Contribution Des Différentes Espèces Ligneuses A La Séquestration Du Carbone Dans Le Parc National De Manda Dans La Province Du Moyen-Chari Au Tchad
La présente recherche a été conduite dans le Parc National de Manda (PNM), Province du Moyen-Chari au Tchad. L’objectif est d’estimer les quantités de carbone séquestrées par les différentes espèces ligneuses du PNM. Les données utilisées sont essentiellement issues d’inventaire forestier. Elles ont été collectées dans 100 placeaux rectangulaires de 50 m x 20 m. Le diamètre à hauteur de poitrine à 1,30 m au-dessus du sol et la hauteur totale des espèces ligneuses ont permis de quantifier la phytomasse, le carbone et le carbone atmosphérique correspondant à partir d’un certain nombre de modèles allométriques spécifiques. Des analyses de variances à un seuil de 5% suivi de la comparaison des moyennes par le test de Duncan ont été utilisées pour comparer les phytomasses, les carbones séquestrés et les carbones atmosphériques. L’analyse de variance entre les différentes espèces ligneuses montre clairement qu’il y a une très différence significative (P<0,001) entre la quantité de phytomasse, de carbone et stock de dioxyde de carbone atmosphérique. Anogeissus leiocarpa se démarque des autres espèces par sa production de phytomasse totale qui est de 108,90t/ha, sa séquestration de carbone (51,18tC/ha) et son stock de dioxyde de carbone (CO2) atmosphérique équivalent à 157,54 téqC02. Cette espèce est suivie de Prosopis africana (41,99t/ha, 19,74tC/ha et 72,43 téqC02) et de Terminalia laxiflora (21,18t/ha, 9,96tC/ha et 36,54 téqC02). Ces résultats confirment l’importance des espèces ligneuses dans la séquestration de carbone d’où la nécessité de leurs conservations à travers une gestion rationnelle
Articulation Under Pressure: Students’ Experiences in Enhancing Their English-Speaking Proficiency
Speaking anxiety is a significant challenge for students learning English, yet the underlying causes and coping strategies remain poorly understood - especially among first-year Bachelor of Secondary Education English majors. This qualitative study delves into the psychological barriers, external factors, and coping mechanisms that influence these students' speaking performance. Through one-on-one interviews conducted via Google Meet, the researchers used a phenomenological approach to gain a deep understanding of the students' lived experiences. Analyzing the data using Miles and Huberman's framework, several key themes emerged. The findings reveal that speaking anxiety often stems from a fear of being judged, pressure from the audience, and negative experiences in the past. This leads to issues like stuttering, difficulty articulating thoughts, and a lack of confidence. Despite the challenges, they employ various strategies to manage their anxiety, such as thorough preparation, self-affirmation, and seeking support from peers and mentors. This study underscores the importance of creating supportive environments and structured learning opportunities to reduce anxiety and foster growth among English language learners. By doing so, this study offers practical insights to enhance language teaching practices and empower students to become confident, proficient communicators in academic and professional settings
Vécu Quotidien Des Acteurs Dans La Pratique Des Soins De Maternité Respectueux A Kinshasa
cet article met en lumière les défis rencontrés dans la prestation des soins de maternité respectueux à l’Hôpital Général de Référence Mère-Enfant Barumbu. Malgré une prise de conscience partielle de l’importance de ces soins, des pratiques abusives et négligentes persistent. Les obstacles sont liés à des facteurs contextuels (comme le manque de ressources et d’infrastructures) et aux comportements des prestataires. Pour remédier à ces insuffisances et garantir des soins dignes et respectueux, des efforts doivent être faits, notamment par le biais de formations continues, d’une meilleure motivation des équipes et de la disponibilité des ressources nécessaires
A Meta-Synthesis on Gamification in High School Chemistry Education
Gamification, the integration of game design elements into non-game settings, has emerged as an innovative approach to enhance student engagement and learning in education. The influence of gamification on high school chemistry education was meta-synthesized from the 12 selected studies published between 2023 and 2025. Using the PRISMA 2020 flow diagram, the selected studies were screened from Google Scholar and Scopus databases. The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) checklist was utilized to finally screen the 12 studies. The transformative impact of gamification on students’ learning and engagement was identified as the meta-theme that emerged from the thematic analysis. Consequently, three themes emerged, namely, opportunities in utilizing gamification in teaching chemistry, challenges in implementing gamification in teaching chemistry, and strategies for effective implementation of gamification in teaching chemistry. Nine sub-themes were extracted from the overarching themes, as follows: elevated student motivation and enjoyment, enhanced learning and knowledge retention, development of the 21st century skills, teacher-related constraints, student-related difficulties, infrastructure and resource limitations, content-driven and aligned with the curriculum, storytelling and feedbacking, and integrating technology with the aid of emerging tools. These findings underscore the potential of gamification as a powerful pedagogical tool in high school chemistry education. It is recommended that targeted teacher training and the development of advanced digital infrastructure be provided to support the long-term sustainability of game-based environments
Method of Lines for Nonlinear Redaction-Diffusion Equations
Method of lines is used to solve nonlinear redaction-diffusion equations. The study focus three partial differential equations, Burger's Equation, Fisher's Equation and Burgers-Fisher Equation. This method is transforming the nonlinear partial differential equations to systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Some numerical examples are presented to show the efficiency of considered method and compared this method with a previous studies. In addition, the graphical represented the solutions, which had been given by MATLAB program.Keywords: finite differences approximations, method of lines, partial differential equations, Rung Kutta method
Implantation Et Calcul Du Canevas D’appui Pour Les Levers Routiers, En Utilisant Les Techniques GNSS : Cas D’un Réseau Topographique
Le calcul de réseau topographique est une démarche très capitale pour des levers routiers, qui demande du sérieux dans la définition de mode opératoire, au choix de l’instrumentation ainsi qu’au choix de procédé et méthode de calcul. Dans cet article, nous avons eu à implanter un canevas de 5 sommets dont le côté entre les bornes est d’au moins 1 Km. Ces bornes de dimensions 10 cm x 10 cm x 15 cm étaient construites en béton de ciment, dont les indications sur le numéro de la borne, le jour, mois et année de construction sont posées sur la surface supérieure de chaque borne.Les observations ont été enregistrées durant 4 h en mode statique en utilisant les antennes GNSS de la marque stonex S 990 +, les données brutes stockées dans la mémoire interne des récepteurs ont été téléchargées au bureau en utilisant le serveur de Stonex.Les fichiers téléchargés ont été utilisés pour calculer les coordonnées des bornes en faisant usage de logiciel Leica Infiniti, la qualité de coordonnées après calcul est de l’ordre de dixième de millimètre.Grâce au fichier géoïde, nous avons déterminé les altitudes ortho métriques de toutes les bornes, en se référant des valeurs des ondulations moyennes.Le logiciel Leica infiniti nous a permis de trouver les coordonnées des bornes en plusieurs formats, notamment en UTM 34 S, S1 (x = 653987,9205m, y = 9345711,5436 m et H = 601,1036 m) ; S2 (x = 653937,0250m, y = 9346689,1198 m et H = 614,8370 m) ; S3 ( x = 654060,1320 m, y = 9347677,0184 m et H = 628,2508 m) ; S4 ( x = 654130,2544m, y = 9350223,3677m et H = 603,7342 m) et S5 ( x = 652998,0700m ; y = 9352388,1381 m et H = 599,7591 m). Sur base des éléments récoltés sur terrain et des résultats de calcul au bureau, nous avons établi pour chaque borne une fiche descriptive
Identification Of Factors That Cause The Adoption Of Agricultural Innovations Resulting From University Research By Farmer Groups (Study Of Agricultural Research Results From Andalas University)
This study aims to: describe the adoption of agricultural innovations, and identify factors that cause the adoption of agricultural innovations resulting from research from Andalas University. This study was designed using a qualitative approach and a case study method. The research data was analyzed qualitatively. The study was conducted in various districts of Padang City, which have been Andalas University's research partners over the last ten years. The results of the study indicate that the adoption of agricultural innovations resulting from university research by the agricultural community was still far from satisfactory . This was indicated by the decision of most beneficiaries of innovation to implement unsustainable innovations and some did not implement innovations. The identified factors influencing this unsustainable adoption were the low intensity of assistance to the community targeted by the research results, the poor perception of the community towards the nature of the innovation introduced, the leadership of farmer groups and agricultural extension methods. To increase the adoption of agricultural innovations among the recipient community of agricultural innovations, it is recommended that universities collaborate with agricultural extension institutions in providing assistance, producing innovations by considering the characteristics of innovations, namely; relative advantage, complexity, compatibility, and observability as well as extension methods that are learning by doin
The optimization of 3D printed PLA/EPO/Lignin Biocomposite’s tensile strength using three different supervised learning applications
Developing a sustainable and biodegradable biocomposite for 3D printing necessitates iterative experimentation to achieve the desired composition and properties. Combining polylactic acid (PLA), epoxidized palm oil (EPO), and lignin offers a promising formulation for a 3D biocomposite filament with diverse potential applications. To optimize its performance specifically for 3D printing applications, the use of machine learning techniques can expedite the process of property optimization. Employing three distinct machine learning models, namely random forest (RF), support vector regression (SVR), and artificial neural network (ANN), facilitates a comparative analysis to determine the most effective approach for predicting the tensile strength values across different biocomposite compositions. Through model training and evaluation, the comparison reveals that both RF and SVR demonstrate superior accuracy compared to ANN. Notably, RF exhibits exceptional consistency, boasting an average R2 score of 0.9777 and an average mean squared error of 1.5475. SVR follows closely with an average R2 score of 0.9777 and an average mean squared error of 7.7751, while ANN lags behind with an average R2 score of 0.6551 and an average mean squared error of 117.5218. Assessing the performance of these machine learning models underscores their potential applicability in enhancing the production of biocomposite filaments for 3D printing, thereby facilitating the refinement of biocomposite properties
Analysis of the Influence of Exchange Rates, Interest Rates, and Inflation on Stock Price Index (Empirical Study on the LQ45 Index at the IDX 2019-2023)
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of exchange rates, interest rates, and inflation on the stock price index of empirical studies on the LQ45 Index. The research method used is quantitative using secondary data. The sample in this study was 60 samples from time series data in the period 2019 to 2023. Data analysis techniques used in this study include classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. Based on multiple linear analysis, it was found that Y = 1597.532 - 0.058X1 + 12.362X2 + 45.009X3 + e. From the results of the t-test conducted on the exchange rate and inflation variables, they partially have a significant effect on the LQ45 stock price index, while the interest rate variable partially does not have a significant effect on the LQ45 stock price index in 2019 2023. From the results of the F test conducted on the exchangerate, interest rate and inflation variables together or simultaneously have a significant effect on the LQ45 stock price index in 2019-2023. Based on the results of the determination coefficient, the exchange rate, interest rate, and inflation have an effect of 37.8%, and the remaining 62.2% is explained by other variables not included in this study, such as gross domestic product, economic growth, and company financial performance
Smart Home Energy Management Algorithm Considering Renewables Energies and Storage Resources
The efficient use of the incorporation of photovoltaic generation (PV) and solar panel with the Home Energy Management System (HEMS) can play a significant role in improving grid stability and economic benefit of the consumers.To reduce the peak load and electricity bill, was proposed a smart appliances control algorithm for the smart home energy management system (SHEMS) with integration of the renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage system (ESS).The proposed algorithm decreases the peak load and electricity bill by shifting starting times of shifted appliances from peak to off-peak periods.Therefore, an energy storage system (ESS) and backup battery storage system (BBSS) is also considered for stable and reliable power system operation. The aims of this is to reduce energy usages and monetary cost with an efficient home energy management scheme (HEMS).In this paper, a cost efficient power-sharing technique is developed which works based on priorities of appliances operating time
