Labor Migration and Its Causes for Governance: Modeling the Intensity of Threat Impact through a Proposed Methodological Approach: The Example of Ukraine, Within the Periods Before and During COVID-19 and Military Operations
The conducted research is characterized by the originality and complexity of the approach due to the initial consideration of the phenomenon of labor migration from the position of one that has a global nature, significantly affects the dynamics of the world economy and increases in scale and is determined by a number of advantages and threats, and subsequently the generalizations made were used for mathematical modeling. It is proved that labor migration should be considered at least at two levels, that is, the state and each individual who is forced to participate in such processes under certain circumstances. It is specified that we are talking about a number of advantages, but also threats that arise and change due to the influence of key factors at each of the indicated levels. It is substantiated that it is the threats that require attention, the impact of which can become significant, and therefore harm the achievement of a positive effect. The modeling conducted on the basis of real data on Ukraine, which occupies a leading position among labor-exporting countries, over three time periods, i.e. before 2019, from 2019 to 2021, when COVID-19 dominated, and from 2022, as the beginning of a new phase of the military conflict with the Russian Federation, generally made it possible to track the change in the level of impact of threats associated with labor migration. The results obtained can serve as the necessary information basis for making changes in state policy not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries, as well as for each labor migrant to take action to reduce current threats
The Role of Foreign Shareholders in Online Financial Reporting: A Comparative Study of Malaysia and China
With the COVID-19 pandemic, using the Internet has become a must for businesses to communicate information to users. One of the main aims of online reporting is to serve users outside the geographic area. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the association between foreign ownership and the extent of online financial reporting in two developing countries, i.e., Malaysia and China. Foreign ownership is the independent variable and the extent of online financial reporting is the dependent variable, with two control variables, i.e., web presentation and type of industry, which includes six industries, namely industrial products, plantation, property & construction, technology, trading & services, and consumer products. This study uses the agency theory and signaling theory to support hypotheses arguments and results. The sample size of this study consists of 300 companies (150 companies from each country) and the data is collected from the websites of the selected companies. OLS regression in STATA software is used to analyze the data. The findings show that companies in Malaysia do not connect their online financial reporting to foreign shareholders as much as companies in China. Interestingly, the results show that web presentation is significantly associated with the extent of online reporting in Malaysia and China. Industrial products, trading & services, and consumer product companies are positively associated with the extent of online reporting in China, but not strongly significant in Malaysia. The results help regulators and other related parties to enhance the level of transparency amongst listed companies in both countries

Managing Ukraine’s Potential for Socio-Economic Recovery: Assessment of Challenges and Development Prospects
The article aims to assess the potential for socio-economic recovery of Ukraine and identify the reserves for its increase. The methodology is based on a system-structural approach using composite and recursive methods. The study includes data on Ukraine’s development potential by four groups (capital, labor, entrepreneurship, innovation) and markers of socio-economic recovery (gross domestic product, labor productivity, research expenditures, budget revenues, the ratio of income to the value of enterprise assets) for 2005-2023. The article reveals that the relationship between the total potential and Ukraine’s economic recovery is direct and short-term (a decrease in potential in 2007-2009, 2013-2014, and 2021-2023 by an average of 0.08 pp, 0.09 pp, and 0.8 pp, respectively, led to a decrease in the rate of socio-economic recovery by 900, and $1,400 per capita, respectively). The rate of recovery with a 1% increase in the country’s total potential is twice as fast as the rate of loss of resistance and decrease in potential. The results allow identifying areas of Ukraine’s potential growth: increasing human capital investment, curbing youth migration, developing virtual employment, creating a favorable investment environment, strengthening infrastructure investment, creating a startup ecosystem, encouraging business with tax incentives, supporting export-oriented enterprises, developing innovation clusters, and digitalizing the economy.

Augmented Reality in ELT Materials to Enhance Learner Engagement: Current Trends and Challenges
The development of English Language Teaching (ELT) materials has undergone significant transformation over the past three centuries. A paradigm shift has occurred in the way these materials are created. In the 19th century, textbooks primarily focused on grammar rules, vocabulary lists, and direct translation exercises. Over time, materials evolved to include simple dialogues and illustrations depicting real-life situations, followed by scripted dialogues, audio recordings, and pattern drills. Later, the incorporation of authentic texts, role-plays, and situational activities further enriched ELT resources. More recently, the emergence of Open Educational Resources (OERs), gamified learning apps, and, currently, AI, Augmented Reality (AR), and personalized learning tools has further reshaped the ELT materials. These
developments continue to transform how language is taught and learned. The present research focuses on the 21st century material development in ELT using Augmented Reality (AR). The study explored the latest developments in adopting and designing AR materials for immersive and virtual learning experience. It concentrated on the progressive role of some developing and developed nations like the USA, Australia, and the UK in adapting AR in the educational field.
