The population of the study was 182 business educators in tertiary institutions in Edo and Delta States. There was no sampling since the population was manageable. The descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The instrument used was validated by three experts. Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation coefficient was used to compute the reliability of the instrument which yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.71. The questionnaire was the instrument used for the data collection. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics. Means were used to answer all the research questions. The results of the analysis showed that employers empowered their employees to a very low extent; employers rewarded their employees to a high extent, employers redesigned employees’ jobs to low extent, and employers created flexible jobs for their employees to a  low extent. Consequently, it was recommended among others that workers should be sufficiently empowered to give higher performance and more productivity as it would  also go a long way  in  reducing  attrition rate, The use of verbal praise and  allowing workers’ personal development should be given priority attention by management to enhance higher productivity;  management should redesign tasks/jobs from time to time so as to enhance motivation, job satisfaction and  commitment to reduce absenteeism and turnover; and management, as a matter of urgency, should create flexible jobs/tasks by allowing workers to control their work hours as well as allowing a portion of scheduled hours to be completed outside of their office so as to reduce boredom and work monotony

This correlational research is aimed at determining the relationship between HIV/AIDS awareness and adolescents’ involvement in sexual relationships. The study was carried out in Cross River State. Three research questions guided the conduct of the research, while three null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 alpha level. All the 6449 SS2 students in  the 18 public secondary schools in Calabar Municipality and Ogoja Local Government Areas constituted the population of the study. The sample used consisted of SS 2 students who were randomly drawn from ten secondary schools. The instrument for the data collection was a questionnaire named HIV/AIDS Awareness and Adolescents’ Involvement in Sexual Relationships Questionnaire (HAAISRQ). One expert each in Health Education, Educational Psychology and Measurement and Evaluation validated the instrument. The reliability coefficient scores of 0.84 and 0.86 for HIV/AIDS awareness and involvement in sexual relationships were respectively obtained through the test-re-test method. The data collected were analysed using simple percentage, Pearson product Moment Correlation and t-test. The results obtained from the data analyses showed that there was a significant relationship between  urban and rural secondary schools. It was further found that students in urban secondary schools were more involved in sexual relationships than their rural counterparts. It was recommended, among other things that more HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns should be done in the rural secondary schools  while guidance and counseling services should be provided in all secondary schools and sexuality education should also be introduced in all our secondary schools

Mean and standard deviation were used to answer questions 1 and 2, while the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was used to test the hypothesis. The findings revealed that the level of principals’ supervisory role and school effectiveness was high. In the same vein, a positive correlation existed between principals’ supervisory role performance and school effectiveness. A descriptive survey research design was adopted using a proportional sampling technique to select fifty five 300 level and sixty six 400 level Social Science Education undergraduates in the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Education, Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. A four point Likert scale research instrument titled “Questionnaire on Awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (QASDGs)” was developed for use in collecting the data for the study. The face and content validity of the instrument was established by two experts in Test and Measurement in the Department of Educational Foundations, Niger Delta University. Test-retest was adopted to check for the consistency of the instruments which gave reliability coefficient of 0.78. The data collected were analysed using Arithmetic mean to answer research question one while independent t-test statistic was adopted to test the two null hypotheses. The findings revealed, among others, that the awareness level of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among Social Science Education pre-service teachers was moderate. Other findings were that the awareness level of Goal number 15 was low with a mean less than 2.5.  It was on the basis of the findings that the study recommended that courses in Social Science Education should incorporate elements of Goal No 1

The primary purpose of this study was to identify teachers’ knowledge of teaching techniques and how they were applied in Early Childhood education, whether their qualifications contributed to their knowledge and effective use of teaching techniques as well as the areas they found challenging in the discharge of their duties. The study was anchored on the play theory by Jean Piaget. Using the survey method and with the aid of a questionnaire as an instrument, the researcher sampled the opinions of 53 teachers purposively selected from 10 schools in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.  The findings showed that the teachers were fully aware of teaching techniques. The techniques or methods commonly used were play-way, demonstration, activity method, dramatization and role playing method. Also, the act of questioning was mostly applied and they adopted whatever technique that helped them to deliver the lessons. Majority of the respondents also admitted that the knowledge of subject matter contributes to the effective use of teaching techniques. Based on the findings, recommendations were made that government and other regulatory bodies should ensure that only professionally qualified teachers were recruited to teach Early Childhood Education. The teachers need to constantly acquaint themselves with subject matter that they teach since the knowledge of subject matter contributes to knowledge and application of teaching techniques. It was also recommended that teachers should be humble enough to invite professionals to help them in areas where they have difficulty instead of adopting any method that seems right to them. They should always consult, collaborate with or seek for assistance from experienced teachers
