Soft Leadership and its Role in Achieving Strategic Ambidexterity Views of a Sample of Senior Leaders in Technical Colleges in the AI-Furat Al-Awsat
The current research aims to test the relationship and influence between Soft leadership and: Strategic Ambidexterity. The Soft leadership variable includes four dimensions represented by (communication skills, initiative skills, training skills, team building) and its role in achieving Strategic Ambidexterity, which includes two dimensions (exploitation and exploration). This research relied on the analytical method for the data collected from the opinions of a sample consisting of (67) questionnaires collected from senior leaders in technical colleges in the Middle Euphrates, which number four colleges, which are (Technical College / Musayyib, Technical Engineering College / Najaf, Technical Administrative College / Kufa, College of Health and Medical Technologies / Kufa). Research hypotheses were tested using simple correlation coefficients, multiple regression analysis, and many other appropriate statistical tools to achieve the goals of the current study using this procedure (SPSS.v.24).The results reached in the practical side of the research proved the validity of the proposed hypotheses, in the light of which the researchers concluded a number of results, most notably the existence of a moral and positive effect between soft leadership and Strategic Ambidexterity. Through Soft leadership, the leader deals with team members in a manner that enhances confidence, will and initiative. The soft leader encourages personal development and enhances the capabilities of individuals to contribute to the strategic decision-making process and its implementation. By establishing strong relationships and a positive work culture, a soft leader can foster a willingness to experiment with ideas and implement strategic changes to adapt to internal and external developments
Spatial Variation of Divorce Cases in Iraq (2017-2022) Causes - Effects – Treatments
The population life phenomena represented by births, deaths, migration, marriage, and divorce are the mirror that reflects the economic, social, cultural, political, and cultural conditions of Iraq, for the period (2017-2022), as they are among the dangerous societal phenomena that affect individuals and families. The research has relied on the descriptive approach to describe and analyze the phenomenon under discussion ofthe study. The research aims to reveal the spatial and temporal variation in the phenomenon of divorce recorded in Iraq according to the governorates and to analyze the geographical factors affecting this variation in order to seek to find the necessary solutions to reduce the problem. The study showed that there was a spatial variation in the number of divorce cases by governorate, as the absolute and relative importance varied toward rise and fall and according to administrative units, as well as variation in the size of the total increase and the percentage of annual change between governorates. Teacher’s Attitude Towards Academic Supervision in the HTTTCS in English-Speaking Universities in Cameroon
The aim of this paper was to examine staff perceptions and attitudes towards Academic supervision in Higher Technical Teacher Training Colleges in English-Speaking Universities in Cameroon. The mixed method research design was adopted for this work which combines elements of qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Two sampling techniques were used in this study - the purposive and simple random sampling techniques. The sample of this study was made up of 70 respondents out of 146 staff from the HTTTCs in the two English-Speaking Universities of Bamenda and Buea. The instruments for data collection were a structured questionnaire and an interview guide. The quantitative data (from questionnaire) was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics while the qualitative data (from interview guide) was analyzed using thematic content analysis. Findings revealed that 58.4% of the respondents have negative perceptions and attitude towards the practice of academic supervision in HTTTCs in English speaking Universities. The study recommends that administrators should be able to possess high professional qualifications and be better role models to their teachers and students. In addition, because they have the overall responsibility over the school programme, administrators should be offered training on instructional leadership to enable them provide expert leadership with regards to academic supervision, and in all areas of the institutions’ programmes
Blues as Identity in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom
This paper explores how African Americans ascribe their identity through blues music, emphasizing its role as a cultural apparatus for affirming social identity. Renowned playwright August Wilson, particularly in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," employs the blues to establish and reinforce African American identity against the backdrop of a predominantly white society. Drawing on Social Identity Theory, which reconceptualizes self-identification and self-categorization in relation to group membership, the paper highlights how Wilson's work distinguishes the 'us' from 'them.' The research aims to investigate the function of blues music in shaping African American cultural identity, examining its impact on group solidarity and resistance to assimilation. Methodologically, the study analyzes the narrative and characters in Wilson's play, correlating their experiences with the theoretical framework. Results indicate that blues music serves as a pivotal tool for cultural affirmation, with characters like Ma Rainey asserting their identity against oppressive forces. The study concludes that the play underscores the importance of cultural preservation and suggests further research into the psychological impacts of cultural dislocation and the role of artistic expression in maintaining group solidarity
The Importance of Using Humanistic theory in Teaching English
Humanistic theory is used as one of the main theories in language leaning inside the class. It strives to help people maximize their well-being and fulfill their potential emphasizes. It looks at the whole individual and stresses concepts such as self-efficacy, self-actualization, and free will. Rather than concentrating on dysfunction. In this study, we have explored the theoretical background of humanistic theory, and clarified the main role of the teacher and the learner in order to have clear ideas about the value of humanistic theory in the process of teaching. Analyzing the principles of the humanistic theory is the evaluation of this study in language teaching / learning field, the study has been investigated on how much learners' needs is adequate in this approach.
