    DEVELOPMENT OF AFFECTIVE ASSESSMENTS ON STUDENT ENGAGEMENT IN LEARNING INDONESIAN LANGUAGE

    The aim of this research is to develop an affective assessment to measure student participation in learning Indonesian. Effective assessment must include emotional dimensions, attitudes and values ​​that support student participation in the learning process. Assessment tools that integrate the principles of polite language skills not only measure student participation and interest, but also ensure that classroom interactions reflect the values ​​of politeness and respect. The method used in this research includes a literature review. The research results show that the developed affect assessment can provide a comprehensive picture of students' affective engagement and positively improve the quality of Indonesian language learning. Active and responsible student participation is expected to support the achievement of comprehensive and meaningful educational goals

    Teachers as human resources have a very important role in achieving the goals of educational institutions. Paying attention to teacher job satisfaction is an important step to improve the quality of education and ensure their welfare. Therefore, in-depth research is needed on the factors that influence teacher job satisfaction, as a basis for evaluating management policies and practices in educational institutions. This paper presents a study of the influence of compensation, work environment, and extrinsic motivation on teacher job satisfaction at the Roudlotul Jannah Education Foundation. This research is a type of quantitative research. The subjects in this research were teachers at the Roudlotul Jannah Education Foundation. The technique used in sampling was a saturated sampling technique with a total of 46 respondents. The method used in analyzing is multiple linear regression. The results of the research show that the compensation variable has a significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction with a value of t count 6,077 > t-table 1,681952, the work environment variable has a significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction with a value of t count 2,653 > t-table 1,681952, then the extrinsic motivation variable has a significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction with a calculated t value 2,125 > t-table 1,681952,  while the variables of compensation, work environment, and extrinsic motivation simultaneously have a significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction at the Roudlotul Jannah Education Foundation

    The phenomenon of the integration of prayer in the management of Islamic boarding school education is an important topic to study in the context of the development of religious culture and spiritual leadership in Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to explore how the integration of prayer can build religious culture and spiritual leadership in Islamic boarding schools. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used to explore this phenomenon. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation in several Islamic boarding schools in Madura, East Java. The results of the study show that shalawat plays a significant role in the daily life of students and the management of Islamic boarding schools. The integration of prayer helps create a religious atmosphere, improve student discipline, and strengthen spiritual leadership in Islamic boarding schools. The implication of this study is the importance of adopting the integration of prayer as a managerial strategy in pesantren education to form religious character and effective leadership

    Background: Neurolinguistic speech disorders, including aphasia, apraxia, and agnosia, significantly impact communication by disrupting different aspects of language and cognitive processing. Specific Background: Aphasia results from brain damage affecting language processing, apraxia impairs the motor planning required for speech production, and agnosia involves the inability to recognize familiar objects or sounds despite preserved sensory functions. Knowledge Gap: Despite substantial research into these disorders, there remains a need for comprehensive analysis and integration of their phonetic and phonological dimensions, as well as the development of targeted rehabilitation strategies to address these aspects effectively. Aims: This study aims to analyze the phonetic and phonological aspects of aphasia, apraxia, and agnosia and to propose rehabilitation strategies that focus on phonological and phonetic retraining to improve communication abilities in affected individuals. Results: The analysis reveals distinct phonetic and phonological challenges associated with each disorder. Aphasia is characterized by deficits in language processing, apraxia by disruptions in speech motor planning, and agnosia by impaired recognition of sounds and objects. Rehabilitation strategies that emphasize phonological and phonetic retraining have shown promise in enhancing recovery and improving communication abilities. Novelty: This research integrates findings from leading experts to provide a comprehensive overview of how these disorders affect phonetic and phonological processes and highlights novel rehabilitation approaches tailored to address these specific challenges. Implications: The study underscores the importance of targeted rehabilitation strategies in improving communication outcomes for individuals with neurolinguistic speech disorders and suggests further investigation into the effectiveness of these interventions in clinical settings

    Text-based Learning (TBL) has been extensively employed in EFL classrooms in Uzbekistan. The curriculum requires teachers to exploit the structure of various texts for communicative purposes. Similarly, in tertiary level, lecturers do the same thing for teaching reading, speaking, writing, and even listening. It is true that some literature offer the merits of using text-based learning. However, we also need to listen to EFL teachers’ real practice, so when implementing it in our own classroom, we, teachers, can anticipate the problem and implement the text-based learning well. This paper is aimed at presenting EFL pre-service teachers’ problems and strategies in their first-time teaching English using Text-based learning viewed from the sociocultural approach. By so doing, the problems and strategies are not only individually developed but also socially developed through social interaction or what so-called the sociocultural approach.
