The Influence of Company Size, Managerial Ownership, and Institutional Ownership on Company Value: An Empirical Study on Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 Period

    No full text
This study aims to evaluate the influence of company size, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership on company value in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2024. In this study, the value of the company is expressed in the form of a Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio. The approach used is quantitative with the type of associative research. The selection of samples was carried out purposively and resulted in 80 companies as research objects. The test results showed that the three independent variables, either individually or together, did not have a significant influence on the company's value. This is evidenced by the significance value of the F test of 0.418 and the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.036, which indicates that the model is only able to explain 3.6% of the total variation in the company's value. These findings indicate that the internal factors studied have not been able to explain the change in company values substantially, so exploration of other variables in follow-up studies is needed to gain a more comprehensive understanding

This study investigates the influence of investment policy, dividend policy, and profitability on firm value, using firm size as a moderating variable in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021–2023 period. The research employs a quantitative approach with data gathered from 16 banks, yielding 48 observations. Analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The findings show that investment policy and profitability have a positive and significant effect on firm value, while dividend policy exerts a positive but not statistically significant influence. Firm size significantly moderates the relationship between investment policy and profitability with firm value, indicating its amplifying role in enhancing these effects. However, firm size does not moderate the influence of dividend policy. These results highlight the importance of strategic investment and profitability management in increasing firm value, particularly in larger firms with more resources. The study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering insights into how internal financial decisions interact with firm characteristics in shaping company valuation. It also provides a relevant framework for financial managers and investors in the post-pandemic recovery phase. This research supports data-driven strategies to enhance long-term competitiveness and market confidence

    Get PDF
This research aims to analyze determinants factors of economic growth among provinces in Indonesia during the period of 2016–2022 using a dynamic panel data approach. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita serves as the main indicator of regional economic performance. The independent variables include road length, number of schools, average length of schooling, life expectancy, labor force participation rate (TPAK), skilled labor, and the Information and Communication Technology Development Index (ICT-DI). The estimation results show that human capital variables, especially average length of schooling and life expectancy, have a positive and significant effect on increasing GRDP per capita. The TPAK variable also shows a significant contribution in driving economic growth. On the other hand, physical infrastructure variables such as road length and number of schools have a significant negative effect, indicating that infrastructure development is not effective enough if it is not accompanied by an increase in quality and utilization. The skilled labor and ICT-DI variables do not show a statistically significant effect, indicating that there is still a gap between technological capacity and workforce skills. In addition, this research finds a process of economic convergence among provinces, with a convergence speed of 0.5094, which means around 50% of the gap in GRDP per capita can be corrected within one year. This finding emphasizes the importance of a development strategy that balances physical investment and strengthens the quality of human resources and digital transformation to support sustainable and inclusive regional economic growth.

Technology has advanced with the use of AI, but human resources, as the primary asset in achieving company goals, remain irreplaceable. The current performance problem is low employee performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance, compensation on employee engagement, the work environment on employee performance, the work environment on employee engagement, and employee engagement on employee performance. The number of respondents was 200 respondents. The research sample was determined using stratified random sampling. Data analysis in this study used SEM PLS to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The SEM PLS analysis results indicate that compensation affects employee engagement, the work environment has a positive effect on employee performance, and employee engagement has a positive effect on employee performance. However, compensation hurts employee performance, while the work environment does not affect employee engagement. The AHP analysis results indicate that compensation is the primary factor in improving employee performance. The conclusion of the study states that although compensation has a negative effect on employee performance, if it is not fulfilled it will cause job dissatisfaction, therefore employee compensation must be considered and increased by employees in order to create a bond between employees and the company which will improve employee performance in the future.&nbsp

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on the quality of financial reporting in Sharia Rural Bank (BPRS) in Indonesia, by examining the mediating roles of risk management implementation, innovation, and sustainability reporting. The primary issue addressed in this research is the high closure rate of BPRS, which is largely attributed to the lack of integrity and transparency in financial reporting. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing purposive sampling techniques to collect data from 129 respondents, including directors, managers, and division heads across various BPRS institutions. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on risk management effectiveness, innovation, and sustainability reporting, all of which subsequently contribute to enhancing financial reporting quality. Moreover, the mediating variables are proven to strengthen the relationship between organizational culture and financial reporting quality. Based on these findings, it is recommended that BPRS institutions foster a corporate culture that promotes innovation, effective risk management, and sustainability in order to ensure reliable and Sharia-compliant financial reporting. Future research is encouraged to explore additional influencing factors, such as corporate governance and information technology, within the context of Islamic banking

Improving the effectiveness and accountability of local financial management is a major concern in Indonesia’s fiscal decentralization policy. Local government financial performance serves as a critical benchmark in evaluating fiscal management under regional autonomy. In practice, many local governments remain highly dependent on central transfers and fail to optimize capital spending due to weak budget planning, supervision, and institutional capacity. This study investigates the effects of capital expenditure and audit opinion on local government financial performance, with government size as a moderating variable. The study focuses on eight regencies and cities in Banten Province from 2015 to 2023, using a quantitative approach with secondary data analyzed through multiple linear regression and interaction analysis. The results show that capital expenditure has a negative and significant effect on financial performance, indicating inefficiency in managing long-term investments. Audit opinion has no significant influence, either directly or when moderated. However, government size strengthens the negative effect of capital expenditure on performance. This study addresses a gap in empirical literature by incorporating government size as a moderating variable to explain prior inconsistencies and to offer a deeper understanding of fiscal capacity in decentralized governance. The findings highlight the importance of improving fiscal and institutional quality to ensure that capital spending effectively contributes to sustainable local financial independence

Linking Environmental Orientation, Performance, Green Business Strategy: On Mediating Role of Top Management Environmental Awareness Financial Based in SMEs

    Get PDF
This study has a topic regarding the role of top management environmental awareness (TMEA) in mediating the correlation between environmental orientation (EO) and environmental performance (EP) with the adoption of green business strategy (GBS) among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Gresik, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, there is 151 SMEs data collected then analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that EO and EP do not directly influence GBS. Instead, both significantly affect TMEA, which in turn mediates their impact on GBS. Moreover, SMEs' performance (SP) demonstrates a significant effect on GBS, underscoring the importance of firm performance as a control variable. These findings contribute to the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities theory by positioning managerial awareness as a critical intangible capability that enables firms to translate environmental orientations into strategic actions. Stakeholder Theory is also supported, as external pressures prove effective only when internalized by top managers. The study provides practical implications for SME managers, highlighting the need to enhance managerial environmental awareness through training and leadership development. Limitations include the geographic focus on Gresik and the cross-sectional design, which restricts generalizability and causal inference. Future research should extend to broader contexts and adopt longitudinal methods. Overall, the study advances theoretical and practical understanding of how managerial awareness fosters green strategies in SMEs

    No full text
This research is motivated by the need for a more humanistic approach toward children in conflict with the law compared to the conventional criminal justice system, which tends to be punitive. The main objective of this study is to examine the implementation of restorative justice at the Mandailing Natal Police, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze it within the framework of Islamic law. This study employs a qualitative method with a juridical-sociological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving law enforcement officers and related parties. The findings reveal that restorative justice has been applied primarily to minor offenses such as theft and minor assault through penal mediation involving the offender, the victim, and their families. Supporting factors include a strong legal foundation and local cultural values that uphold peace and reconciliation, while inhibiting factors consist of limited investigative resources and a lack of public understanding. From the perspective of Islamic law, restorative justice aligns with the principles of islah (reconciliation), afwu (forgiveness), and diyat (compensation), which emphasize the restoration of social relationships and the achievement of communal welfare. Therefore, the implementation of restorative justice at the Mandailing Natal Police reflects a harmony between positive law and the moral values of justice in Islam.
