Get PDFIncreasing skills in processing nutritious food is an important step in efforts to improve public health. One source of protein needed by the human body, especially during the growth and development period, is fish and its derivatives. Fish nuggets are a preparation made from sea fish or freshwater fish, which can practically be consumed as a side dish or snack. The aim of this training is to provide knowledge and skills to Posyandu cadres in processing tilapia fish into nuggets that are healthy, delicious and highly nutritious, so that they can become a healthy food alternative for families and local communities. The activity was attended by 15 participants, including posyandu cadres at the Mekar Baru Village Community Health Center. The activity was carried out using educational lecture methods and practice in making nuggets made from tilapia fish. The activity evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire method, namely pretest and posttest, and the results of the evaluation showed that there was a percentage increase in the participants' understanding and skills in processing nuggets made from tilapia fish

Compost, made from dry or wet leaves, can be used to fertilize the soil, thereby reducing the use of chemical fertilizers which over time can cause poverty in soil nutrients. Composting training for school children at SMPN 5 Kubu Raya aims to train students so they can understand the management of waste into compost and its benefits for the environment. This activity was carried out at SMPN 5 Kubu Raya school, using a lecture and demonstration method for making compost using a simple method, in the form of fermenting a mixture of dry and wet leaves in a closed container. Monitoring and evaluation of activities is carried out during the activity. The evaluation results show the ability of SMPN 5 Kubu Raya students to make compost from a mixture of dry leaves and wet leaves, and understand the importance of processing compost to be used to re-fertilize the soil

Get PDFThis community service activity is a collaboration between the Information Systems Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Jember and RTIK Jember with the Sekar Kartini Jember Women's Consumer Cooperative. From the data collection carried out, it was found that many cooperative members who were MSMEs experienced marketing problems and lacked updates on digital technology. This training aims to provide training in the field of digital marketing and social media optimization to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The main goal is to increase the visibility and competitiveness of local MSMEs in the rapidly growing digital market. The methods used in this activity include providing practical and interactive training which covers basic digital marketing concepts, social media optimization techniques, use of digital marketing tools, and online marketing strategies using effective microsites. The final result of this activity is an increase in participants' understanding and practical skills in utilizing digital platforms to promote their MSME products or services. From initial observations, only around 10% of participants knew about Digital Marketing, so at the end of the activity it increased to 90% of participants who understood the importance of Digital Marketing. In this way, it is hoped that local MSMEs can expand their market reach, increase sales and strengthen their brand awareness among local and international consumers. Apart from that, this activity is also expected to build networks and collaboration between local MSMEs, industrial players, and educational or research institutions to support local economic growth through the use of digital technology. Advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), especially social media, have facilitated the rapid and widespread spread of hoaxes and hate speech in Indonesia. The main problem in dealing with hoaxes is the lack of critical thinking about the information received. Therefore, prevention of hoaxes through education is important. Education can help people detect hoax news and reduce its spread. To conduct this education, the research method used is socialization and education at MAS Muhammadiyah Bayongbong school, especially at the high school level. This activity involved students, partners, and participants. The stages of the activity include surveys, delivery of material on hoaxes and education, and practice using ICT. This activity showed that some participants experienced an increase in knowledge after participating in the socialization. However, there were some difficulties in answering the test questions given. In addition, analysis of the average score of the questions showed an increase from pre-test to post-test. However, there are some materials that are still an obstacle for participants in understanding them

This community service activity (PKM) aims to socialize and educate students in the SMPN 8 Sungai Kakap school environment regarding the prevention of sexual violence, so as to reduce the incidence of these cases. This activity is carried out using the educational lecture method accompanied by watching educational videos. This PKM activity was attended by 35 people consisting of students, several school teachers and student teams assigned to the school in the Teaching Campus 7 (KM7) program. Evaluation of the activity in the form of filling out a questionnaire was carried out before the activity (pre test) and after the activity was completed (post test) to participants regarding the educational material for preventing acts of sexual violence delivered by the implementing team. Science and technology are becoming increasingly crucial for the advancement of small firms, including the tempe sector. The small tempe sector has emerged as a significant element of the economy in numerous nations, exerting a crucial influence on stimulating economic growth at the regional level. Nevertheless, like to other industries of a smaller scale, the tempeh sector encounters several challenges, including issues pertaining to production effectiveness, product excellence, and environmental sustainability. Get PDFOne of the big problems facing Indonesia is unemployment and waste management. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded February 2023 data that there were still 7.99 million unemployed in Indonesia. In terms of education, the highest unemployment rate (TPT) is experienced by high school (SMA) and vocational high school (SMK) graduates. One of the efforts to reduce the high number of unemployed, Senior High Schools (SMA) are expected to play an active role in producing graduates who can create jobs. The waste problem in Indonesia is also a problem that has not been resolved to date. Indonesia is estimated to produce 187.2 million tons of waste every year, with 60% coming from organic waste. One solution for handling organic waste is the application of Eco-enzyme. The aim of this activity is to provide training in making Eco-Enzyme based dish washing soap as an effort to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. This activity was carried out in the form of direct outreach and training to 75 students. Based on the results of observations of these activities, SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember has never implemented making dishwashing soap from organic waste. This can be seen from the pre-test with the results that only 21% of students had a good level of knowledge about Eco-Enzyme. Furthermore, the post-test results after carrying out this training, those with good knowledge levels increased to 92%. The pretest and posttest results show that on average the training participants experienced an increase in knowledge and understanding about the Eco-Enzyme-based Dish Soap Making Training, so it is hoped that it can motivate students' entrepreneurial interest by thinking creatively and innovatively

Get PDFDiabetes mellitus can lead to dyslipidemia, which can increase the risk of vascular obstruction or atherosclerosis. The occurrence of dyslipidemia in people with diabetes mellitus can trigger diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP). Diabetes mellitus with complications of diabetic neuropathic pain became the top 5 disease of the Prolanis program in Puskesmas Trowulan, Mojokerto. DNP is difficult to treat and severely interferes with the quality of the daily lives of patients. The purpose of this Public Service (Pengmas) is to increase public knowledge and understanding of efforts to prevent the occurrence of diabetic neuropathy pain in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with dyslipidemia in the Puskesmas Trowulan, Mojokerto. The method used in this activity is carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of this activity showed that the average pre- and post-test scores increased significantly before and after education, which is 0.94. The level of public health is uneven and very low, especially in people living in slum settlements. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a health behavior carried out with awareness, so that a person can improve their health status. Community behavior that is still unhygienic, coupled with the absence of supporting environmental facilities and infrastructure, has an impact on the health of people living in these slum settlements. Many public health problems may arise due to people's behavior and environmental conditions that do not pay attention to health. The problems found in the Silaberanti sub-district, especially in RT 26, 41 and 42, are a lack of public awareness of clean and healthy living behavior, this can be seen from an unclean environment and improper disposal of rubbish. The solution used to overcome this problem is by increasing awareness community through outreach activities about clean and healthy living behavior and working together to clean the surrounding environment. The results of this activity have a positive impact on society by providing good understanding 90% thereby increasing self-awareness of clean and healthy living behavior
