    Fortified End-To-End Anonymity and Location Privacy Using IoT

    In WSN applications, data privacy itself, might not be as important as the privacy of source location. In addition to the source location privacy, sink location privacy should also be provided. Providing an efficient end-to-end privacy solution would be a challenging task to achieve due to the open nature of the WSN. The key schemes needed for end-to-end location privacy are anonymity, observability, capture likelihood, and safety period. We extend this work to allow for countermeasures against multi-local and global adversaries. We present a network model that is protected against a sophisticated threat model: passive /active and local/multi-local/global attacks. This work provides a solution for end-to-end anonymity and location privacy as well. We will introduce a framework called fortified anonymous communication (FAC) protocol for WSN

    Centers of coordination (CCs) are specific points where the mechanical forces converge in epimysial fascia to coordinate the movement of a joint in a specific plane of motion. It is known that the loose connective tissue between layers of fascia are rich in hyaluronan (HA), allowing normal gliding of the fascial layers. Densifications in the fascia are described as areas of increased concentration of HA molecules, causing a polymerization of the HA chains.  This entanglement of the HA chains causes a change in the consistency of the HA4, causing a restriction in the fascial gliding, leading to dysfunction and pain. Although previous studies used un-embalmed cadavers to study fascia, this study attempts to identify and examine the HA content in CCs and non-CCs using embalmed cadaver tissue

    Efficient And Robust Video Steganography Algorithms For Secure Data Communication

    Nowadays, the science of information hiding has gained tremendous significance due to advances in information and communication technology. The performance of any steganography method relies on the imperceptibility, embedding capacity, and robustness against attacks. This research provides solutions for the existing video steganography problems by proposing new and effective methods for digital video steganography. The key objectives of our paper are as follows: 1) a highly secure video steganography algorithm based on error correcting codes (ECC); 2) an increased payload video steganography algorithm in the discrete wavelet domain based on ECC; 3) a novel video steganography algorithm based on Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi (KLT) tracking and ECC; 4) a robust video steganography algorithm in the wavelet domain based on KLT tracking and ECC; and 5) a video steganography algorithm based on multiple object tracking and ECC. The experimental results from our research demonstrate that our proposed algorithms achieve higher embedding capacity as well as better imperceptibility of stego videos. Furthermore, the preprocessing stages increase the security and robustness of the proposed algorithms against attacks when compared to state-of-the-art steganographic methods

    Cradle of Islam and home to two holy mosques, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia bears political significance to China and spiritual importance to its Muslim population. Yet the Kingdom was one of a few major countries that chose to recognize Taipei until the twilight of the Cold War. Being the last Arab state to recognize the People’s Republic of China, Saudi Arabia represents a rare diplomatic case worthy of study. The Saudi’s strong and stable ties first with Taiwan—even decades after the latter was thrown out of the United Nations—and warming relationship with Beijing now have all to do with oil, but oil is by no means the only factor. The links tying Taiwan to the Saudi Kingdom were complex, geopolitics and anti-communist ideology among them. While the professed anticommunism bound Taiwan with Riyadh in the past, Saudi Arabia holding hands with the second largest economy no doubt shapes a new path for the world not limited in the energy sector. Both G20 members, Sino-Saudi bilateral political-military cooperation is also on the rise. The Saudi 2030 Vision and China’s One Belt One Road initiative may further cement the bond. Yet the obvious improvement of the Sino-Iranian relationship and Chinese support of the Syrian regime could negatively affect the Sino-Saudi rapport. This paper investigates the intricate relationships between the world’s largest oil exporter and the world’s most populous state, revealing the multi-level considerations of bilateral diplomacy. It also looks into the impact this relationship has on their allies and rivals

    Interaction Between Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase And Graphene Oxide And Its Impact On Cardiovascular Diseases

    Here we report possibly for the first time the computational understanding of the interactions between the nanomaterial Graphene Oxide (GO) and the enzyme Nuclear Diphosphate Kinase (NDPK) and its implications. Nanoscale Molecular Dynamics (NAMD) and Visual Molecular Dynamics (VMD) were used to run simulations and analyze the interactions between NDPK and GO. The simulations have run for 100 ns, and it is observed that GO is able to block the active site of the enzyme. Graphene oxide is being used because of its excellent biocompatibility, high water dispersibility, and large surface area. NDPK has numerous roles in the body, such as activating G-proteins and transferring a phosphate from ATP to GDP (resulting in ADP and GTP). It also plays a role in cell proliferation, development, signal transduction, endocytosis, etc[2]. Normally, increased activity of NDPK yields the synthesis of the second messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) . However, during heart failure, NDPK suppresses cAMP formation due to altered signal transduction pathways via G-proteins. In a healthy heart, nitric oxide (NO) is produced by the body in the endothelium that lines the walls of blood vessels so that the veins and arteries can dilate and blood can flow through the body. However, during heart failure, the endothelium lining is damaged, which inhibits the production of NO. cAMP signal transduction pathways have the potential to produce NO after the endothelium lining is in the process of being damaged . Therefore, when NDPK suppresses cAMP during heart failure, it in turn inhibits the production of nitric oxide— which is crucial for a healthy heart. Using NAMD simulations and analysis using VMD, it is observed that graphene oxide is attracted to the active site of NDPK. Strong interactive forces (van der Waals forces) exist between the primary residue of the active site of NDPK (histidine 118) and graphene oxide. Also, throughout the simulation, the structure of the enzyme is preserved. From the 100 ns worth of simulation, it is observed that the graphene oxide blocks the primary residue of the active site of NDPK and can therefore cease the enzyme’s function, lower the rate of reaction, and potentially affect heart failure

    Synthesis and Fabrication of Graphene Quantum Dots-Polypyrrole (GQDs-PPy) Nanocomposites in Bioengineering Applications as Supercapacitors and Fluorescent Probes

    Graphene quantum dots (GQDs), which are edge-bound nanometer-size graphene pieces, have fascinating optical and electronic properties. These GQDs fabricated by acid treatment and chemical exfoliation of pitch carbon-fibres and this produced GQDs have 1-4 nm in size with 2D morphology. The photoluminescence of the GQDs can be tailored through varying the size of the GQDs by changing the process parameters. Due to the luminescence stability, nanosecond lifetime, biocompatibility, low toxicity, and high water solubility, these GQDs are demonstrated to be excellent probes for high contrast bioimaging and biosensing applications. Here, we reporting the fabrication of free standing GQDs-PPy hybrid electrode films by electrochemical polymerization for supercapacitor device assembly. And also we reporting the bioconjugated quantum dots (QDs) provide a new class of biological labels for evaluating biomolecular signatures (biomarkers) on intact cells and tissue specimens. In particular, the use of multicolor QD probes in immunohistochemistry or cell biology studies of proteins and peptides is considered to be the most important and clinically relevant applications

    Statement of Problem: Whether it is acknowledged or not, all humans are obsessed with death. Since death is the one thing that is promised to all humans, it only makes sense to protect certain unalienable rights in death. Human rights should have no limit as to how far they stretch, so as long as one is a human being, alive or dead, one should receive rights. However, a deceased person does not require the same human rights as outlined on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Instead, deceased persons should simply have the right to not be mutilated or defiled. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a decree that most people can agree with and adopt. Everyone deserves the right to freedom and equality without being persecuted for claiming those rights. One issue with the UDHR is that there are no specific rights that are geared to the deceased. For obvious reason, the deceased do not need all of the same rights as alive persons, however, universal rights should also be established for the deceased. Just as the living have a right to security, the deceased should also have the right to be protected from mutilation. With no defined extension of human rights to the deceased, there is no way to ensure that dearly beloved deceased can continue an eternal slumber peacefully. Rights for the deceased are important because they give an indication of what people can expect once they have passed. Since there is no concrete evidence of what happens after death, at least people will have the comfort of knowing they will rest without any sort of mutilation being performed on their lifeless and uncontrolled bodies
