Gallup Ecclesiastica 2019
Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin, kuinka tärkeiksi he kokivat erinäiset syyt auttaa muita. Heitä pyydettiin arvioimaan, kuinka paljon rahaa he olivat lahjoittaneet hyväntekeväisyyteen kuluneen vuoden aikana. Työn merkitykseen liittyen kysyttiin, kokivatko vastaajat saavansa auttaa työssään muita ihmisiä ja missä määrin oma työ tuntui elämäntehtävältä tai kutsumukselta. Seuraavat kysymykset liittyivät sunnuntain ja pyhäpäivien viettoon. Vastaajilta kysyttiin, millaiset asiat kuuluvat heidän tavallisen sunnuntainsa viettoon. Edelleen kysyttiin, kuinka usein he harjoittivat arjessaan erilaisia henkisyyden muotoja, kuten rukoilua, joogaa tai Raamatun lukemista. Kysely jatkui lapsuuteen ja perheeseen liittyvillä kysymyksillä. Vastaajilta kysyttiin, millaisia hengellisyyteen liittyviä asioita heidän lapsuudenkodissaan oli harjoitettu ja millaisia hengellisyyteen liittyviä asioita vastaajat olivat omien lastensa kanssa tehneet. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin näkemyksiä, miten tärkeitä erilaisten uskontoon liittyvien tapojen siirtyminen seuraaville sukupolville on. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin, olivatko vastaajat eronneet jossain vaiheessa evankelis-luterilaisesta kirkosta ja mitkä tekijät päätökseen olivat vaikuttaneet. Lisäksi kartoitettiin tärkeitä syitä kuulua kirkkoon. Lopuksi esitettiin kysymyksiä liittyen ajankohtaisiin yhteiskunnallisiin asioihin, kuten ilmastonmuutokseen ja tasa-arvoon. Kysymyksillä pyrittiin selvittämään vastaajien mielipiteitä sekä näkemyksiä liittyen kirkon rooliin tasa-arvotyössä ja ilmastonmuutoksen torjunnassa. Taustamuuttujia aineistossa ovat ikä, sukupuoli, koulutus, ammatti, talouden koko, talouden bruttotulot, asunnon tyyppi, suuralue, talouden elinvaihe ja puoluekanta vuoden 2019 eduskuntavaaleissa. The survey studied religiosity and church membership in Finland as well as people's participation in parish activities. Questions also charted personal faith, spiritual matters, attitudes towards religious communities, and family. The respondents were first asked about helping others, donating money to charity, and the meaning of their own work. Questions surveyed why the respondents helped other people (e.g. they felt it was their duty as a citizen or a Christian, they felt good when helping others), how much money the respondents had donated to charity in the past year, and whether the respondents thought it was important that they could help and serve others in their work. The next questions focused on how the respondents spent Sundays and holidays. The respondents were asked, for example, whether they usually went to worship service on Sundays, ate a more festive meal, cooked, or cleaned. The respondents' Easter and Christmas celebrations were also examined with questions on whether they fasted or participated in a worship service on Easter and whether they visited graves or read the Christmas Gospel on Christmas. Further questions focused on fasting and the meaning of fasting to the respondents as well as the respondents' views on the importance of religious ceremonies in connection to big life events (e.g. when a child is born, marriage). Religion and worldviews were surveyed next with questions related to different religions and their teachings, spiritual matters, the existence of God, and the firmness of the respondents' belief in a number of religious tenets and phenomena (e.g. a good God, angels, the Devil). The respondents' personal spirituality was charted with questions on how often they prayed, read the Bible, watched or listened to religious programmes on TV or radio, and visited websites related to religion. The respondents were asked which books (excluding sacred books of religions), songs and spiritual influencers had the most significance for them spiritually. The respondents' religious and supernatural experiences, such as God answering their prayers or foreseeing a future event, were also surveyed. Religious traditions, family and childhood were surveyed next. The respondents were asked to choose which statements about religion and religious activities they thought described their childhood home and whether they had taught or would teach their children a bedtime prayer. Questions also charted how important the respondents thought it was to pass on various religious traditions, such as baptism, attending worship service, and celebrating Christmas as the birthday of Jesus Christ, to future generations. Attitudes towards the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland were also surveyed. The respondents were asked whether people close to them viewed the church with a more positive or negative attitude, what they thought the church's role was in mitigating climate change, and whether the church should support same-sex marriage. Next, membership of a church or other religious community was examined. Those who were members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland were asked about the importance of a number of reasons for Church membership as well as whether they had considered quitting the Church. Those who were not members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church were asked whether they had previously quit the Church and what their reasons for quitting had been. Attitudes towards Finnish identity and different groups of people were also surveyed. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's age, gender, level of education, occupation, household size, household income, type of housing, NUTS2 region of residence, household composition, and political party preference in the 2019 parliamentary elections
GESIS Panel.pop Population Sample – Standard Edition
The GESIS Panel provides a probability-based mixed-mode access panel infrastructure located at GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Mannheim, Germany. The project offers the social science community an opportunity to collect survey data from a representative sample of the German population. Submitted study proposals are evaluated based on a scientific review process. Panel members were initially recruited in 2013 in face-to-face interviews followed by a self-administered profile survey. The mode was chosen by the participants. All participants of the profile survey are considered as members of the panel and invited to the bi-monthly regular waves. The starting cohort encompassed 4900 panelists at the beginning of 2014. In order to compensate for panel attrition, a refreshment sample was drawn in 2016, using the General Social Survey (ALLBUS) interview as vehicle. The initial cohort encompasses German speaking respondents aged between 18 and 70 years (at the time of recruitment) and permanently residing in Germany, whereas the second cohort includes respondents from the age of 18 without upper restriction. In 2018 a third recruitment sample was drawn, which was integrated with the wave ge. The third cohort also includes respondents aged 18 and over without an upper limit. Retroactively, cases up to and including wave fc (third wave from 2018) were added to the data. The Data Manual (ZA5664-65_sd_data-manual) has been reissued and there is a corresponding recruitment report (ZA5664-65_mb_recruitment2018). The ALLBUS Sample is based on a disproportional sampling of respondents from the western and eastern part of Germany. A design weight that enables integration of the two recruitment cohorts is included into the dataset. For more details, please see the methods reports of the recruitment processes and die GESIS Panel reference paper (Bosnjak et al., 2017). In March 2020, a special GESIS panel survey was conducted on the SARS-CoV-2 resp. COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak in Germany. In 2021, the fourth recruitment sample was drawn using the German International Social Survey Programme (ISSP), which was integrated with wave ja. The fourth cohort also includes respondents aged 18 and older with no upper limit. For more information, see the corresponding recruitment report (ZA5664-65_r_i12.pdf). In 2023, the fifth recruitment sample was drawn using the German European Social Survey (ESS Round 11), which was integrated with the wave la. The fifth cohort includes respondents aged 18 and over with no upper limit. For more information, see the corresponding recruitment report (ZA5664-65_r_k12.pdf). Interprofessional collaboration regarding prenatal home-visits
Not all infants have an optimal start in live, for example because their parents live under challenging circumstances. A prenatal home-visit could signal these problems and provide opportunities to improve these circumstances or diminish their impact. With the intention to improve the circumstances in which an infant is born. For this prenatal home-visit, multiple professionals and organizations have to collaborate with each other and the family. This action-research investigated the benefits and barriers, as well as the needs of professionals and families regarding this home-visit. We collected data based on literature, interviews with families and professionals, questionnaires, and observations. Furthermore, a team was put together with individuals from the medical (birth-related) field, the social domain and families. This team met several times during the study to brainstorm about possible improvements, to experiment with these suggestions and to evaluate their effect. In this manner, the collaboration between multiple professionals and families regarding the prenatal home-visit was improved in an ongoing process
Speelvriendelijke steden
Assessing Prolonged Grief Symptoms Using Experience Sampling Methodology: The Development of the Prolonged Grief Symptoms - Short Ecological Assessment (PGS-SEA) Scale
This study examined the psychometric properties of 11 items that were developed by Lenferink and colleagues (2022) to assess Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD) in Experience Sampling Methodology (ESM) studies. The anonymized data is publicly available. The SPSS syntax files, R codes, and MPlus input and output files that are used for the analyses can be found under the related folders. The findings from the study can be accessed using the following link: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/387335142_Assessing_Prolonged_Grief_Symptoms_Using_Experience_Sampling_Methodology_The_Development_of_the_Prolonged_Grief_Disorder_-_Short_Ecological_Assessment_PGD-SEA_Scale Lenferink, L. Startmonitor studiejaar 2023-2024
