European Union Survey of Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC), 2005
The Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) in Ireland is a household survey covering a broad range of issues in relation to income and living conditions. It is the official source of data on household and individual income and also provides a number of key national poverty indicators, such as the ‘at risk of poverty’ rate, the consistent poverty rate and rates of enforced deprivation. The primary focus of the Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) is the collection of information on the income and living conditions of different types of households in Ireland, in order to derive indicators on poverty, deprivation and social exclusion. It is a voluntary survey of private households. The SILC Anonymised Microdata File (AMF) contains both personal and household level data. Household data is at present duplicated for each member of the household. If performing household level analysis, please be aware of this and subset the data to include a single entry per household (interview_hh = 1). Please note: In 2020 AMF was revised to be more in line with the SILC RMF. Variables were renamed in accordance with Eurostats Doc65, which provides methodological guidelines and description of EU-SILC target variables. The target variables within the AMF are data on household and individual income as well as a number of key national poverty indicators, therefore variables identified as being not relevant to SILC were removed from the AMF. Furthermore, additional statistical disclosure controls were also implemented in the revisions so as to adhere to updates of the Legislation, Governance & Data Policies of the CSO. Please note: SILC AMF data is cross-sectional microdata in which household and/or individuals cannot be tracked over time. The household id variables in each cross sectional file are randomly generated and cannot be linked between yearly datasets
Growing Up in Ireland - COVID-19 Web Survey for Cohort '08 (Infant Cohort) and Cohort '98 (Child Cohort) December, 2020
Growing Up in Ireland - the National Longitudinal Study of Children is a landmark study of children and youth which has been running since 2006. The project seeks to further our understanding of what it means to be a child or young person growing up in modern Ireland, with a view to informing policy on what both helps and hinders development. The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) requested that the Growing Up in Ireland Study Team develop a survey capturing the experiences of the Growing Up in Ireland Cohorts during the pandemic in 2020 with a view to informing longitudinal analysis of the impact of variations in their experiences on young people’s outcomes. The web survey was hosted by the Central Statistics Office. The sample for the Covid-19 Survey was drawn from both Growing Up in Ireland Cohorts. It consisted of all of those who had participated in the first wave of the study and who were still eligible for contact

As digitalization and automation technologies advance, everyday devices, such as home automation systems and appliances, are gaining new functions and becoming more complex. However, acquiring the necessary operating knowledge can be challenging, turning the use of these devices into a problem. The data presented here comes from a project that aimed to quantify differences in individual behavior and performance when using digital home automation systems and appliances. The project investigated the conditions and prerequisites for competent technology use based on observed behavior and various forms of learning how to operate devices and generate personal knowledge. Key project outputs include the further development and empirical examination of a theoretical model of technical problem solving (TPS). Another output was the advancement of a computer-based test for assessing TPS. Two empirical studies were conducted as part of the project: the calibration study and the main study. The calibration study was the first empirical test of the TPS test, while the main study investigated the relationships between TPS test performance and sociodemographic, (meta-)cognitive, and motivational variables in greater depth. The TPS test is published via the repositories of the Research Data Education Network (VerbundFDB).Durch Weiterentwicklungen von Digitalisierungs- und Automatisierungstechnologien erhalten alltagstechnische Geräte zunehmend neue Funktionen und werden komplexer. Levels of Curation, Appraisal, Digital Preservation and Reuse in Successful CoreTrustSeal Applications 2017-2023
CoreTrustSeal (https://www.coretrustseal.org) is an international non-profit organization offering a certification procedure for trustworthy digital repositories since 2017. To obtain certification, repositories complete an application via an online tool in which they provide background information about the repository as well as responses to the 16 CoreTrustSeal Requirements. The successful applications are published in PDF documents whose structure and layout changed over time as the tool used to create them evolved. While the PDF format ensures that the published information remains fixed and stable, it also means that processing and analyzing the candidates’ responses other than intellectually is very difficult as they are largely unstructured text locked in PDFs. Therefore, tracking developments in the responses over time and across Requirements versions is difficult. To address this issue, continuing and expanding previous work by Lindlar and Rudnik, this dataset codes information from the responses that all successful CoreTrustSeal applicants between 2017-2023 provided to the requirements dealing with Appraisal, Preservation Plan, and Data Reuse. In addition, provided background information (Repository type and Level of Curation) were coded. Finally, all URLs provided in the responses to the mentioned requirements were checked using a Python script to determine the extent of evidence no longer accessible due to link rot.CoreTrustSeal (https://www.coretrustseal.org) is an international non-profit organization offering a certification procedure for trustworthy digital repositories since 2017.
Klöckner, Christian A. (2013): A comprehensive model of the psychology of environmental behaviour — A meta-analysis. International Reproduction Policy Database (IRPD)
The International Reproduction Policy Database (IRPD) provides a novel approach to measure policies that directly regulate human reproduction. Reproduction policy is an often neglected domain of state intervention in comparative research, and a comprehensive quantitative database has so far been lacking. IRPD contains multiple indicators in each of five regulatory fields: abortion, contraception, medically assisted reproduction, pregnancy care and sex education. We measure national-level formal regulations for each year between 1980-2020. The database allows to address a wide-range of research questions across various social science disciplines. The International Reproduction Policy Database (IRPD) provides a novel approach to measure policies that directly regulate human reproduction.
