    The Effect of some inducer agents in increase the production of Enterocin U36 produced by Enterococcus faecalis U36 that isolated from Urinary Tract Infection

    الانتروسين U36 ( (ENT U36, هو بكتريوسين منتج من بكترياfaecalis U36    Enterococcus    المعزولة محليا    من عينات ادرار اخذت من مرضى يعانون من التهابات السبيل البولي ، ذي فعالية مثبطة لعدد من الانواع البكتيرية القريبة الصلة التي تعود للبكتريا المنتجة لحامض اللاكتيك Lactic acid bacteria والتي شملت E. faecalis S10. و Lactococcus lactis  و L. fermentum،  بالاضافة الى فعاليته  التثبيطية ضد بعض الممرضات البكتيرية والتي تضمنت الانواع الاتية  Listeria mono cytogenesو  Staphylococcus auraus وStreptococcus spp.   و Escherchia coli  والعصيات المكونة للسبورات s Bacillus subtili.        حددت الظروف المثلى لانتاج الانتروسين من العزلة المحلية EFU36 باستخدام المزارع المغمورة اذ اظهرت النتائج ان وسط الانتاجية الامثل للانتروسين اشتمل على  مصادر كاربونية ومصادر نايتروجينية وبعض الاملاح ولقح الوسط بحجم نهائي 2% من لقاح بعدد خلايا حية 1X910 خلية / مليلتر و رقم هيدروجيني امثل 6  عند درجة حرارة مثلى (35 – 37) ْم بسرعة 120 دورة / دقيقة اذ بلغت الفعالية النوعية 310 x 91 وحدة/ مليغرام بروتين. ودرس  تاثير عدد  من  المحفزات  للانتاجية  مثل Chloramphenicol   و B12  Vitamin وFolic Acid و Mitomycin-C  في الوسط الامثل للانتاجية للعزلة المنتخبة وقد لوحظ ان استخدام 1.5% من المايتومايسين –C قد اعطى اعلى فعالية نوعية عندما بلغت        X  103  310 وحدة / مليغرام بروتين عند اضافته بعد 3 ساعات من  المدة المثلى للانتاج.Enterocin U36 (ENT U36), is a bacteriocin produced by Enterococcus faecalis U36 , strain isolated from urine samples have collected from patients suffering  from urinary tract infections . The Bacteriocin  is an antimicrobial proteins or peptides that inhibit growth of bacteria closely related to the producing organism. The results has been shown that ENT U36 active against Enterococcus faecalis S10 Lactococcus lactis ,Lactobacillus fermentum and few other gram positive pathogens bacteria including Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus auraus ,Bacillus subtilis and Streptococcus spp.  The optimum conditions for enterocin production from selective local isolates EFU36 were determined by using the cultural submerged and the results showed that the optimum media for production of enterocin contained carbon sources , nitrogen source and some mineral salts with an inoculum size of 2% which contains 1x109 cell/ml. at an optimum pH 6 in optimum degree(35-37) in shaker incubator 120 cycle/ min reached to the specific activity of 91x103 unit/mg.The effect of some inducers of production like chloramphenicol, folic acid, vitamin B12 and mitomycin-c was studied. The results showed that 1.5% of mitomycin gave specific activity of about 103x103 unit/mg when added to the optimum media after 3 hours from optimum production period.              &nbsp

    أكسيو قدم المفهوم الأتي، يقال للمقاس M بأنه مكمل معمم إذا كان لكل مقاس جزئي N من M، يوجد مقاس جزئي K من M بحيث أن K +N=M  وNK Rad(K).نها حمادة والهاشمي قدما المفهوم الأتي، يقال للخاصية S المعرفة على المقاسات بأنها خاصية شبه جذرية أذا تحقق الأتي:1.    ليكن N→ M :f تشاكلاً شاملاً. أذا كانت M مقاساً يملك الخاصية S فأن N مقاساً يملك الخاصية S.2.    كل مقاس M يحوي على المقاس الجزئي S(M).هذه الملاحظات قادتنا إلى اقتراح تعريف المقاسات المكملة المعممة من النمط S. لتكن S خاصية شبه جذرية، يقال للمقاس M المعرف على الحلقة R بأنه مقاس مكمل معمم من النمط S. إذا كان لكل مقاس جزئي N من M، يوجد مقاس جزئي K من M بحيث أن M=N+K وN∩ K S(K).الغرض الرئيسي من هذا البحث هو تطوير خواص المقاسات المكملة المعممة من النمط S. لقد أعطينا مجموعة من القضايا الجديدة وأوضحنا المفاهيم بأمثلة.Xue introduced the following concept: Let M be an R- module. M is called a generalized supplemented module if for every submodule N of M, there exists a submodule K of M such that M = N +K and N Ç K Í Rad(K). Hamada and B. AL- Hashimi introduced the following concept: Let S be a property on modules. S is called a quasi – radical property if the following conditions are satisfied: For every epimorphism f: M ® N, where M and N are any two R- modules. If the module M has the property S, then the module N has the property S. Every module M contained the submodule S(M). These observations lead us to introduce S- generalized supplemented modules. Let S be a quasi- radical property. We say that an R-module M is S- generalized supplemented module if for every submodule N of M, there exists a submodule K of M such that M = N + K and N Ç K Í S(K). The main purpose of this work is to develop the properties of S-generalized supplemented modules. Many interesting and useful results are obtained about this concept. We illustrate the concepts, by examples

    Relation between Body Iron Store and Insulin Resistance in Type 2 Diabetes

    تم التحري عن التداخلات السريرية لحالة الحديد في الجسم والتي تشمل (حديد مصل الدم والحديد المخزون في الفيريتين) عند مرضى داء السكري غير المعتمد على الانسولين(النوع 2 ) . شملت الدراسة  36  انثى ، من الاناث  18 مصابة بداء السكري ( النوع 2) و  18 انثى من الاصحاء . كانت المجموعتين متقاربتين بالعمر وفي مؤشر كتلة الجسم (BMI ). اما مجموعة المريضات فقد كانت متماثلة فيما بينها من حيث العمر ومؤشر كتلة الجسم والعلاجات الفموية الخافضة للسكر(مثل الكلبنكلامايد والميتفورمين )ومضاعفات داء السكر. تم قياس الدوال الكيموحيوية لمجموعتي الاصحاء والمرضى وقد شملت :- الانسولين, الكلوكوز بعد الصيام, الحديد في مصل الدم والفيريتين. لوحظت زيادة معنوية عالية في جميع هذه الدوال عند المرضى مقارنة  بالاصحاء. وقد كانت هذه الزيادة واضحة في مقاومة الانسولين (IR ) والتي تم حسابها حسب المعادلة :-   IR = (الانسولين µIU/ ml ×  الكلوكوز mmol/ L) / 22.5   حيث وجدت (275.9 ± 22.7 ) مقارنة بالاصحاء (41.5 ± 11.3 )The clinical impact of interaction between body iron status (serum iron and ferritin ) and type 2  diabetes  has been investigated in this study . Thirty six females were enrolled, eighteen type 2 diabetes and eighteen apparently healthy. These two groups were matched for age and body mass index BMI. The eighteen diabetes females were matched for age, BMI, pharmacological treatment (oral hypoglycemic agent), and chronic diabetes complications . The biochemical parameters measured for both groups (control and diabetes patient) were fasting insulin(Io),fasting  blood glucose (Go) , serum iron and ferritin .  A significant increase in all parameters in patients compared to healthy control was noticed . The insulin resistance ( IR) which was calculated by the equation:-            IR= (Io µIU/ ml × Go mmol/ L)/22.5 was clearly demonstrated to be significantly higher in female diabetes patient( 275.9 ± 22.7) compared to control (41.5±11.3) . &nbsp

    عرضت عذارى عثة الكشمش للمدد ( 1 ، 3 ، 6 ساعات ) للدرجات الحرارية ( 40 ، 45 ، 50 ) ْم على التوالي فضلا عن المقارنة التي كانت درجتها الحرارية 28 ْم  أشارت النتائج الى ان البالغات الناتجة من العذارى المعرضة لدرجة حرارة  50 ْم لمدة 6 ساعات وتزاوجهما فيما بينهما او مع الجنس غير المعرض لهذه الدرجة الحرارية كانت عقيمة كليا وان نسبة فقس البيض كانت صفرا مقارنة بنسبة فقس البيض لتزاوج المقارنة التي هي 87 % . كما بينت النتائج ان عدد الحشرات البالغة المشوه والخارجة من العذارى المعرضة للدرجات الحرارية  وكذلك عدد العذارى الجافة يزداد كلما ارتفعت درجة الحرارة وازدادت مدة التعريض .The pupal stage of Ephestia figulilella was exposed to temperature of 40 ,45 and 50 ºC for different period (1,3 and 6 hrs) besides the control  which exposed to 28 ºC .The effects of these temperature degrees were determined on some biological aspects of produced adult . Results showed that there is increasing in the percentage of dry dead pupa and malformed adults as the temperature and duration of exposure to it increased . Furthermore ,the mean number of eggs / female and  the  age percent of egg hatch for the following mating : ( exposed female × normal male , normal female × exposed male and exposed female × exposed male ) were also effected when adults exposed to these temperature as pupae

    Variables Affecting Developments of Hydroxyapatite Coating by Using Electrophoretic Deposition Technique

    Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) process offers various advantages like the fabrication of the ceramic coatings and bodies with dense packing, good sinterability and homogenous microstructure. The variables namely (applied potential, deposition time and sintering temperature) affected the development of hydroxyapatite (HAP) coatings. The coating weight and thickness were found to increase with the increase in applied potential or coating time. Sintering temperature was found to affect in change phases of the metal, furthermore the firing shrinkage of the HAP coating on a constraining metal substrate leads to serve cracking. XRD Characterization indicates the formation of a contamination free phase pure, and the optical micrographs show the relatively uniform distribution of the HAP coatings. Analysis of the stiochiometric HAP before EPD process and after sintering indicates that the structural aspects do not change i.e. the EPD in ethanol does not affect the structure of HAP powder

    Study of Stability of Personal Dosimeter

    The study is carried out by using personal dosimeters (film badge). The films are irradiated to absorbed dose of range (0.01-10000 rad). The calibration curves are drawn by using the ordinary method taking into account the filtration effects in three regions (D (Pb/Sn),D(Du),D(300). The calibration films are stored in ambient condition. It is found that the optical density increases, which is attributed to the photodegradation of the films may induce localized states in the energy gap causing increasing in optical absorption, but optical density decreases, which attributed to the photodegradation of the films may cause some cracks at the film surface during the first month, whereas at the rest months we see clear stability in optical density for the irradiated films. Before irradiation, there is increasing in optical density during the second month, and decreasing in optical density during the rest months. It is concluded that aging effects must be considered for personal dosimeter before and after irradiation to know its use ability as a permanent record

    This study on the plant of Ain –AL Bason Catharanthus roseous showed the ability of callus cells that is produced by In Vitro culture technique and transformed to the accumulated media (MS 40gm/L sucrose ,2gm/L IAA Indole acetic acid , 0.5gm/L Tryptophan) to produce Vinblastine and Vincristine compounds. Extraction, purification and quantitive determination of Vinblastine and Vincristine compounds using High performance liquid chromatography technique (HPLC)were carried out. The results showed that the highest concentration of Vinblastine and Vincristine compounds were ( 4.653,12.5 (ppm /0.5 dry Wight respectively from transformed callus cells from MS 40 gm /L sucrose , 2 gm / L NAA Naphthaline acetic acid

    The buildup factor of cylindrical samples (shields) for Brass, Copper & lead (Brass, Cu, Pb (was studied, where buildup factor were calculated with thickness between (0-12) m.f.p. for Co60 and Cs137sources with activities (30) & (41) MBq respectively , using scintillation detector NaI(T?) with (3"×3")volume .The results shows increases of buildup factor for low atomic number(Z) samples where the energy of radiation source was constant, also shows increases of buildup factor with decreases the energy of radiation source. An empirical equation was obtained using Matlab7 program this equation have agreements with most obtained data for 96%
