Implementation of Education and Training in Improving the Performance of Civil Servants at the Agency of Regional Staffers and Human Resources Development in Tambrauw District
This study aims to describe the role of education and training in improving the performance of Civil Servants (PNS), the driving and inhibiting factors of the implementation of education and training, the impact of the implementation of education and training on improving the performance of civil servants, and the objectives of education and training in improving performance. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The findings of the research are that education and training play an important role so that Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) can recognize, understand and explore the meaning of the values of the duties and responsibilities of PNS. The driving factors in the CPNS basic training activities are the demands to carry out ASN competency development, the need to produce professional civil servants with character, based on ASN's basic values, the need to prepare civil servants in the midst of changing times and technology, and provide solutions to problems in society. The challenges in basic CPNS training are the diversity of backgrounds of the trainees, the availability of the budget and training facilities and infrastructure. The results of the study also found a positive impact from basic training activities in improving CPNS performance in accordance with the achievement of the objectives of implementing CPNS basic training

E-Ticketing System of Airline Operators in Nigeria: Evolution, Chalenges, Propects
The study investigated the E-ticketing system on airline operators: evolution, challenges and prospect. The population of the study was targeted at six airline operating firms in Port, Harcourt, Rivers State. From the total population of 184 a sample of 166 staff was determined using Taro Yamane’s formula via purposively with stratified random sampling techniques. Three research questions and three research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A researcher constructed instrument called “ESECPQ’’ E-Ticketing System Evolution, Challenges and Prospect Questionnaire which was validated and the reliability coefficient above 0.70 being tested by Cronbach Alpha formula. Data Collected were analyzed using independent criterion mean, standard deviation analysis and Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Co-efficient. Findings of the study reveal affirmative and substantial correlated betwixt e-ticketing customer technical support, data security, users’ friendliness and customer fulfillment. In conclusion e-ticketing has future prospects in the aviation industries. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended among others that airlines operators should ensure to build proficiency adequate security, convenience, customer technical support and trust in the aviation industries

Capital Market Development and Manufacturing Sub-Sector Output in Nigeria
The role of the capital market in generating the funds that fits the long term gestation of the manufacturing sector is sacrosanct for the productive sector in Nigeria. This study examined the effect of the capital market development on the variations in the manufacturing sector output in Nigeria. The study thus modeled manufacturing sector output as a function of market capitalization ratio, turnover ratio, all share index and new issues as proxies for capital market development. Secondary data obtained from the CBN Statistical bulletin were analyzed with Auto-regressive Distributive Lag model. The results showed that capital market development indicators have significant long and short run effect on manufacturing sector output in Nigeria; wherein the causal relationship runs from the manufacturing sector output to market capitalization and new issues, and from turnover ratio (liquidity) to manufacturing sector output. It further showed that the long run effect is driven by the positive and significant effect of the market capitalization ratio on manufacturing output. The short run dynamism revealed the only 19% adjustment of deviation was returned to equilibrium with positive effects from the turnover ratio (liquidity) and new issues ratio (new funds) whereas market capitalization adversely affect growth of manufacturing sector. The study thus conclude that capital market is veritable for the manufacturing sector growth
