This research examines the transformative landscape of the accounting profession influenced by digital transformation. The study rigorously analyzes the opportunities and challenges presented by integrating digital technologies. Anchored in the theoretical framework of "The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Accounting Profession," the research employs a mixed-methods approach to explore this dynamic landscape. Methodologically, structured surveys, in-depth interviews, and performance metrics analysis are used to capture a comprehensive view. The study distinguishes between independent variables, encompassing the implementation of digital technologies, and dependent variables, such as employee performance metrics, including productivity, job satisfaction, collaboration effectiveness, and skill acquisition. Preliminary findings suggest positive trends in productivity following digital transformation initiatives; however, challenges emerge, such as adaptation hurdles and potential drawbacks. The study identifies the importance of training programs and establishes a correlation between job satisfaction and proficiency with digital tools

Cryptocurrency Integration and Competitive Advantage: A Study of Contextual Factors of Payment Strategy Innovations in Nigeria’s E-Commerce Sector

This study examined how cryptocurrency integration shapes consumer trust, ease of use, and competitive advantage within Nigeria’s e-commerce sector. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Diffusion of Innovation theory, and the Resource-Based View (RBV), the research was motivated by the rising adoption of digital payments and the uncertainty surrounding whether crypto can genuinely strengthen competitiveness. A structured online questionnaire yielded 324 valid responses. Data were analysed using structural equation modelling in Amos. Findings revealed that cryptocurrency integration had a significant negative effect on consumer trust (-.148, p = .022) but a marginal positive effect on ease of use (.128, p = .070). No direct link was found between crypto integration and competitive advantage (-.015, p = .822). Importantly, consumer trust significantly mediated the link between crypto and competitive advantage (-.191, p = .012), whereas ease of use did not (.072, p = .270). These results highlight that trust, not technology alone, drives competitiveness in emerging markets. Recommendations include phased crypto rollouts, stronger security safeguards, and linking crypto use to customer rewards. The study expands knowledge by showing that perceived risks can outweigh usefulness, suggesting future research should explore cultural and regulatory factors shaping digital adoption within Nigeria’s e-commerce ecosystem

This study evaluates the Online Single Submission (OSS) Service Innovation Program implemented by the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) in Bantaeng Regency, Indonesia. The OSS program aims to streamline business licensing processes and improve service accessibility through digitalization. Using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model, this research assesses the program's effectiveness across key dimensions. The findings reveal that while the OSS program has successfully simplified licensing procedures, its impact is limited by users' lack of digital literacy. The DPMPTSP demonstrates commitment to affordability and transparency, but challenges persist in infrastructure, outreach, and capacity building. The evaluation highlights the need for targeted digital literacy programs, user support, and staff training to optimize service quality. Recommendations include upgrading technology, enhancing information transparency, and conducting regular user satisfaction surveys. By addressing these areas, the DPMPTSP can elevate the OSS program's effectiveness, foster a conducive business environment, and promote economic growth in the region. This study contributes to the broader discourse on e-governance and service innovation in developing economies, offering insights for policymakers and practitioners seeking to enhance public service delivery through digital transformation

Evaluating the Impact of Energy Mix and Digital Economy on Ecological Footprint in GCC: Fresh Insight from Panel ARDL Approach

This study examines the impact of economic growth, digitalization, and energy mix on the ecological footprint in the GCC region from 2000 to 2021. Using advanced econometric techniques, including Panel ARDL, AMG, and CCEMG estimations, the research explores both short-run and long-run dynamics while ensuring robust and valid results. Pre-estimation tests, such as Cross-Sectional Dependence (CSD) and panel unit root tests, confirm that variables are free from unit root problems but exhibit CSD, emphasizing economic interdependencies in the region. Panel cointegration tests reveal long-term equilibrium relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that economic growth, non-renewable energy consumption, and population significantly increase the ecological footprint, highlighting their role in driving environmental degradation. Conversely, renewable energy and digitalization significantly reduce the ecological footprint, showcasing their potential to support environmental sustainability. Validation through AMG and CCEMG methods confirms the robustness of the Panel ARDL results. This study contributes to the understanding of how economic and energy transitions interact with ecological outcomes in resource-rich economies. The results underline the critical need for policies promoting renewable energy, sustainable urbanization, and the integration of digital technologies to balance economic growth with environmental sustainability in the GCC region

This study explores the determinants of green entrepreneurship among Tunisian Eco-entrepreneurs. These determinants are approached from the angle of Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior (1991) through the factors of entrepreneurial attitude, subjective norms and perceived control of behavior. The research explores the reasons, which lead entrepreneurs to choose the ecological concept. A qualitative study was conducted via semi-structured interviews with a group of 22 eco-entrepreneurs. The study was based on voluntary respondents chosen by non-probability sampling. Thematic content analysis method was used to analyze the collected data and identify the main determinants. The results of this study revealed that green values are key determinant and explanatory of the favorable attitude towards green entrepreneurship. Contrary to the studies of traditional entrepreneurship in which the pressure of the social environment does not play a determining role and does not affect the decision to undertake in the green, whereas a strong feeling of perceived self-efficacy determines and encourages this direction. This study allows on a practical level through an understanding of attitude, subjective norms and perceived control of behavior, to understand what drives or hinders the orientation towards green entrepreneurship. Thus, the actors involved in entrepreneurship in Tunisia can better design programs and action plans to strengthen and increase commitment in this promising sector
