Treating Scale Deposits in Pipes Using Ultrasonic

One of the most important technical and economic problems is the calcification of scales on the surface of the transport pipes and heat exchanger due to the flow of tough water. Combining ultrasound with other techniques leads to highly efficient results in treating calcification. This study combines two techniques to treat calcification: the first is physical, represented by ultrasound using an ultrasonic device with a frequency of 25 kHz, and the second is chemical, represented by adding weak acids (citric acid, salicylic acid, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid). We immersed the samples in the system tank containing hard water for three months, until a layer of calcifications formed on the surface. Afterwards, we treated the samples using ultrasound technology, applying concentrations of (1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 6%) of the used acids at a temperature of 40 °C. That using ultrasonic technology in conjunction with weak acids leads to positive results in removing limescale deposits in transport pipes. Specifically, citric acid proved to be the most effective in removing limescale deposits, as it showed a long period of effectiveness. The best concentration of citric acid was applied to a sample of heat exchanger pipes that had previously been exposed to limescale deposits, which prevents the metal from corrosion

    No full text
Typhoid fever is still widespread and dangerous in low- and middle-income countries. Antibiotics are commonly used for treatment, but endemic countries have experienced problems with drug-resistant strains, making treatment time-consuming and expensive. Salmonella enterica, the causative agent of typhoid fever (S. typhi), remains a problem in many low- and middle-income countries. In industrialized countries, improved sanitation and food hygiene has been an effective means of fighting diseases. However, in most of the affected regions, this progress has been limited by slow socio-economic progress. As a result, vaccination is an effective means of preventing the disease in both the short and medium term. The oral typhoid vaccine and the Vi polysaccharide typhoid vaccine have been available for a long time, but most of the population, especially infants and children under the age of two, are still at risk. Efforts to prevent typhoid fever have recently increased thanks to conjugated vaccines based on Vi polysaccharides and funding to support vaccination by the Gavi Alliance. The supply of the vaccine will be crucial, and numerous efforts are being made to provide new typhoid vaccines to populations in dire need. This review provides an overview of licensed typhoid vaccines, as well as potential vaccines that are currently under development, as well as prospects for their implementation

This presented article provides an analysis of the importance, importance and relevance of the vaccine specifically in the prevention of typhoid and paratyphoid. And the main purpose of this presented work is to outline the importance of vaccination and a brief analysis of modern approaches to the prevention of typhoid and paratyphoid. To date, a number of research projects are underway to introduce various generations of vaccines into practice. However, no matter how high the activity of the vaccine is, it requires sufficient knowledge of the specifics of indications for use, contraindications to use and side effects. Thus, over the past hundred years, preventive vaccination has significantly reduced the incidence and mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. This process is regulated by the national schedule of routine vaccination in all countries. All children should be able to reach their full potential in health and well-being, and no child should die from preventable causes
