Study of Molecular Interactions of Water- Soluble Polymer at Several Temperatures in Solution
Molecular interactions between 2-isopropenylnaphthalene-methacrylic acid (IPNMA) block copolymer( as a model for water- soluble polymer) and methanol at several temperatures were studied using fluorescence techniques , Fluorescence spectrum for (IPNMA) exhibits two emission bands at around 342 nm and 387 nm corresponding to the monomer and the excimer bands , respectively .The fluorescence spectra of dilute solution of (IPNMA) in methanol were recorded in temperature range of 8- 45?C . Plot of the excimer to monomer intensity ratio Ie/Im versus temperature was obtained, which shows double lines with positive slopes crossing at 25?C , the increasing of slope value above this temperature is small which indicates that there is stronger solvation of methanol molecules to polymer coil at temperature below 25? C arising from hydrogen bond formation between the polymer and the solvent
Carbonization and Treatment the High Temperature Distortion of Thoriated Tungsten Cathode for High Power Electronic Tubes
A metal mandrel was designed for manufacturing the cathodes of high power electron tube ( Tetrode ) used in broadcasting transmitting tubes type TH558 and CQS200.The cathodes were manufactured in the present work from thoriated tungsten wires ( 2? ThO2- W) with different diameters .These cathodes were carbonized in sequences of processes to determine the carbonization parameters (temperature, pressure, time, current and voltage). Then the carbonized cathodes dimension were accurately measured to determine the deviation due to the high temperature distortion effect at about 1800°C .the distorted cathodes due to the carbonization process was treated when it was subjected inside the vacuum chamber and heat treated again .The carbonized cathode distortions as a function of temperature were measured in the range of (1500°C-1800°C).The temperature was determined using an optical pyrometer and also calculated using Stephan's-Boltzmann relation
Decoding Reed- Muller Codes by Using Hadamard Matrices
This paper discusses the problem of decoding codeword in Reed- Muller Codes. We will use the Hadamard matrices as a method to decode codeword in Reed- Muller codes. In addition Reed- Muller Codes are defined and encoding matrices are discussed. Finally, a method of decoding is explained and an example is given to clarify this method, as well as, this method is compared with the classical method which is called Hamming distance

The present work includes the preparation and characterization of{Co(II) , Ni(II), Pd(II), Fe(III) , Ru(III),Rh(III), Os(III) , Ir(III) , Pt(IV) and VO(IV)}complexes of a new ligand 4-[(1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-3-pyrozoline-5-one)azo]-N,N-dimethylanline (PAD). The product (PAD) was isolated, studies and characterized by phsical measurements,i.e., (FT-IR), (UV) Spectroscopy and elemental analysis(C.H.N). The prepared complexes were identified and their structural geometric were suggested in solid state by using flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis(C.H.N), (FT-IR) and (UV-Vis) Spectroscopy, as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements . The study of the nature of the complexes formed in( ethanolic solution) following the mole ratio method, gave results which were compared successfully with those obtained from solid state studies. The apparent stability constant of the complexes have been studied with the time and their color were stable for more than ( 6 ) hours , as well as the molar absorptivities have been calculated. The antibacterial activity for the ligand (PAD) and their metal complexes were studied against two selected micro - organisms [(Klesbiella pneumonia) as gram negative] and[( Streptococcus faecalis) as gram positive]. Further more the antifungl activity against two micro-organism (Candida albicans and Aspergillus flavus) were studied for the ligand (PAD) and their metal complexes
Statistical Model for Polarization Mode Dispersion in Single Mode Fibers
As the bit rate of fiber optic transmission systems is increased to more than , the system will suffer from an important random phenomena, which is called polarization mode dispersion. This phenomenon contributes effectively to: increasing pulse width, power decreasing, time jittering, and shape distortion. The time jittering means that the pulse center will shift to left or right. So that, time jittering leads to interference between neighboring pulses. On the other hand, increasing bit period will prevent the possibility of sending high rates.
In this paper, an accurate mathematical analysis to increase the rates of transmission, which contain all physical random variables that contribute to determine the transmission rates, is presented. Thereafter, new mathematical expressions for: pulse power, peak power, time jittering, pulse width, and power penalty are derived. On the basis of these formulas, one can choose a certain operating values to reduce or prevent the effects of polarization mode dispersion

The Comparison Effect of Nickel (II) and Cadmium (II) Complexes with Aqueous Extract of Tecrium polium.L (Ja,adah) Plant on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cell Line HeP2
Cancer stay to be one of the leading causes of death throughout the world due to a limited success to use treatments. The new synthesized metal complexes with formula: [Ni L2 (H2O)2]. 2.5 E t OH and [Cd L2]. ½ H2O Where L = Bis [ 5 – ( P – nitrophenyl ) - 4 – phenyl 1 , 2 , 4 – trazol – 3 – dithiocarbamato hydrazide ] and the aqueous extract of Teucrium polium L.(TP) plant (Ja,adahin Arabic) were examined against growth cells of hepatocellular Carcinoma cell Line ( HeP2 ). The cytotoxicity assay of cancer cell line was used for determination of inhibition rate with three concentrations; (62.5, 105 and 250 µg /200µl). The aqueous extract of TP plant induced death of cancer cells by significant elevation of the inhibition rate to 50.03% while the cytotoxic effect of Ni ( II ) complex reached 45.77% and Cadmium (II) was 35.73% at 125µg /200µl.The present study indicates that there are no significant differences between the two new complexes Nickel(II) and Cadmium(II) compared with anticancer drug Cis-pt for all dose
Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activity of Schiff Bases Chelates with Mn(II),Co(II),Ni (II),Cu(II) and Hg(II)
In this paper, some series of new complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni (II) Cu(II) and Hg(II) are prepared from the Schiff bases (L1,L2). (L1) derived from 4-aminoantipyrine and O-phenylene dia mine then (L2) derived from (L1) and 2-benzoyl benzoic acid. Structural features are obtained from their elemental microanalyses, molar conductance, IR, UV–Vis, 1H, 13CNMR spectra and magnetic susceptibility. The magnetic susceptibility and UV–Vis, IR spectral data of the ligand (L1) complexes get square–planar and tetrahedral geometries and the complexes oflig and (L2) get an octahedral geometry. Antimicrobial examinations show good results in the sharing complexes
Effect of Gamma Radiation on Sterility, Sexual Competitiveness and Mating Ability of Carob Moth Ephestia calidella (Guen.)Irradiated as Pupae
When mature pupae (2 days before eclosion) of Ephestia calidella (Guen.) were irradiated with the doses of 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 Gy, the males had a high level of sterility which was 92% at 300 Gy, but it was not significantly different from those treated with 200 and 400 Gy respectively. Furthermore,a high level of sterility (100%) was obtained for female pupae treated with 400 Gy. Meanwhile, when both males and females irradiated as pupae (2 days before eclosion) with 200, 300 and 400 Gy showed a high level of sterility which was 94.4, 98.2 and 99.6%, respectively. It is evident that females were less radio-resistant than males. When males from irradiated pupae at different doses added to untreated adult at ratio of (3:1:1) irradiated males :unirradiated males: unirradiated females the percentage of egg hatch decreased from 76.4% in the control to 36.3% at the dose of 400 Gy. However, sexual competitiveness value and inseminate female irradiated as pupae reduced with increasing doses
