Analyzing Pedagogical Routines in the Upper Secondary School Teacher’s Discourse Using the Commognitive Aproach
In this work, we investigated through a case study the pedagogical discourse of the upper secondary school teacher when introducing the derivative concept. The subject was selected considering her experience and expertise in the field of mathematics education. Eleven class sessions were audio and video recorded, and three of them were transcribed verbatim for analysis. The theoretical framework used in the analysis was the sociocultural theory of commognition (Sfard, 2008). Specifically, we focused on identifying one of the properties of discourse, routines, which are repetitive patterns that can be inferred by observing the rest of the properties (i.e., word use, visual mediators, and narratives). Thus, some subtypes of explanation and motivation routines that complement those appearing in the work by Viirman (2015) were identified and classified: exemplification, use of personified language, use of paraphrases and synonyms, promotion of autonomy in learning, variation, outline, location, linking concepts and reference to difficulty. Likewise, we distinguished among them which are more typical of the transition stage to university than of previous courses and vice versa, as well as which of them can be used by teachers to help students to be successful in their transition to university
Managerial Preparation in Context of Learning Styles Preferences of Future Managers
Currently is necessary to identify own way of cognition and information processing, so called the cognitive style, which is connected with learning style. Contribution contains theoretical information about many typologies of learning styles (e.g.. according to brain hemispheres dominance, intelligence, learning motivation, etc.) and research is focused on typlogy of D. A. Kolb (divergator, assimilator, convergator and accomodator). Aim of the research is to analyze preference of learning styles of future managers, to identify correlations between learning styles preference and chosen features of future managers, advantages and disadvantages. of distance education and to suggest some possibilities of learning styles development by methods of creativity development. In contribution is used interrogative method by standardized Kolb's questionnaire, mathematical-statistical methods (descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, χ2- test) and comparative method. The research sample is composed of 296 future managers, the dominant learning style is accomodator in number of 109 (36,82 %). Contribution contains 3 hypotheses. Statistically significant correlation was explored between learning style and perception of distance education disadvantages, between learning style and professional orientation and between learning style and self-evaluation of future managers. Benefit of the contribution are suggestions for creativity development methods application for these learning styles

Implementation of Communicative Language Teaching: Cambodian EFL Teachers’ Attitudes toward Communicative Language Teaching
The aim of the present study was to examine the role of teachers’ attitudes and beliefs in the implementation of communicative language teaching (CLT) in Cambodian universities. It has repeatedly been demonstrated in past research to teach English for socio-economic, socio-cultural, and other pragmatic purposes in Cambodia. This research explored teachers’ attitudes and beliefs toward the implementation of CLT using quantitative methodology. This research was carried out at public and private universities offering the undergraduate program in TESOL/TEFL. The data was collected from 358 teachers who were working in public and private universities. The results of the study showed that teachers’ attitudes and beliefs are significantly related to the behaviours in the implementation of CLT in Cambodian universities. The findings concluded that teachers’ attitudes and beliefs in managing their instructional practices have significant role in implementing CLT. In order to successfully implement CLT, they need to determine their individual attitudes, beliefs and behaviours. The current study is one of its own kind. To the best of the current study’s author’s knowledge, no such study has been conducted before
The Effect of E-Learning Based on the Problem-Based Learning Model on Students' Creative Thinking Skills During the Covid-19 Pandemic
This study aims to analyze the effect of e-learning based on the problem-based learning (PBL) model on students' creative thinking skills during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted using quasi-experimental design and pretest post-test control group design, which was conducted at As-Shofa Islamic Senior High School, Pekanbaru, Indonesia class XII Science. The research used random sampling techniques. The parameter of this research was the skill to think creatively with four indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data were gathered through the use of a creative thinking test in the form of a multiple-choice consisting of 20 items. The data of Min, Nmax, Nmin, Sd, and the effectiveness of creative thinking were calculated with the interpretation of the N-gain index (g). The results showed that the post-test average score of students' creative thinking skills in the experimental class using the PBL model through e-learning was higher than the control class without the PBL model, and the N-gain of the experimental class was higher than the control class. In conclusion, the PBL learning model through e-learning during COVID-19 pandemic affects students' creative thinking skills and was more effective, especially the original thinking and elaborate thinking skills when compared to learning without the PBL model
Profiles, Differences, and Roles of Learners’ Agency in English Learning in Thailand
Human agency theory has been known for more than two decades, but the applications in EFL learning are still insufficiently researched and the roles in enhancing English proficiency are still little explored. This study, thus, examined learners’ agency in English learning and investigated the role in English proficiency. Using a quantitative research design, it collected data from 13 nonEnglish disciplines of schools at a university in the south of Thailand. The total number of participants was 389 undergraduate students (22.4% male; 76.9% female; .8% prefer not to say) involving 43.4% 2nd and 56.6% 1st-year students with levels of proficiency ranging from A1 to B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The data were analysed by using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, bivariate correlation, multiple linear regression, and mediation analysis. The results indicated a higher level of learners’ agency for learning with some variations by year of study and proficiency level. Thai EFL learners’ agency for learning had predictive roles on their proficiency, yet no potential mediators were observe
