information systems and analyze directions of their reduction in compliance with specifics of particular user task. Such reduction is aimed at simplification of knowledge processing without loss of significant information. We propose methods of generation of task thesauri based on domain ontology that contain such subset of ontological concepts and relations that can be used in task solving. Combinatorial optimization is used for minimization of task thesaurus. In this approach, semantic similarity estimates are used for determination of concept significance for user task. Some practical examples of optimized thesauri application for semantic retrieval and competence analysis demonstrate efficiency of proposed approach.Prombles in programming 2021; 2: 03-1

Trifolium rubens is a Central European forest-steppe plant species reaching its eastern distribution limit in Ukraine and listed in the Red Book of Ukraine (2009).Our study was carried out in 2016–2020 and aimed to analyze the distribution of T. rubens in Ukraine, to identify the composition of phytocoenoses with T. rubens, and to evaluate the current state of its populations in the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine. The distribution of this species was analyzed based on data obtained from the field surveys, literature, online resources, and herbaria. In total, 78 localities of T. rubens were analyzed. Trifolium rubens was found to be distributed in Zakarpattia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, and Vinnytsia regions of Ukraine. Two of these regions (Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi) were not mentioned before in the Red Book of Ukraine. The presence of T. rubens in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions is doubtful and not confirmed by recent data. Most localities of this species are known from Zakarpattia and Lviv regions.Three new localities were found in the Beregovo district of the Zakarpattia region in the foothills of the Volcanic Carpathians. The floristic compositions of the plant communities and ontogenetic structure of T. rubens populations in Beregovo and Mukachevo districts of the Zakarpattia region were investigated. Investigated populations are isolated with a dispersed disposition of plants on large areas. Trifolium rubens occurs here in meadow-steppe and meadow areas, on hillsides, and also participate in mesoxerophilous secondary (semi-natural) shrub communities in anthropogenically transformed areas. Often such populations are situated along pathways, on forest edges and fallow lands, and associated with ecotones of Trifolio-Geranietea sanguinei class. All studied populations were incomplete with the domination of generative shoots

The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a plant having hermaphroditic flowers, which are self-fertilizing. Common bean is a important commercial crop and one of Turkey’s most valuable grain legumes for human consumption. Genetic variation exists within and between bean populations. These variations can have an impact on the plants morphology, including reproductive organs. Variations in size and length of reproductive organs may cause different cell numbers and various fertilization successes. In this study, the response of four determinate common bean genotypes (Akman, Bitlis 117, Göksun, and Karacaşehir) to reproductive organ structure was studied. Plants were grown at 21/16 °C (day/night) and 12 h photoperiod in a greenhouse in Mersin, Turkey. Besides focusing mainly on pollen development, fertilization success factors such as pod and seed set were also assessed. Pod and seed set were evaluated numerically for each genotype. For pollen morphology, flower buds of the equal growth stage of all four bean genotypes were collected, and these samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. The species have distinct morphological characteristics concerning pollen size, ornamentation patterns of the exine, and endoaperture type. It is also crucial to examine pollen dispersion in the pollinated flowers, as it may influence reproductive success. However, pollen wall architecture was similar in all genotypes tested. Despite general morphological similarity, differences in pollen viability and pod and seed number were observed. Although Akman genotype had the largest flowers, the Karacaşehir genotype was found to be the most productive one. The findings presented here can be helpful for researchers studying bean breeding and those investigating the morphological variation in different Phaseolus genotypes

Medicinal plants can be used as reducing agents in the preparation of metal nanoparticles by green synthesis because of the chemotherapeutic and anti-infectious properties of natural compounds. Therefore, this paper reports the green synthesis of silver and iron nanoparticles from leaf and flower extracts of Nerium oleander and their capacity as anticancer and antimicrobial agents. Nanoparticle manufacturing and structural characterization of silver and iron nanoparticles are reported. The formation of nanoparticles is characterized by scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, UV-Vis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Nanoparticles formation was also investigated the surface charge, particle size, and distribution using zeta sizer analysis by DLS. Green synthesis of silver and iron nanoparticles using N. oleander showed different levels of selective cytotoxicity against K562 (human chronic myeloid leukemia cells) in low concentrations and were not cytotoxic to the HUVEC (human umbilical vein endothelial cells) in the same concentrations. Silver nanoparticles showed antibacterial activity against multidrug pathogens, while iron nanoparticles failed to show such activity. Results of the present research demonstrate the potential use of green synthesized nanoparticles in various biomedicine and pharmaceuticals fields in the future

Application of ontological analysis for metadata processing in the interpretation of BIG DATA at the semantic level

    No full text
The paper considers the main aspects of modern technologies applied for  knowledge analysis to obtain information from Big Data. The analysis of the current state of research in this area shows that background knowledge subject areas of user interest represented by domain ontologies can be used  both in order to effectively analysis of information acquried from certain sets of Big Data, and to make this acquisition more useful. With the help of such ontologies, users can formally describe the scope of their information needs, define the structure of the required information objects and explicitly highlight critical for current task domain aspects. Subject of rocessing  in the semantics analysis  of Big Data is their metadata usually represented by unstructured natural language text. We need to standardize the representation of meta-descriptions wit  use of appropriate ontologies that determine the structure and content of individual elements of metadata.Problems in programming 2020; 4: 55-7

    Toward software artifacts ecosystem

    Get PDF
In the process of developing and maintaining a software product, many things are created and used that are called software artefacts. Software artifacts are created, changed, reused, and change relationships in the development and maintenance processes of a software product. The complexity and variety of software artifact relationships require adequate means of description and management. They may be a software artifacts ecosystem. In the article, for the first time, a concept of a software artifact ecosystem is proposed. The concept describes a generic model of the software artifacts ecosystem, which is the Cornerstone ecosystem type and consists of three actors — the platform, the software, and the artifact. Based on the generic model, the SD model of the software artifacts ecosystem is described. The roles of actors in the ecosystem are indicated, the relationships between actors are described. The developer's activities will be more efficient, the software is understandable, and the development and maintenance is cheaper when the styles (standards) are used. As case study, based on the generic model of the software artifacts ecosystem, a declarative model of the programming style ecosystem has been developed. Three-level model of programming style artifact is proposed. The tools and processes for creating and using a programming style artifact are developed and described.Problems in programming 2020; 4: 110-12

Automation of solving planimetry problems written in Ukrainian

    No full text
The article focuses on developing a software solution for solving planimetry problems that are written in Ukrainian. We discuss tendencies and available abilities in Ukrainian natural language processing. Presenting a comprehensive analysis of different types of describing a problem, which shows regularities in the formulation and structure of the text representation of problems. Also, we demonstrate the similarities of writing a problem not only in Ukrainian but also in Belarusian, English, and Russian languages. The final result of the paper is a system that uses the morphosyntactic analyzer to process a problem’s text and provide the answer to it. Ukrainian natural language processing is growing rapidly and showing impressive results. Huge possibilities appear as the Gold standard annotated corpus for Ukrainian language was recently developed. The created architecture is flexible, which indicates the possibility of adding both new geometry figures and their properties, as well as the additional logic to the program. The developed system with a little reformatting can be used with other natural languages, such as English, Belarusian or Russian, as the algorithm for text processing is universal due to the globally accepted representations for presenting such types of mathematical problems. Therefore, the further development of the system is possible.Problems in programming 2020; 4: 71-8
