La promesse d'un habitat hospitalier: Enquête sur des dispositifs d'hébergement expérimentaux pour personnes sans abri
No full textCette recherche porte sur trois dispositifs d’hébergement expérimentaux ouverts dans le cadre de l’Appel à Manifestation d’Intérêt « Accompagnement des personnes en situation de grande marginalité dans le cadre d’un lieu de vie innovant à dimension collective ». Le rapport de recherche réinscrit, de manière socio-historique, ces dispositifs dans une histoire récente des politiques de prise en charge des sans-abri et analyse leur hospitalité à partir de trois mouvements : arriver dans une nouvelle structure, cohabiter dans un lieu de vie à dimension collective et déménager vers d’autres habitats. Cette recherche souligne l’existence d’une promesse d’un habitat hospitalier qui engage moralement les habitants et les professionnels de ces dispositifs
Local Currencies for Territorial Development: Lessons from a National Survey in France
No full textPublished online: 13 Oct 2022International audienceThis article analyses how convertible local currencies (CLCs) contribute to their circulating territory, in the case of France, where a systematic survey was held in 2019–20. It builds a framework in which CLCs contribute to a territorialized infrastructure and assume functions of territorial intermediation, thus supporting a territorial development process. It examines how the CLC organizations define their territory, before assessing the territorial development they carry, with evidence about their size, role in the territorial coordination of actors and governance issues. This assessment raises doubts about their actual contribution to territorial development, while possible achievements are discussed

No full textInternational audienceIndividual mobility is one of the key factors in understanding today's peri-urban areas. These mobilities are accompanied by income flows that are redistributed to rural and peri-urban territories, enabling them to develop independently of the territory's economic production. This is why we believe this is a key concept for understanding peri-urban territories. In this article, we propose to define these areas through the notion of residential economy, and to observe the actions of elected officials aimed at fixing these incomes in their territories, based on the analysis of 34 semi-structured interviews. Our study area is the Communauté de communes de la Dombes, less than an hour from Lyon.Les mobilités individuelles sont un des éléments clés pour comprendre les espaces périurbains aujourd’hui. Ces mobilités s’accompagnent de flux de revenus qui sont redistribués sur les territoires ruraux et périurbains, leur permettant ainsi un développement indépendant de la production économique du territoire. C’est pourquoi nous pensons qu’il s’agit d’un concept clé pour comprendre les territoires périmétropolitains. Dans cet article, nous proposons donc de définir ces espaces grâce à la notion d’économie résidentielle et d’observer les actions des élus visant à fixer ces revenus sur leurs territoires en nous appuyant sur l’analyse de 34 entretiens semi-directifs. No full textInternational audiencePenrose’s book, The Theory of the Growth of the Firm has had considerable influence in academia. Nevertheless, it seems to have attracted little attention from labour economists. We argue that Penrose has something original to say about labour. The originality of her point of view is that she analyses labour productivity as being dependent on both the firm conceived as an organisation and on the representations or beliefs of the economic actors. This positioning gives rise to a particular conception of human resource management policies. It also gives rise to an understanding of work as a transformative activity for individuals

Using Intervention Mapping and Behavior Change Techniques to Develop a Health Promotion Intervention on Endocrine Disruptors: Development Study
No full textInternational audienceEndocrine disruptors (EDs) are substances that interfere with the endocrine system, posing risks to health across various life stages, particularly during adolescence when hormonal changes are pronounced. Despite the recognition of adolescents as vulnerable, there have been few interventions targeting their exposure to EDs. This study developed the COPE ADOS program using the intervention mapping (IM) framework to enhance adolescents' knowledge and skills in identifying and mitigating exposure to EDs. The IM framework guided the creation of the program through four steps: conducting a needs assessment, formulating program objectives, selecting relevant behavioral theories, and developing a logical model. The need assessment conducted through focus groups revealed significant knowledge gaps and misconceptions about EDs among adolescents, leading to the establishment of six performance objectives aimed at addressing attitude, knowledge, risk perception, self-efficacy, and skills. As a result, 15 educational tools were created. The COPE ADOS program represents a novel, collaborative effort tailored to the needs of students and demonstrates the potential of the IM framework in developing effective health interventions for adolescents. Future research should evaluate the impact of this program on reducing ED exposure among high school students
What is the relationship between a city's commercial harbor and its workshops?A work in progress on the case of Delos
No full textInternational audienceThe city of Delos is today primarily viewed as a commercial hub, largely due to its harbor. While the harbor was already significant during the period of Independence (314–167/6 BCE), it expanded in the mid-2nd century BCE during the Athenian dominance, when the Roman Senate declared it a free port. The productive aspect of the city has been largely overlooked, with its economy being regarded as purely commercial. Yet, the numerous workshops on the island attest to its productive nature. What was the relationship between this commercial harbor—whose significance is undeniable—and these workshops, about which we know so little? In this lecture, I will present the many questions and the few answers I have thus far. Raw data and bibliography are always the starting point of our research, so I will begin with a state-of-the-art overview, presenting the available sources and reviewing the historiography on this issue. I will then explore how the workshops functioned alongside the harbor, and vice versa, looking for connections between the two. The diachronic perspective on such issues allows us to highlight the importance of geopolitical events and to establish links with state institutions. While I currently have more questions than answers, I believe we must consider a complementary relationship between the workshops and the port, one that moves beyond the commercial dominance that has long been emphasized
