The article explores the multifaceted nature of emigration, focusing on the experiences of Malayali migrants through the lens of Dr. Deepesh Karimpunkal’s memoir, ‘Marubhoomiyile Marujeevithangal’ (Life in the Desert). Emigration, historically rooted in the human condition, has evolved into a significant phenomenon driven by various factors such as economic opportunities, social advancement, and the pursuit of refuge. The concept of expatriation is examined alongside theories of migration, including E.J. Ravenstein’s Laws of Migration and Everett S. Lee’s Push and Pull Theory, which highlight the motivations behind individuals leaving their homelands. The narrative of Amanulla, the memoir’s protagonist, illustrates the emotional complexities of nostalgia and homesickness, emphasizing how memories of home shape the identity of migrants. The article underscores the role of literature in articulating the challenges and triumphs of the migrant experience, revealing the profound impact of human connection and friendship amidst displacement. Ultimately, it advocates for a greater understanding of migration’s significance in contemporary society and the resilience of individuals navigating the challenges of their journeys while maintaining ties to their cultural roots

The Circular Economy (CE) has emerged as a significant sustainable alternative to the conventional linear economic model, particularly in consumer electronics, which faces escalating challenges of e-waste due to rapid technological advancements. This study examines the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of youth in Lucknow, aged 18 to 26, towards CE principles in consumer electronics based on an exploratory survey design with a sample of 400 university students. This research utilises a self-developed structured questionnaire and incorporates quantitative analyses such as reliability, frequency, factor, and chi-square tests. The findings reveal that knowledge factors included awareness of circular economy concepts (44.5% variance) and local recycling processes. Attitudes were shaped by beliefs in product longevity and willingness to support recycling policies. Practices were influenced by eco-friendly disposal and regular repairs (68.7% variance). Demographics, particularly age, gender, and education, significantly impacted knowledge and attitudes, while university type showed no significant effect on practices. The results indicate that fostering an understanding of CE can shape positive attitudes and encourage responsible behaviours among youth, thus promoting more sustainable e-waste management and facilitating the shift toward CE. This research contributes to the current body of literature by emphasising the critical role of youth in shaping sustainable practices. It informs policymakers about the necessary strategies to effectively promote CE principles in Lucknow's consumer electronics sector for better environmental outcomes, ultimately benefiting consumers and the community

In the pavement towards development , MSME sector has proven to be a major contributor in India with contribution towards GDP being upto 30% and contribution to Indian export upto 48% which marks the significance of MSME. Despite being such a major contributor to uplift the economy it still needs impetus for meeting financial requirements of working capital for day to day business and long term loans for building capital assets. They also lack financial discipline of working effectively unlike large corporates giants because of which they are not able to work proficiently. Among MSMEs maximum are Micro sectors which are present more in remote areas and lack financial discipline leading to lower bank support and quick mortality of the unit. Hence research on key aspects financial discipline among MSMEs is very much relevant in today’s scenario. Popularization of organized working capital loans from Banks/FIs and lower dependency on unsecured loans from market and credit period from raw material providers is one of such aspects because of lower interest rates and better operating cycle assessments at bank prior to lending. Switching to higher business models also poses to be a solution of arranging internal capital funds to run the business to lower financial leverage position and dependency on external sources on the cost of higher pricing. Further other means like encouragement on minimum mandatory investments in MSMEs by FDI for entering Indian market may be a good option to encourage our indigenous MSMEs. Further, many MSMEs especially micro sectors are hesitant to contact banks for credit requirements and encouragement of “Business correspondent “ concept for popularizing and sanctioning MSME loans in rural areas may be encouraged as hiring BC who would be a person from the same local community who may educate the local people in their vernacular language there by better influencing small micro units like tailors, saree business, etc. to approach banks for liquidity requirements to run business . Moving towards Cash less economy by encouraging usage of more technological banking products is also a good solution to spread buyer market of MSM

India-Bhutan Strategic Relations- Issues and Consequences

Until recently Bhutan (Drukyul - Land of the Thunder Dragon) did not fit into the story of the global conquest of democracy. Not only the way it came into existence but also the mode in which it was interpreted made the process of democratization exceptional. As a landlocked country which is delimited on the north by Tibet in China and on the south by the Indian states Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, it was a right off the bat starter in the technique for state-building. Nonetheless, it seems that the last, reclusive Himalayan kingdom started a silent transition from an absolute to a constitutional monarchy by introducing parliamentary democratic elements. Initiated by the king rather than a revolutionary movement or a national catastrophe, this major step was unusual: a voluntary reallocation of power in the face of a notable indifference towards democracy by the people. A great political leap with mounting concerns and hopes not only among the ruling dynasty but surprisingly also among the common people of Bhutan
