The social impact of artificial intelligence chatbots on college students
This study aims to investigate the impact of the freely accessible artificial intelligence chatbots (AICB) that might disrupt the teaching and learning pattern in higher education. While some education stakeholders developed strong opposition towards the AICB usage, condemning it as academic dishonesty, there are others believe the AICB might even improve the students’ learning. A total of 160 urban college students were purposively selected and requested to respond to the scales of ChatGPT acceptance and trust, academic self-efficacy, and university mattering to test the hypothesis that the acceptance and trust towards AICB should improve academic self-efficacy and general mattering among the students. The results indicated that academic self-efficacy partially mediates the contribution of AICB on the societal mattering. In other words, the findings suggest that students who trust and accept AICB usage would likely to believe that they can perform academically better and therefore they feel they are more meaningful to the society. Limitations and suggestions for future research are discussed

Generic green skills: maturity level of vocational education teachers and students in Indonesia
Vocational education (VE) is one of the institutions that must answer environmental problems by providing green job skills to its students. However, VE in Indonesia still experience various obstacles in providing this provision, so the aim of this research aims to analyze the extent of the level of green skills (GS) in teachers and students in this country, which includes the dimensions of cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal competence as an illustration for developing a priority scale for improvement. In addition, examining the differences and correlations between dimensions and the contribution of dimensions to GS as a whole is an additional goal. The survey method was carried out using a generic GS questionnaire instrument in VE that have Adiwiyata status. Data were analyzed using three stages: descriptive analysis, ANOVA-post hoc Tukey test, and path analysis. As a result, students’ GS still show a low category, while teachers get a high category. Between dimensions show no significant differences. Finally, all competencies have a significant relationship and can construct overall GS. These results indicate that there is still a need to strengthen teacher competencies in GS-based learning management and strengthen collaboration with all levels of society
Identification of the satisfaction of university students through sentiment analysis: a systematic review
In these times it is necessary to use tools based on artificial intelligence (AI) that contribute to improving the quality of university education for the benefit of students. This article aims to define the state of the question on the application of sentiment analysis in the identification of student satisfaction, based on the systematic review of scientific publications. The research is of an exploratory level and of a mixed approach. The data collection method was based on the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) declaration, managing to focus the review based on 27 publications, downloaded from Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar. From the systematic review, the following conclusions were reached: the fields of application to a greater extent are found in the academic field and university well-being. Likewise, regarding the contributions achieved, these focused to a greater extent on aspects of the teaching activity, valuing their performance and contributing to their feedback for the redesign of didactic strategies. Finally, in terms of limitations, they focused mainly on the low student participation regarding the use of sentiment analysis to identify student satisfaction; this is due to the lack of regulations or regulations for it is application in the university environment
Effects of professional learning communities on job satisfaction of female teachers in Vietnam
This study focuses on this topic to better understand how professional learning communities (PLCs) affect the work satisfaction of female primary school teachers in Vietnam. By utilizing the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 26) to evaluate our sample of 675 female primary school teachers, we were able to provide insight into the efficacy of PLCs in enhancing work satisfaction levels. The findings show that, among this population, participation in PLCs is significantly correlated with higher job satisfaction. In which, the collective learning and application (LA) element is followed by the shared and supportive leadership (SS), supportive conditions—relationships (SR), supportive conditions—structures (CS), and shared personal practice (PP) elements, shared values and vision (VV) has the most minor influence. Using PLCs as a workable solution to improve female educators’ working conditions and job satisfaction emphasizes the possible advantages for educational practice and policy
Blended learning in mathematic: the fusion of GeoGebra and Edmodo for enhanced problem-solving abilities
This research investigates the effectiveness of problem-based mathematics learning through blended learning with the help of Edmodo and GeoGebra in improving problem-solving skills in mathematics learning. The primary motivation of this research is to develop a learning approach that can overcome challenges in solving mathematical problems. The method used in this study used a quantitative approach, and a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design was applied. This study involved 72 students in two semesters from a university in Banten, Indonesia, with 36 students in the experimental class (11 male and 25 female) and 36 in the control class (10 male and 26 female). Data was collected through problem-solving tests before and after the learning intervention—data analysis using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. The group using Edmodo-GeoGebra (BL-UEG) and the group Edmodo without GeoGebra (BL-EWG) experienced an increase in the moderate category. In conclusion, problem-based mathematics learning through blended learning with the help of Edmodo and GeoGebra can be an effective alternative learning model for improving students’ problem-solving abilities in mathematics. Therefore, this approach deserves further exploration in learning settings
Cognitive restructuring as a panacea for maladaptive behaviors among primary school children
This study investigated the efficacy of cognitive restructuring as a panacea for maladaptive behaviors among primary school children in Calabar Municipal, Cross River State, Nigeria. The study was a quasi-experimental study using a pre-test-post-test experimental design. Data were collected from pupils in primary four. Data was collected over twelve weeks. The mean and standard deviation of the pre-and post-test scores were calculated and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to determine the differences in the two scores. There were 39 students recruited for the study. The study found that maladaptive behaviors such as aggression and disobedience were pervasive among primary school pupils in Calabar. Notably, the findings indicated that cognitive restructuring had a statistically significant impact on reducing aggressive behavior, though its influence on disobedient behavior was not as pronounced. The paper concluded that cognitive restructuring is an effective intervention strategy for addressing maladaptive behaviors among primary school pupils. The intervention achieved its intended goal of improving children’s behavior and provided a framework for more sustainable behavior management strategies
Development and validation of Indonesian youth career identity scale: the Rasch analysis
Career identity is one of the most important psychosocial developmental tasks for adolescents. The development of career identity in adolescence will prevent humans from experiencing identity confusion which will have an impact on further developmental tasks. This research answers the need for this measurement tool by developing and validating a career identity measurement tool called the Indonesian youth career identity scale (IYCIS). This instrument consists of 55 items in two aspects: career exploration and commitment. This study uses Rasch analysis to test the validity of the IYCIS construct. The construct validity test involved 200 high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data analysis using Winstep software provides information about the quality of respondents and instruments, items that are easy and difficult for respondents to agree on, items that are made to order, and unidimensional. The results of applying the Rasch analysis show that IYCIS is good, precise, and has an item fit with the model. IYCIS is a reliable and valid measurement tool for accurately measuring the level of student career identity. This study discusses the implications and recommendations for further research on the implementation of guidance and counseling that contains career identity as a follow-up to IYCIS performance
Relationship of TPACK, motivation, self-regulation, and learning performance on preservice primary school teachers
Technological development could enable pre-service teachers to adopt web design with strong pedagogy, however adaptation requires still unclear an explicit exploration of the factors. This study aimed to identify the effect of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) on motivation, self-regulation, and learning achievement. It surveyed 406 pre-service teachers from 12 higher education institutions in Indonesia. Data validity and reliability were checked using an exploratory factor, confirmatory, and part analyses. The partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) results showed that TPACK has the most significant role in learning motivation. The result shows that technology integration knowledge also significantly affects self-regulated learning (SRL). In addition, pre-service teachers’ TPACK supports their learning motivation to use the web, as well as their academic achievement. Moreover, most students’ achievements were constructed by TPACK, learning motivation, and self-regulation. This study implies that the instructor should clarify the project mission and the inquiry system activities in the educational technology course
