Investigating the Importance of Technology in Teaching-Learning Writing Skill
Get PDFWriting is a constituent element of literacy. It is a daily practice that enables individuals to express their thoughts and emotions. The usage of technology improves writing skills in the classroom. Every day, new types of technology emerge, and educators must integrate these tools into the classroom. By integrating technology, instructors provide additional chances and ways to boost their students' ability to create more thorough and grammatically perfect essays. The current research represents an analysis of 20 studies that are interested in investigating the role and significance of technology in teaching the basic 'writing' skill of English. The study is based on studies conducted between 2015-2020. The literature review, therefore, begins from the latest study (i.e., published in 2020) up to the oldest one (i.e., published in 2015). The presence of technological tools may increase student motivation and engagement and allow them to revise and share their work with others. In addition, new technical instruments are redefining modern skills in writing. Finally, it is recommended that the implementation of technology in the education sector is important in order to enable educational institutions, teachers, and learners to benefit completely from keeping up with distance learning and the use of technology
Approaching Hemingway’s ‘The Killers’ in Terms of Garima’s Actantial Model

Through a close examination of Hemingway's "The Killers," the narrative is dissected into key components including exposition, rising incidents, climax, falling incidents, and resolution, each analyzed using the Actantial Model. By applying this methodology, the study aims to elucidate the motivations and relationships of characters within each episode, leveraging Hemingway's distinctive writing style to uncover deeper themes and meanings. The research identifies a gap in the understanding of how the Actantial Model can be effectively applied to literary analysis. Using a qualitative approach, the study applies the Actantial Model to "The Killers" and reveals its utility in uncovering narrative complexities. The findings underscore the Actantial Model's potential as a structural framework for analyzing narratives, shedding light on character dynamics and narrative depth. This research contributes to the broader discourse on narrative analysis and offers implications for future studies in literary theory and semiotics
Preliminary Monitoring of Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) Migration Patterns in the Waters Botubarani Village Gorontalo Based on Satellite Marker Monitoring
Get PDFThis research aims to determine the migration patterns of Whale Sharks using satellite markers in the waters of Botubarani Village, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. This research was conducted from April 2023 to December 2023 using satellite-based technology by installing satellite tagging (Finmount Tag) on two individual whale sharks that often appear at the research location with codes ID 53 and ID 55. Tagging was carried out using the containment method. using nets and boats. The results showed that the two individuals showed different migration patterns both spatially and temporally. The individual with ID code 53 was recorded as having migrated for 79 days and the individual with ID code 55 was recorded as having migrated for 54 days to return to Botubarani beach, Gorontalo. Based on monitoring results, the two of them have different migration patterns but are still in the Tomini Bay waters. The results of this research have contributed to knowledge about the behavior of Whale Sharks (Rhincodon typus) in the waters of Tomini Bay which can be useful as a basis for future management
Species Composition of Phytonemato Distributed in Lavender (Lavandula) Plant
Get PDFThe article provides information about the phytonematodes found in the soil around the roots of the lavender (Lavandula) plant grown in the lavender plantation belonging to "Khisor Forestry", Sariosia District, Surkhandarya Region. As a result of the research, 35 species of phytonematodes were identified. In lavender (Lavandula), a large number of phytonematodes accumulate in the soil layers around the roots compared to the roots. Phytonematodes fauna is found at a depth of 0-10 cm. Plant roots in the soil layers of 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm and root girth were noted to differ in each soil layer, with the highest number of species and individuals recorded in the 10-20 cm soil layer
