Teaching Tip on 'Discovering Plate Boundaries'
I use the powerpoint slides from the teaching tips provided to show students an example of a completed map. I only do this after they have been observing the maps and have thoroughly READ them. Doing this seems to jumpstart the movement of their observations to their blank maps.
Teaching Tip on 'Explorations Through Time'
I recommend reading every piece of information and not just skipping over, because information is carried on from section to section.
Teaching Tip on 'Seasoning for the School Year: A Recipe for Success'
I don't have any tips regarding this lesson; it is very thorough, yet easy to understand. There are examples of rubrics to use and the lesson is written straight to the point. The other thing that is great about the lesson is that it brings technology into the classroom, which is very important.
Teaching Tip on 'Fundamentals of Physical Geography'
I am an airline pilot, and a flight instructor and I have been using this site to prepare for an interview with a major airline. The material on the inter-tropical convergence zone is excellent and I find the links to terms great, the only thing I would add are more illustrations; a picture says a thousand words.
Cheers
Teaching Tip on 'All About Snow'
Overall, very good site! Great and accurate facts, good pictures, and good question and answer. Keep up the good work!
Teaching Tip on 'Our Solar System (title provided or enhanced by cataloger)'
This is a great resource to find distance data and proportions of the planets to the sun to show distance physically.
