An Examination of the Effectiveness of the Internal Control System at Department X in West Java Province
Enhancing governance and reinforcing public accountability are pivotal objectives in Indonesia’s ongoing bureaucratic reform, particularly through the application of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP). Despite being regulated at the national level, the operational effectiveness of SPIP within local institutions still encounters various challenges. This research investigates how SPIP is implemented within a Local Government Agency (OPD) in West Java Province, utilizing the five core components stipulated in Government Regulation No. 60 of 2008 and the maturity level indicators set by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). The evaluation covers three components: objective setting, structure and processes (which include elements such as control environment, risk identification, control activities, information and communication flow, and monitoring processes), and the achievement of SPIP objectives. The analysis also incorporates the Risk Management Index (MRI) and the Corruption Control Effectiveness Index (IEPK). The results indicate that both SPIP and MRI are positioned at maturity level 3 (Defined), whereas IEPK stands at level 4 (Transformed), suggesting that while frameworks are established, they lack comprehensive integration and systematic documentation. These insights underline the urgency of reinforcing internal monitoring, integrating risk control across units, and leveraging digital tools for oversight. The study offers strategic insights for enhancing public sector internal control systems using adaptive and evidence-based practices

Flood Disaster Evacuation Analysis (Case Study: Long Pahangai I Village and Long Pahangai II Village, Mahakam Ulu Regency)
Flood disasters are caused by high rainfall intensity and the close proximity of residential areas to the river, as observed in Long Pahangai I and Long Pahangai II Villages. Flooding in these villages occurs frequently every year, with varying water levels. In 2024, floods occurred more than twice in May, reaching a water level of 3 meters above the road surface. Currently, there are no designated evacuation points for flood disasters in the study area. However, during flooding events, affected residents typically seek refuge in unaffected homes within the community. Given this situation, it is crucial to consider the characteristics of the area when planning for flood disaster evacuation. The evacuation point planning process takes into account the capacity and characteristics of the study location, while evacuation routes are determined using Network Analysis to identify the most effective paths. The analysis results indicate the identification of two temporary evacuation points, one final evacuation point, and three flood disaster evacuation routes distributed across Long Pahangai I and Long Pahangai II Villages
The Influence of Competence and Work Motivation on Employee Performance of PT PAL Indonesia
This study aims to determine the effect of competence and work motivation on employee performance at PT PAL Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a sample of 92 employees selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis techniques employ multiple linear regression with t-test and F-test for hypothesis testing. The results show that competence and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 54.3% indicates that competence and work motivation contribute significantly to improving employee performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. These findings emphasize the importance of competence development and motivation improvement to support optimal employee performance
The Effect of Service Quality, Product Quality, and Price on Customer Loyalty with Customer Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable (Study at Tom Sushi Surabaya)
This research was conducted to examine the extent to which service quality, product quality, and price are able to shape customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as the link, at Tom Sushi Surabaya. This research departs from the phenomenon of increasing Japanese culinary trends in Indonesia as well as the business need to keep customers loyal in the midst of fierce competition. Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique of 100 respondents, the data was analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The research findings show that product quality and price have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction, while service quality does not show a significant influence. Customer loyalty was shown to be influenced by price and satisfaction level, but not directly by service or product quality. On the other hand, customer satisfaction plays an intermediary role in the relationship between product quality and price and loyalty, but not service quality
The Influence of Work Stress, Incentives, and Motivation on the Performance of Shopeefood Drivers in Cirebon
This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress, incentives, and motivation on the performance of ShopeeFood drivers in Cirebon. A quantitative method with an associative approach was used in this study, with 138 drivers as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed without explicitly displaying statistical results. The results showed that job stress has a negative impact on driver performance, while incentives and motivation have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, these three variables contributed 52.1% to driver performance, indicating that these factors are very important in improving their performance. This study has limitations in terms of area coverage and limited sample. Therefore, further research is recommended to examine other factors that can affect driver performance more broadly
The Role of Profitability in Mediating the Effect of Leverage on Firm Value at PT Indofarma Tbk
The purpose of this study is to investigate how much profitability can mediate the connection between firm value and leverage at PT Indofarma Tbk between 2019 and 2023. The route analysis method was utilized in this study's quantitative methodology, and SPSS version 22 software was used for data processing. The annual study's companies' financial statements period served as the data source. With a coefficient value of -3.251 and a significance level of p = 0.000, the findings of the analysis show that leverage significantly reduces firm value; however, no real impact of leverage on profitability was found (coefficient = 0.000; p = 0.904). On the other hand, the findings demonstrates that profitability raises the worth of the company, but this relationship is not statistically significant (coefficient = 19.125; p = 0.288). These results indicate that how leverage and corporate value are related is not significantly mediated by profitability. In terms of theory, this study confirms that capital structure, especially in the form of leverage, has a direct impact on firm value without involving profitability as an intermediary channel. The practical implication of this result is the importance of controlling the debt structure so as not to cause a decrease in firm value, as well as the need for management to remain focused on improving the efficiency of asset performance. This study expands academic understanding of the dynamics between leverage, profitability, and firm value, and provides strategic insights for decision makers, especially in terms of optimal capital structure management

Feasibility Study of Investment in New Conveyor Facility for CHF Supply Power Plant ABC PT XYZ
PLTU ABC is a coal-fired steam power plant that receives its coal supply from PT XYZ. At present, coal delivery relies on a single conveyor system with a capacity of 1,200 tons per hour. Since PT XYZ supplies coal based on the power plant’s demand, the conveyor must remain operational 24 hours a day. Any unplanned maintenance on the conveyor can disrupt supply and result in lost electricity production. Monthly coal delivery targets have been established, necessitating alternative delivery methods in case the conveyor system fails. Three alternative solutions have been identified: leasing a temporary conveyor, investing in a new conveyor system, or switching to direct coal delivery via trucks. The capital expenditure estimates are based on historical purchase data, adjusted for inflation over the past five years. The financial analysis indicates that direct truck delivery offers the highest return on investment and stronger cash flow compared to either leasing or constructing a new conveyor system. The project’s financial metrics include a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 51.22 billion, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 60.13%, a Modified Internal Rate of Return (MIRR) of 24.54%, and a payback period of 1.55 years. Further validation using sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations showed that the probability of achieving a positive NPV (NPV > 0) is 65%. Based on these findings, it is concluded that direct delivery by trucks is more financially viable than investing in or leasing conveyor facilities
