Teaching Tip on 'A Paleo Perspective on Global Warming'
Some students had difficulty interpreting the temperature graphs.
Teaching Tip on 'Yosemite in Depth: Geology'
Let the information and images soak in. Take good notes, make sure you understand them to the point you don't have to look back on your notes. Think of some creative ways to share this information with your students, if you can.
Teaching Tip on 'Fundamentals of Physical Geography'
Excellent resource for all things physical geography!
Teaching Tip on 'Mud Fossils'
I thought this was a great source to go to if you wanted to do an activity with students about fossils. It is very simple and the instructions are easy to follow. I really liked how detailed the information was. I think that for a younger age group some of the questions need to be more general, so it is geared toward their understanding. I thought this was a great layout and would love to try it with my students some day.

A great fundamental basis for physical geography. Examples of case studies could have been a little more detailed.
Teaching Tip on 'Windows to the Universe'
I used one of the activities that was entitled snack tectonics. The students enjoyed it because they got to play with food. They also enjoyed eating their "plates" after the activity was over.
Teaching Tip on 'The Antarctic Ozone Hole'
I went to this site to learn about the Antarctic Ozone Hole. At this site, I was able to view graphs showing the extent of the hole during a particular season and over time. The data for some of the graphs was given so that if I wished, I could have plotted those data myself.
Teaching Tip on 'Geology Explorer: Planet Oit Information'
This resource is helpful to familiarize yourself with rocks in various regions. Plan to commit yourself to many hours completing this program because it runs slowly and it's not the most creative and interesting program to complete.
