Get PDFLow back pain is pain that can be localized that occurs between the costal margins to the inferior gluteal folds that occurs for more than one day and can cause leg pain or numbness. 7.6% to 37% of the Indonesian population has experienced lower back pain. Low back pain can be caused by several risk factors, including age, body mass index (BMI), years of service, work chair, sitting position and exercise habits. Understanding low back pain and living a healthy life is one of the keys to success in preventing and solving low back pain problems. So it is important for the community at the Balung Health Center to understand about low back pain and live a healthy life. Therefore, it is necessary to increase knowledge and understanding in the community about low back pain and healthy living through education and distribution of leaflets at the Mahoni 41, 45 and 93 Integrated Health Centers in Balung, Jember Regency. This community service was carried out in May-June 2022. Patients were checked for height, weight, abdominal circumference, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Based on the evaluation results through the pre test and post test, there were 32 people (76.1%) on Mahogany 41, 40 people (80%) on Mahogany 45 and 32 people (72.9%). This shows that there is an increase in understanding of low back pain. So it is hoped that with this knowledge, the community can apply it in daily life for a healthy lifestyle so as not to experience complaints of low back

Get PDFThe coffee production process carried out by the Sumber Kembang Farmers Group includes seeding to marketing products in the form of ready-to-eat ground coffee. Although this group of coffee farmers is considered to be quite good, there are still some weaknesses, namely the process of drying coffee beans is still done manually, namely drying in the sun. The manual drying process is highly dependent on land area, weather, and labor. Meanwhile, the coffee beans that have been harvested must be dried as soon as possible to maintain the quality of the coffee beans. In addition, farmer groups have not utilized information technology optimally. Therefore, this service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the productivity of coffee farming through the design and training of Rotary Dryer and increasing sales of coffee products by expanding the reach of marketing through website creation. The implementation of socialization and training was aimed at members of the Sumber Kembang coffee farmer group located in Karangpring Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency. After further training, namely monitoring the results of service activities, this activity needs to be carried out to ensure that the application of technology is actually implemented by the Sumber Kembang farmer group. The method of activity applied in implementing this partnership program is the method of explaining the material about the application and benefits of rotary dryer using a power point, providing tools in the form of rotary dryer, and website training, after which monitoring is carried out. After the service activities have been carried out, farmers are able to operate rotary dryer and can increase market share thereby increasing consumer demand for coffee products from the Sumber Kembang farmer group. This is indicated by data on the increase in consumer demand for coffee products, which is above 25% for each type of product

PHBS is an effort that can be made by the community to improve the quality of health through individuals, groups, or society at large. As well as the restrictions on community activities, especially in the economic sector, the people's purchasing power decreases for MSME products, precisely in Dalang Village. Therefore, in this community service, UKM KSR-PMI Unit ITB STIKOM Bali held community service in the form of health socialization and socialization of the use of technology. Broadly speaking, this activity is divided into health socialization which aims to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) and socialization of the use of social media technology and e-commerce which aims to improve and help the economy and MSMEs in Dalang Village. . This activity that has been carried out by UKM KSR-PMI Unit ITB STIKOM Bali has a fairly large and good impact on people's understanding which can be seen from the results of the percentage of questionnaires. The prevalence of constipation in Indonesia is very small, in Bali in children aged 4-6 years the prevalence of constipation is 15.1%, while in children in Padang Barat Subdistrict, Padang City the constipation rate is 19.9 & with a ratio between males and females is 1.2: 1Constipation is a condition where feces harden so that it is difficult to pass through the anus, and causes a disturbed or uncomfortable feeling in the rectum. Contipation occurs at all ages, and is generally characterized by a low frequency of bowel movements (less than 3 times a week). Breastfed infants may have a bowel movement after every feeding or only once in 7-10 days (Eka, 2014). Constipation may occur due to early complementary feeding. This is very necessary for pregnant women to know, especially those that threaten the safety of the mother and the fetus in her womb, at least what pregnant women should know to recognize Antepartum Hemorrhage and Postpartum Hemorrhage, such as bleeding, reduced fetal movement, abdominal pain and severe headaches (Carlos et al., 2020). Early detection of risk factors is needed to reduce mortality and morbidity of mothers and their fetuses. This is where the role of health workers in early detection of danger signs. This study aims to improve the ability of health cadres to detect early and refer cases of high-risk pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. The research method used analytic research. Early detection of antepartum hemorrhage and postpartum hemorrhage by the family and recognition of risk factors and complications, as well as appropriate treatment by health workers is the best way to reduce MMR and IMR. The targets of this activity were health cadres and pregnant women, 30 respondents were obtained in Kelurahan Baru Ladang Bambu, Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict. The interventions carried out in this activity were counseling, discussion, and simulation. The measuring instrument used pretest and posttest questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon test analysis. The results of the activity are an increase in the knowledge of cadres and pregnant women about the detection of danger signs of pregnancy, antenatal services provided can obtain data on the condition of their pregnancy and become information for pregnant women until now is still high

This requires readiness from schools in implementing health protocols in a disciplined manner to reduce the risk of transmission of covid 19. Supervision of the enforcement of health protocols will be very difficult if you only rely on health workers. The Hope Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT Harum) Jember will now start limited face-to-face learning in order to fulfill the competence of students. The Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Public Health, University of Jember have a moral responsibility to provide education and health promotion activities to the surrounding community, one of which is basic education institutions. One solution that can be done is to form cadres who are tasked with enforcing the implementation of health protocols in a disciplined manner. Get PDFThe golden snail is one of the pests that damage rice plants, this pest has the ability to reproduce quickly, causing the golden snail to become one of the main pests in lowland rice. But the golden snail can be used as a basic material for liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) because it contains protein, Azotobacter, Azospirillum, phosphate solubilizing microbes, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus, enzymes and the hormone auxin. The effectiveness of the golden snail LOF has been tested on several agricultural crops, one of which is rice. In the Podo Tentrem Farmers Group, these pests are simply thrown away and have not been utilized properly. Whereas the potential of this golden snail can be very high if it is processed into organic fertilizer. Therefore, with this community service activity, it is hoped that it can improve competence, skills and increase the production output of the Podo Tentrem farmer group. This can be measured by the enthusiasm of the participants who were attended by 100% of the invitees, besides that the participants also knew the stages of work and succeeded in making Keong Mas LOF well. In addition, other assessment indicators are using quantitative data on pre-test and post-test scores. Before the counseling was carried out, the pretest value was 50 and after the knowledge training, it increased with an average post-test score of 76. These results can indicate that in theory and practice, on average, participants understand and can make golden snail LOF

Get PDFFarm labor is one of the main livelihoods in Indonesia. Farmers' activities on agricultural land are never separated from the use of pesticides, although basically pesticides are not only harmful to plant pests but also pose a potential hazard to farm workers as pesticide users. Various types of pesticides circulating and used in Indonesia include the type of organophosphate. Jam because of its affordable price, organophosphates have good effectiveness in controlling plant pests. This ability is comparable to the dangers of organophosphates for health. Various studies have proven that organophosphate pesticides and other pesticides can cause both acute and chronic health problems. Health problems can range from mild to severe symptoms resulting in disability or death. Pesticides intoxication can actually be prevented. One of the prevention efforts that can be done is the use of good and correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Farmers actually know about the potential dangers of pesticides and the importance of using PPE when spraying pesticides. However, most farm workers do not use standard PPE and do not know how to use the correct PPE. They choose to use simple PPE that they make themselves, for example using t-shirts as head coverings and face masks instead of using hats, goggles and masks as face and head protection. These measures are, of course, non-standard and cannot provide perfect protection. The community service that is carried out has the target of farm workers who live in Gayasan Village, Jenggawah District, Jember Regency. This community service activity uses counseling methods and training on the proper and correct use of PPE, accompanied by the implementation of free health checks and medication for farm laborers and the surrounding community. Measurement of the level of knowledge is measured using a questionnaire and then compared between before and after counseling.
