This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, time management, self-efficacy, and social support on the academic achievement of activist students active in student organizations (ORMAWA) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, this research involves ORMAWA-affiliated activist students as respondents. Primary data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire covering motivation, time management, self-efficacy, social support, and academic achievement variables. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software to assess validity, reliability, and the influence of independent variables on academic achievement. The findings indicate that these four variables contribute significantly, accounting for 70.3% of students' academic achievement in ORMAWA. This result underscores the importance of developing motivation, time management skills, self-efficacy, and social support to enhance students' academic success. Universities are encouraged to offer relevant programs to improve students' soft skills. This study contributes to the literature and provides opportunities for further research by adding variables and expanding the sample

    Get PDF
Coastal areas are one of the areas that currently have many problems, such as environmental problems and community welfare. One of the areas that has problems with these issues is Gisik Cemandi, Sedati, and Sidoarjo. One of the problems in the coastal area is the pile of shells that make the residential environment look dirty, dirty, smelly, and even become a nest for dangerous animals. The purpose of this research is to map the benefits that can be taken from shell waste so that the community can take opportunities of economic value, both as industrial activities, helping to reduce waste, and empowering coastal communities. This research uses a qualitative method with the Snowball Sampling Technique. Based on the results of the study, shell waste can be reduced to several products, namely fertilizer materials, chemical mixtures (calcium carbonate and metal adsorbents), handicrafts, animal feed mixtures, chitin-chitosan, and building material mixtures. Each of these products has its own benefits and selling value. However, this research only focuses on innovation in mapping waste products. This can be a potential opportunity for local communities to provide value to waste and improve welfare

The aim of this research is to determine the factors that influence the purchase intention of generation Z Muslim consumers towards local cosmetic products that are halal and environmentally friendly. This research uses a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire, the sampling technique is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The population in this study is generation Z who live in the Greater Solo area and have never used Avoskin products. The sample in this study was 312 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this research is the SEM PLS method using SmartPLS software. Based on this research, it was found that of the 23 hypotheses tested, seventeen hypotheses were confirmed. Meanwhile, six hypotheses were not accepted, from the hypotheses that were not accepted there were results that were highlighted, namely that eco-label and halal-green awareness had no effect on purchase intention, but environmental knowledge had an effect on purchase intention. This is possible because there is still little public awareness and concern in selecting a product and its impact on the environment. And of the eight hypotheses with mediating variables, two hypotheses were found that could fully mediate. It is hoped that these findings can increase the intention to purchase local cosmetics that are halal and environmentally friendly, namely by better understanding consumer behavior, especially generation Z. The practical implications of this research are that cosmetic producers gain profits by entering the halal market and increasing market share by adding halal and environmentally friendly branding

    Get PDF
This study examines the influence of private label and national brands on brand loyalty for Indomaret tissue products in the Soloraya region, using perceived quality as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative method with primary data collected from 250 respondents through a closed-ended questionnaire. The analysis uses the Partial Least Squares (PLS) model to test relationships between variables. The findings reveal that private label and national brands significantly influence perceived quality, with private label brands showing a greater contribution. Perceived quality plays a crucial role in enhancing brand loyalty, both directly and as a mediator between brands and loyalty. Although national brands have a stronger direct impact on brand loyalty, private label brands also demonstrate potential in fostering loyalty through positive perceived quality. This study contributes to retail management by emphasizing the importance of perceived quality as a key factor in improving consumer loyalty. Future research is recommended to broaden the scope of products and regions to achieve more representative results

Determinants of Female Labor Force Participation Rate in 2019-2023 in 34 Provinces of Indonesia

    Get PDF
This study examines the determinants of the Female Labor Force Participation Rate (FLFPR) across 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2019 to 2023, utilizing secondary panel data from the Indonesian Statistics Agency (BPS). Guided by relevant labor economics theories and prior empirical studies, this research considers key socioeconomic factors, including Female Labor Force Participation Rate (FLFPR), Average Years of Schooling (AYS), Life Expectancy of Women, Marital Status of Women, and Adjusted Per Capita Expenditure. Panel data regression analysis is conducted using the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM), with model selection based on Chow and Hausman tests. Diagnostic tests are applied to address potential issues such as autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity, ensuring the robustness of results. Findings indicate that the FEM is the most suitable model, explaining 98.05% of the variation in FLFPR. Women's education, life expectancy, and per capita expenditure significantly influence FLFPR, while the marital status of women aged 20-24 does not show a significant impact. This unexpected result suggests the need for further exploration of regional and cultural differences in marriage and labor participation. Policy recommendations emphasize expanding educational access, improving healthcare services, and promoting women's economic independence. Future research should incorporate additional explanatory variables and alternative econometric approaches for a more comprehensive analysis

The Impact of Marketing Mix on Patient Loyalty and Satisfaction in Inpatient Services

    Get PDF
The impact of the marketing mix appeared to be one of the most important elements in influencing patient loyalty and satisfaction. The marketing mix consists of many variables, namely product, price, place, promotion, physical evidence, and process. Building on well-known frameworks such as the SERVQUAL model and the Theory of Planned Behaviour, this study suggests a mediating role of patient satisfaction between specific marketing mix elements and loyalty. A quantitative technique was used and data was collected from inpatients using structured questionnaires. The results show that physical evidence and process have a positive and significant effect on satisfaction and loyalty; however, the effect of product, price, place, and promotion on loyalty is direct and not mediated by satisfaction. These findings are consistent with previous literature emphasizing the role of service quality and customer experience in the healthcare setting. However, the study does not focus on any other specific methodology to identify other factors that can predict a patient's satisfaction in a hospital environment. It provides a theoretical and practical basis for future health service marketing movements
