Japan Leads in Integrating Foresight into Innovation Policy

    Get PDF
This article examines the evolution of scientific and technological Foresight research over the past decade, particularly in Japan, highlighting its integration into science, technology, and innovation policy formulation. Initially limited to analytical reports, Foresight now includes interdisciplinary and intersectoral approaches, utilizing advanced methods such as weak signals and "jokers" to enhance research robustness. The study addresses the knowledge gap in understanding the impact of these integrated methods on policy development. It aims to analyze Japan's significant financial investments in R&D, predominantly funded by the private sector, and the role of government support through initiatives like those from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The results show that Japan's approach has maintained its competitive edge in the global market by fostering innovation and aligning national priorities with global trends. The implications suggest that other nations can enhance their technological capabilities by creating integrated and well-supported research environments. Further research should explore the long-term impacts of these foresight practices on innovation ecosystems and the potential of emerging methodologies in shaping future technological landscapes

Impact of IAS IFRS on Reducing Information Risk and Enhancing Financial Performance in Iraq

    Get PDF
This study investigates the recent implementation of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Iraq, highlighting its impact on enhancing information quality, reducing risk, and improving financial performance efficiency. The interconnected system of these standards ensures operational efficacy and provides accurate, relevant information for informed decision-making. Despite these benefits, information quality poses a risk unless specific attributes are met, affecting financial performance and information accuracy. The study identifies a positive relationship between lower information risk and higher accounting performance, supported by a significant T-test result (computed value: 12.062, tabulated value: 2.82). This research aims to evaluate the effects of IAS/IFRS adoption on information risk and accounting performance, using hypothesis testing to validate findings. The results underscore the importance of rigorous standards in mitigating information risk and enhancing financial outcomes

Alcoholic Plant Extracts' Impact on Trichophyton rubrum Growth Characteristics

    Get PDF
This study investigates the inhibitory effects of alcoholic extracts from Sidr, castor, and sage plants, individually and in combination, on the growth characteristics of Trichophyton rubrum, a dermatophyte fungus. Plant parts were processed into extracts and applied to culture media. Results indicate significant inhibition of fungal colony growth and dry weight, with higher concentrations yielding greater inhibition. The combination of Sidr and castor extracts exhibited the most pronounced inhibitory effect. Microscopic examination revealed varied impacts on fungal morphology, including filament distortion and protoplasm separation. These findings underscore the potential of these plant extracts as antifungal agents, emphasizing the importance of considering both extract type and concentration. This research fills a gap in understanding the efficacy of natural extracts against dermatophyte fungi and suggests avenues for further exploration in antifungal therapy

Crisis Management Leadership Study: Case Analysis Report

    Get PDF
This article intends to examine the importance of conveying information in a timely manner, ensuring message clarity, and tailoring communications to suit the specific needs of the target audience. These factors are important to maintain transparency and trust during a crisis. The method used in this research is a literature study method by taking several articles in Scopus indexed journals based on the years 2010-2023, based on fields, and also based on foreign language articles. The analysis used in this research is literature review analysis. Data in the context of a literature review involves the systematic examination and synthesis of existing research findings and data related to a particular topic or research question. In the context of educational research. The results of this research emphasize the importance of leadership qualities such as empathy, adaptability, and clear communication in managing crises effectively. Leaders who demonstrate empathy and actively listen to the concerns and needs of their teams and stakeholders will be better prepared to provide necessary support and guidance during a crisis. They must prioritize clear and timely communications, leveraging multiple channels to reach all stakeholders and address potential misinformation or confusion. Additionally, leaders must be adaptable and open to changing circumstances, continually reassessing their strategy, and making necessary adjustments

Biochemical Composition Analysis of Hot Pepper Varietal Samples in Greenhouse Conditions

    Get PDF
This study investigates the biochemical composition of 35 varietal samples of hot pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) cultivated in greenhouse conditions to address the knowledge gap in understanding the nutrient profile and spiciness of these cultivars. Utilizing a combination of greenhouse and laboratory experiments, the research adheres to established methodologies for vegetable crop studies and employs statistical analysis via Microsoft Excel. Findings reveal significant variations in dry substance, ascorbic acid, mono- and disaccharides, and nitrate content among the samples. Key results indicate that specific cultivars exhibit higher nutrient levels and spiciness compared to the control variety, Margilon 330. The implications of this research suggest the potential for breeding hot pepper varieties with enhanced nutritional quality and suitability for greenhouse cultivation, contributing to improved agricultural practices and consumer health benefits

Empowering MSMEs Kedungrejo Village Governments Role

    Get PDF
This study investigates the role of village government in fostering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kedungrejo Village, Indonesia, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Through purposive sampling, informants including village officials and MSME operators were interviewed, observed, and studied through documentation. Results reveal that the village government primarily acts as a facilitator by providing administrative support and venues for training facilitated by third parties, while regulatory efforts largely adhere to existing policies. However, communication gaps between the government and MSME community hinder effective catalytic roles. Supporting factors include third-party interventions enhancing MSME skills through social media, whereas inhibiting factors encompass low business management proficiency among MSME operators and inadequate reciprocity towards government-provided facilities. These findings underscore the complexities and nuances in local government support for MSMEs, suggesting avenues for policy refinement and community engagement to bolster MSME development in rural settings

Calf Gender with Milk Traits Relationship on Buffaloes

    Get PDF
The study investigates the relationship between calf gender and milk traits in buffaloes (Bubalis bubalis) in Iraq during the 2018/2019 lactating season. Despite extensive research on buffalo milk production, the specific impact of calf gender on milk traits remains underexplored. Using a sample of 700 milk analyses from 72 buffaloes, fat, protein, and lactose percentages were measured alongside daily milk yield. Results showed a significant effect (P≤0.05) of calf gender on daily milk yield, with higher yields for cows birthing male calves (7.77 ±0.48 liters) compared to female calves (6.22 ±0.51 liters). However, calf gender did not significantly influence the percentages of protein, fat, lactose, and solid-not-fat (SNF) components. These findings suggest that while calf gender impacts overall milk yield, it does not affect milk composition, highlighting the potential for targeted breeding strategies using sexed semen to optimize milk production and economic outcomes for dairy farmers. Further research with larger samples over multiple seasons is recommended to confirm these findings
