Innovation management and port governance: An approach to models and practices in the world

    No full text
The main objective of the research was to prospect the state of the art in the management of innovation and port governance in order to identify models and practices in the different ports around the world, through the international scientific bases Web of Science and Scopus, which allowed the exploratory study. More specifically, we sought to raise the level of development in the field of scientific production in the areas of innovation management and port governance. Scientometric methods were applied to prepare graphs that reflect the treatment of data and information generated from selected publications, as well as the search in the patent database of the National Institute of Industrial Property – INPI. In general, a gap in scientific production related to the researched field of knowledge was evidenced, which may be associated with the low level of port innovations which, therefore, may also reverberate in the search for patent protection. Thus, it is recommended that scientific productions be encouraged to support innovations in the port sector, in addition to incremental innovations, playing a prominent role in the collaborative action of agents in the port cluster and scientific, technological and innovation institutions (ICTs)

    No full text
This study aims to elucidate the human approach to development, in particular from the Human Scale Development theory, and to investigate the positive effects arising from the relationship between humans and animals in order to combine them with human development. The theory of Human Scale Development presented itself as a paradigm shift by advocating the protagonism of the human being during the development process. The natural and intuitive bond formed between people and their pets started to intrigue researchers around the world, giving rise to a series of scientific evidence that point to beneficial effects of this relationship. Pets have been found to have the ability to contribute in many ways to the well-being of their guardians. This article is part of the dissertation entitled “The interfaces of the relationship between human beings and pets from the perspective of human development”, presented to the Postgraduate Program in Local Development at Universidade Católica Dom Bosco. The research has a qualitative approach, which employs the inductive method and, as to the objectives, it is an exploratory research combined with a literature review and document analysis. In conclusion, the bond between humans and pets can represent a human development factor

    No full text
The narratives about the development of the territory that comprises Itamatatiua are imprecise, as the historical data contrasts with the oral reports. Nevertheless, it is clear, both in the memory of the community and in the historical documentation, the direct link of this village with the Order do Carmelite (Carmelite Order), which had several projects in Alcântara, such as farms, potteries, salt pans, first hospitals for people with mental disorders, convent and church. The approach adopted in this article focuses on the religiosity present in the formation of the quilombola community in Itamatatiua, located in Alcântara/Maranhão. In the methodological track, field research was used, conducted in the place where people live and socialize, with due survey through data collection and an inductive method (descriptive accumulation in detail)

Visitation rights of adolescents in the provisional and sentenced female unit in Porto Velho/RO

    No full text
Article 124 of the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) of Brazil requires that adolescents in a socio-educational measure must remain hospitalized in their city of residence or the city closest to the home of their parents or guardians. In the Rondônia state, the socio-educational steps of internment are the responsibility of the State Foundation for Socio-Educational Assistance (FEASE). Thus, when a female adolescent commits an infraction in the municipalities of the interior of Rondônia, she must be referred to comply with the socio-educational measure of internment in the capital Porto Velho, Brazil. However, the right to visit these adolescents is impaired since many family members do not have the socioeconomic conditions to pay for transportation and accommodation. Based on this assumption, this research aims to analyze and discuss the rights of female adolescents who are serving socio-educational measures in Porto Velho concerning the right to visit. With a qualitative approach, the methodology consists of conducting interviews at the Female Socio-Educational Unit of Porto Velho/RO. The results show a failure on the socio-educational measure execution from the agency and, consequently, the violation of the human rights of these adolescents

    No full text
This article aims to analyze the accessibility of people with disabilities and reduced mobility, running through urban mobility problems. The aim is to evidence the necessity of popular participation, through researches, in the development of public policies, in order to effect accessibility. This will provide an improvement in the general population mobility, making the city more inclusive for everyone, exerting the social function of the state. According to 2010 IBGE Census, almost forty-six million brazilians (about 24% of the population) declared they have some difficulty in, at least, one of the skills investigated (seeing, listening, walking or climbing steps), or that they have mental/intellectual disabilities, thus demonstrating the importance of the mattering subject. Therefore, in the present article, initially, is shown the concept of accessibility as a fundamental right, its normative evidence, and on urban mobility and its aspects in urban centers. In sequence, it is addressed the need to create a model to evaluate the accessibility conditions of urban facilities in the city of Salvador, using the “Map of Key Activities” (MKA) and georeferencing systems, also demonstrating the importance of georeferencing concepts and the analysis and developing of metadata based on the existing accessibility standards. Accordingly, it shows the need for this study to generate a change in specific public policies to ensure accessibility and universal access of the population to bus stops

    No full text
During the COVID-19 pandemic, schools offered what became known as emergency remote teaching. However, teachers, students, school leaders, and parents were naturally unprepared to teach and study at a distance. This article aims to evaluate the support offered to students during the pandemic in a school in the city of São Paulo (Brazil). A mixed-approach case study used as a theoretical reference DigCompOrg, a framework for assessing digital competence developed by the European Commission. Teachers, school leaders, and students answered a DigCompOrg-based questionnaire (SELFIE), some of which were selected to participate in interviews and focus groups. The research also involved documents analysis and participant observation. The results indicated that the school offered adequate support to students, parents, and teachers. However, some challenges were identified, such as communication with families, timely feedback, assessment at a distance, and plagiarism. The research results may enhance the development of a plan to improve student support in the school

    No full text
The present production presents the development of Cognitive Analysis through the application of the Cognitive Analysis by Telematic Mediation methodology - ANCOMT (SALES, 2020) in a situation of technologically mediated interactions in the field of Law. The objective of this work is to analyze the popular expression of thought in an open session of the Federal Supreme Court (FSC) dated 08/31/2021, seeking to contribute to the identification of the ways of popular interaction that are configured from the online transmissions of open sessions of the Courts of Justice, also contributing to the strengthening of the field of Cognitive Analysis. This is an interdisciplinary, qualitative approach, which begins with a literature review, then a theoretical-conceptual discussion, proceeding with the presentation of Cognitive Analysis itself, with the ANCOMT methodology.  It is concluded by the pertinence and potential of Cognitive Analysis as a methodological path for the understanding of popular interactions in telematic mediation platforms in different sectors of society, including the field of Law. As a result of the analysis developed, it was identified that in the analyzed environment, completely open to free participation and popular expression without any mediation, there is practically no dialogue and collective construction, characterized by individualized expressions of preconceptions and the exercise of rabid militancy. However, it defends the importance of the maintenance and expansion of these spaces for the transparency promotion and dissemination of content of public interest, inferring the possibility for the evolution of these interactions to more collaborative forms from the opportunities of participation by the subjects

The use of modelling to determine the limiting conditions for resuming soil loading by tractor in an area of sugar cane under reduced tillage

    No full text
The marked growth of the sugar and alcohol sector has promoted an increase in the fleet of heavy agricultural vehicles to meet the demand for commodities; however, the intense traffic of machines in areas of insufficient soil moisture has resulted in compaction, compromising the productivity of the sugar cane. In order to determine the optimal conditions for resuming the use of tractors under a reduced tillage system, the bearing capacity was evaluated and stress distribution was modelled in a dystroferric Red Latosol cultivated with sugar cane. Soil sampling was carried out during the first ratoon crop at 120 days, using metallic cylinders installed at a depth of 0.05 m in the crop rows and 0.15 m between rows. The samples were submitted to the uniaxial compression test to determine the preconsolidation pressure of the soil. The reduced tillage gave the lowest bearing capacity at the soil surface (0.05 m), while the highest values were found at a depth of 0.15 m. The bearing capacity proved to be an efficient indicator for analysing the structural degradation of the soil by demonstrating the compressibility of the various layers and sampling positions resulting from reduced tillage and the impact of agricultural machines in the field. The prediction model for traction and soil stress distribution that was employed was able to predict the optimal performance of the tractor, and provide stress data that would allow a study of the limiting water content for the traffic of agricultural tyre tractors

Objective: To evaluate the insertion of the Copper IUD (TCu 380A) in young women, side effects and users\u27 degree of satisfaction with the method. The research site is the municipal public maternity hospital of Porto Velho, located in the state of Rondônia, in the Brazilian Amazon. Methodology: Standardized questionnaire with the following variables: Identification and address; Weight; PA; Consultation: Puerperal (3) months, (6) months, (9) months, (others); Pathological antecedents; Obstetric History: Gesta, Pará, Abt; Date of IUD insertion; Delivery type; Side Effects: (Pelvic pain), (Dysmenorrhea), (Dyspaurenia), (Hypermenorrhea), (Metrorrhea), (Anamia), (Other); Ultrasonography: Conduct. Results: In the year 2021, 1,463 parturients aged 15 to 25 years were seen at the maternity hospital, of these 982 (67.12%) had vaginal deliveries and 481 (32.88%) had cesarean deliveries). Of the 982 women who had vaginal deliveries, 312 (31.77%) underwent IUD insertion in the immediate postpartum (postplacental) period. Of the 982 women in the age group who had cesarean deliveries, 161 (33.47%) opted for IUD insertion after placental delivery. From the ultrasound examinations, it was observed that the IUDs were poorly positioned in 114 (11.60%) of those inserted in the vaginal puerperium and in 19 (4.57%) of those inserted by cesarean section after placental delivery. The main side effect in the first days of use, still in the puerperium, was pelvic pain in 20.36% of all IUDs inserted postpartum (vaginal and cesarean), in the third month the most common complaint was dysmenorrhea in 24 .47%. In the sixth month of use, dysmenorrhea (22%) was predominant, followed by hypermenorrhea (19.75%), and after the sixth month of use, dysmenorrhea (12.30%) was followed by hypermenorrhea (10.66%) as the most reported complaints. Conclusion: In regions such as the Brazilian Amazon, with high rates of unintended pregnancy in young women and consequently with complications of short interpregnancy intervals, long-term contraceptive methods (LARCs) offered in the puerperium are an option to be considered to reduce maternal mortality due to pregnancy

Importance of Early Recognition of Arterial Hypertension in Children and Adolescents: The Nursing Function in Ambulatory Monitoring

    Get PDF
Arterial hypertension is considered an epidemic, remaining as the main cause of death and global disability. As high blood pressure in childhood is highly predictive of high blood pressure in adulthood, there has been a growing interest in the early recognition of this condition in the pediatric population, through outpatient screening in children over three years of age. Objective: to emphasize the importance of routine monitoring of blood pressure measurement in children and adolescents in childcare consultations. Methodology: This is a literature review of published articles, searched through the PubMed, Virtual Health Library and Google Scholar databases. Results: 12 scientific articles were selected as the data source for the present study, seven in English and five in Portuguese. Conclusion: the measurement of blood pressure in all consultations with children is important. If the disease is identified, treatment must be instituted, which will vary between non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies, which should be introduced for all pediatric patients with blood pressure values above the acceptable percentile for age. In this sense, it is pertinent that nurses acquire and develop skills that make it possible to implement strategies for the prevention of hypertension, as well as the early identification of children and adolescents at risk of arterial hypertension
