    Precision Agriculture under a bibliometric view

    Precision Agriculture comprises techniques to monitor and control the differentiated application of agricultural inputs, considering the variability of cultivation areas over time to increase productivity and maintain environmental sustainability. Its current form considers the use of high-tech equipment to ensure food safety in the future and, therefore, constantly seeks research that produces innovations for the sector. However, there is a tremendous challenge in evaluating scientific development, given the large volume of information. This study aimed to carry out a scientific mapping of Precision Agriculture from a set of bibliometric techniques supported using the R bibliometrix tool. Based on this objective, the research questions were formulated and answered throughout qualitative quantitative and descriptive exploratory study. The data processing resulted 5,807 articles (13,705 authors) obtained from 1993 to 2020. Among the main results, there is constant growth in the number of publications, especially between 2016 and 2020; more significant concentration among countries, forming well-defined collaboration subnetworks through their institutions; presence of expressive central themes in the research with a high density of studies, such as the use of remote sensing combined with machine learning techniques, due to the growing trend in the amount of processed data

    Hunger relief is one of the major needs during humanitarian emergencies. Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s (GMFB) is to address hunger, health, and quality of life by serving those in need throughout North Georgia. GMFB is invited to participate in this project by providing data on the “People in Need” program. GMFB provides the demographic and food picking up information for FY17 & FY18. The data are completely anonymous without any ethical concerns. GMFB would like to obtain a better understanding of the data through mathematics research and analytic study with this project

    Production, characterization and biological evaluation of nanocapsules containing tricresol formalin and their comparison with the free form

    Ethnopharmacological relevance: Tricresol formalin is composed of 90% formaldehyde and 10% cresols, highly volatile, has action at a distance, has been used in endodontics since the 20th century, and it remains widely used in Brazil in dental treatments, in necrotic teeth and with periapical lesions. However, there is still controversy regarding the biological compatibility under the conditions of clinical use of this drug, as the studies carried out on this substance and its components are not consistent with its clinical use. Formaldehyde is reported as a potential cytotoxic substance, because when in direct contact with cells it is responsible for a cytogenotoxic response, so an alternative to increase stability and ensure the safe administration of this compound in direct contact with cells would be nanoencapsulation. The use of nanomaterials provides numerous advantages, as the main interests are increased solubility and drug release control. Study objective: This study aimed to produce and characterize nanocapsules containing tricresol formalin as active, evaluating and comparing the in vitro cytotoxic effect of free and nanostructured forms.Materials and methods: a nanoparticle was produced, optimization of the preparation method and characterization of nanocapsules containing tricresol formalin. Were performed antimicrobiological tests, tests for cell viability through the tetrazolium method assay (MTT), free radical production, double strand DNA damage, and nitric oxide production. Results: The formulation used did not show toxic behavior against human peripheral blood mononuclear cells and showed a significant reduction in the toxicity of tricresol formalin in human fibroblast cells. The nanostructures showed values ​​similar to the free form for antimicrobial activity. The nanoparticles showed mean particle size of 192.3 ± 2.5 nm, PDI of 0.101 ± 0.013, zeta potencial of -17.7 ± 2.8 mV, and pH of 5.48 ± 0.3. Conclusion: Thus, it is evident that nanocapsules containing tricresol formalin can become a safer alternative for use within endodontics

    University Social Responsibility and The Control Mechanisms of The Ministry of Education from A Systemic View

    This article aims to analyze whether University Social Responsibilities - USR is regulated in the control mechanisms that inspect and allow the opening and continuity of a Higher Education Institution, making an analysis as to whether the MEC assessment instruments are efficient in the implementation of a socially responsible organizational culture, having as a reference the systemic view, which allows a macro analysis from the legal side. It is a qualitative research, where the documentation of the Higher Education legislation was analyzed, using techniques to understand the object of study in its entirety, but whose raw material is the legislation that deals with the evaluation systems and the Instruments for Assessment of Accreditation of an HEI and course. The importance of this research is due to the fact that it performs an analysis to find out how USR is inserted in the legislation, and that the absence of a clear and objective legislation, make the HEIs comply only with what is required by law, that is, the minimum , and in accordance with legislation

    Use of wood waste from Amazonian tree species for the manufacture of products with regional identity

    Based on the problem of the quantity of wood waste generated by the timber milling process in sawmills in the state of Amazonas and the possibility of manufacturing products using this material, the aim of this study was to develop a product with regional identity made from this wood waste. The research process involved analysis of cultural issues in the North Region of Brazil and the quantity and quality of wood waste present in the Wood Engineering and Artefacts Laboratory (LEAM/INPA). This wood was donated by the company Mil Madeireira, located in the municipality of Itacoatiara in the state of Amazonas. Assessment of the regional themes of northern Brazil found that animals are represented in many products. This is especially true for handicrafts, where artisans seek to represent animals typical of the region in carvings, paintings, sewing and other crafts. As a result, a mood board was created with images of the most popular animals in the North region. The product was developed from hand drawings and 3D modeling to check the relationship between the pieces. Later, a physical prototype was developed using sawmill waste from the species Peãozinho (Micrandropsis sclerorylum W. Rodr), Cardeiro (Scleronemoma micranthum) and Mandioqueira (Qualea paraenses), after their classification. Based on the quality and quantity of waste generated from milling, one of the proposed alternatives was a coffee table called Arara (Macaw). The coffee table consists of 5 (five) pieces: 4 (four) of wood and 1 (one) of glass. In search of satisfactory results, this idea arose based on two factors: the aesthetic and emotional appeal, and modularity. The product was generated from analysis of elements of the northern Brazilian regional identity and the classification of waste from milling of certified wood and forestry residues. It has been observed that much of the wood is discarded or is burned to generate energy. In addition to the amount of wood wasted, two other factors were also analyzed: the first is the possibility of generating value through the culture of the northern region, specifically that of the state of Amazonas, through the manufacturing of products, and the second is to leverage the production of the wood industry. The product is easy to construct and the process can be taught to third parties, since the technical details are presented so as to facilitate its large-scale production

    Inclusion, physical activity and quality of life for people with disabilities

    Several social spaces have been attended by people with disabilities. The universities include some of them, in this context we point out the Don Bosco Catholic University, in which through the University Extension Project Vida Nova, mainly serves people with spinal cord injuries with physical activities and resistance exercises. At the head of the project are coordinating teachers and students, with participation from the Physical Education and Nutrition courses. After the anamnesis, the training routines are elaborated, attending the requirements and limitations of each person. The objective is to present the work of adapted exercises carried out in the project with the members with physical disabilities. Seven individuals participate in the project in the morning, two of them female and five male, with ages between 24 and 61, an average of 44.85 years. Currently, the project serves around 15 people with physical disabilities, having the thera band as the most used means of adaptation. Future studies on the implementation of adapted gyms can be carried out, considering the interdisciplinary relevance of the theme, which in addition to involving courses in the health area, can cover other areas such as engineering and exacting for floor plan making and budgeting

    Entrepreneurship, intellectual property and innovation ecosystems

    This research aims to determine the relationship between entrepreneurship, intellectual property and innovation ecosystems at a global level. To assess the structural relationships between ecosystems, the unconditional quantile regressions using annual country data are estimated from two perspectives, namely: pooled data and data with fixed effects and time control. The Global Entrepreneurship Index (GEI), the US Chamber International IP Index (IPI) and the Global Innovation Index (GII) are used as a proxy for the entrepreneurship, intellectual property and innovation ecosystem, respectively. The results indicate that the entrepreneurship and intellectual property ecosystems has a causal relationship with the global innovation ecosystem. However, when control of individual and fixed time effects is included, the relationship between ecosystems is confirmed in just a few quantiles. The sterile results require efforts from public, private and other agents to improve the performance of ecosystems, especially to increase the generation of innovative assets. This study looks at ecosystems from a different perspective, and the results are relevant to policymakers looking to improve the ecosystems of entrepreneurship, intellectual property and innovation. The originality of this article lies in bringing together issues that are generally dealt with in theoretical and empirical literature in separate domains. The study of the relationship between ecosystems from global indexes remains a little explored field, despite the various alternative approaches already investigated

    This research aimed to approach Plano Nacional de Formação de Professores da Educação Básica (PARFOR1) and the challenges faced by teacher-students in the Pedagogy Undergraduate Course, Class 3, Capitão Poço, Campus of Bragança - Federal University of Pará/Brazil. In synergy, the study evolves from the two main issues: what are the challenges faced by the teacher-student of the Pedagogy Undergraduate Course between the years 2015 and 2019? and, To what extent, did these challenges affect (or not) the academic education process? The research methodology was characterized by a qualitative approach involving observation and participatory research, with the application of a semi structured questionnaire, answered by six teacher-students from the studied class. Data analyses approached the content of the informants\u27 narratives. Results revealed that the challenges faced, extended beyond the classroom context, methodological and evaluation processes handled by course professors, encompassing issues of family absence, financial limitations and political reverberations. The study evidenced situations involving employment bonds that greatly influenced academic and psychological performances of the teacher-students. As a conclusive evidence, we can affirm that challenges led to evasion of some teacher-students, but for the majority of the class, they became fuel for resilience and permanence until the end of the Course

    Inoculation with plant growth-promoting bacteria and reduction of nitrogen fertilizer in herbage accumulation and nutritional value of Mavuno grass

    Strategies that improve the use of nitrogen (N), by tropical forage grasses, can bring environmental and social gains. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the forage productivity and the nutritional value (NV) of the hybrid Urochloa spp. cv. ´Mavuno`, under inoculation with plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) and doses of N. The experiment was carried out in the field, for a period of 14 months, in a randomized block design, with nine treatments and four replications in plots of 9 m². Seed inoculations were tested with: Azospirillum brasilense Ab-V5 and Ab-V6 strains; Pseudomonas fluorescens CCTB 03 and co-inoculation with Rhizobium tropici CIAT 899 and A. brasilense Ab-V6, combined with 50 and 100 kg ha-1 of added mineral N; fertilization with N-mineral with these doses, without inoculation and the control treatment, without N and without inoculation. The bacteria were inoculated to the grass seeds. The forage was evaluated by determining the shoot dry weight yield (SDWY) and the levels of crude protein (CP), neutral detergent insoluble fiber (NDF), acid detergent insoluble fiber (ADF) and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD). The results were subjected to analysis of variance by the F test (p ≤ 0.05) and compared to each other by the Scott-Knott test at 5% probability. Inoculation with PGPB resulted in greater SDWY when associated with a dose of 50 kg ha-1 of N. In plants inoculated with A. brasilense Ab-V5 + Ab-V6 and P. fluorescens CCTB 03, associated with a dose of 50 kg ha-1 of N-mineral, SDWY was similar to that obtained with double the dose of N in the absence of inoculation. The inoculation with PGPB resulted in an increase in the NV of Mavuno grass, with emphasis on A. brasilense Ab-V5 + Ab-V6 and P. fluorescens CCTB 03, associated with the dose of 100 kg ha-1 of N-mineral that improved the nutritional value in all evaluated items. The inoculation with A. brasilense Ab-V5 + Ab-V6 was the most promising, followed by P. fluorescens CCTB 03, mainly in association with 50 kg ha-1 of N
