Sukavichinomics: Thailand’s Preschool and Primary Education Reforms (1995–1997) and Progress Toward Education for All
Between 1995 and 1997 Thailand underwent a profound educational transformation under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education His Excellency Mr SukavichRangsitpol Rooted in a peoplecentered development paradigm these reforms emphasized universal access to preschool and primary education especially among underserved populations Central to this vision was the expansion of public early childhood centers from only 74 in 1995 to 3 470 by 1997 and the integration of preschool into a holistic national education strategy Thailand s education policy during this period laid the groundwork for the Education for All framework with reforms encompassing school infrastructure teacher recruitment curriculum enhancement and administrative decentralization These reforms laid the institutional and legal foundations for Thailand s shift to a rights-based people-centered education system enshrined in the 1997 Constitution The success of these initiatives garnered international recognition and offers a compelling model for emerging economies navigating the intersection of equity decentralization and educational qualit
Exploring Factors Influencing ICT Integration in Urban Mathematics Classrooms: Insights from Bangladesh
Considering the vast potential of ICT in the education sector the Government of Bangladesh like many other countries has significantly emphasized incorporating ICT into education Despite various initiatives taken by the government teachers encounter multiple challenges while trying to integrate ICT into their teaching and learning practices This study aims to explore the barriers that mathematics teachers face when conducting classes with the help of ICTs This study adopted a multiple case study research design considering two cases one from a government school and the other from a private school in Dhaka city In this study the ICT-facilitated classroom the math teacher of that classroom and the head teacher served as the units of analysis Data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews By analyzing the data thematically this study identifies teachers attitudes TPACK confidence students attitudes home environment curriculum technical physical and financial support as the dominating factors that affect teachers integration of ICTs in their mathematics teaching and learning practices Some suggestions are provided for educators policymakers and curriculum developers to help overcome these challenge
ChatGPT in Moroccan Education Sector: Examining the Attitude of Student Acceptance and Usage Intent
Purpose The purpose of this research is to examine the variables that contribute to favorable attitudes toward ChatGPT within Moroccan society It also seeks to investigate how this affects Morocco s attitudes toward ChatGPT and their intentions to use this technolog The study attempts to determine what influences students decisions to use ChatGPT by comprehending these factors Design Methodology Approach The study utilized a structured questionnaire to gather data from 286 students across various universities in Morocco Using structural equation modeling SEM Findings The findings from the study provide insight into the significant variables influencing students about using ChatGPT First of all when students believe ChatGPT will be reliable and helpful for their academic needs they are more likely to accept it and use it This shows that students attitudes are significantly shaped by their perceptions of ChatGPT s benefits and credibility Interestingly factors like social norms digital literacy and instructors AI skills Religiosity do not seem to strongly influence students willingness to use ChatGPT Practical Implications The results demonstrate how widely ChatGPT is accepted by Moroccan respondents It highlights how important it is to raise ChatGPT s perceived value and credibility in order to increase student adoption and usage To fully realize ChatGPT s educational benefits educational institutions should carefully integrate it into their curriculum while guaranteeing its dependability Originality Value While recents research has examined the variables influencing students attitudes and intentions of using ChatGPT and their possible effects This study is the first of its kind to try to look into this relationship in the setting of a developing collectivist society like Morocc
Bail in Counter-Terrorism Law: Legislative Embargo and Judicial Response
Bail is an issue of serious concern in the discourse of counter-terrorism law owing to the looming threat of the crime protection of witnesses and tampering with evidence The bail provision provides additional restrictions for the courts in granting bail as it requires the court to prima facie determine the guilt innocence of the accused based on the evidence in the police report and case diary If courts entertain a reasonable belief as to the guilt of the accused on the basis of the police report and case diary bail would be refused Courts use judicial minimalism and avoid constitutional scrutiny while the bail mechanism under the UA P Act serves as a vehicle for the indefinite detention of the accused throwing the importance of expeditious trial to perpetual oblivion The Article concludes that the statutory impediment created against bail robs the lower court of its discretion when the same is expected to serve as a first line of defence against erosion of right

Assessment of Satisfaction of Students and Economic Units Regarding the Implementation of Dual Education
As part of the research the authors aimed to present the results of monitoring the implementation of dual education in the Republic of Moldova based on a survey conducted among students enrolled in dual education as well as economic units companies involved in delivering this form of education The research also included an analysis of the provisions of the national regulatory framework governing dual education as well as international experiences in implementing dual education systems Given that in recent times the authorities in the Republic of Moldova have focused on increasing the number of students enrolled in dual education it is important to assess the satisfaction of the direct beneficiaries of this system students and economic units in order to provide insights into the quality of its implementation and to anticipate potential implementation risks We believe that the findings presented in this paper will be of interest both to those currently involved in dual education and to students who may choose this form of Vocational Education and Training VET in the future Considering the positive feedback received from students and economic units that participated in the research the material presented in this publication may also serve as an additional argument for encouraging more companies to engage in dual education Moreover we consider that the research findings may serve as examples of good practices for the implementation of VET policies at both national and international level
Accountability of Digital Platforms in the Brazilian Supreme Court: A Critical Discourse Analysis of Jovem Pans Narrative
His article examines the discursive representation of the news outlet Jovem Pan regarding the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court s STF decision to reinterpret Article 19 of the Civil Rights Framework for the Internet which holds digital platforms accountable for third-party content The study employs Critical Discourse Analysis Fairclough 2019 in dialogue with authors such as Gramsci and Althusser to investigate how journalistic discourse shapes meanings around digital regulation Transcripts of Jovem Pan s videos disseminated across multiple platforms were analyzed focusing on lexical choices rhetorical strategies and discursive practices Findings show that the coverage is structured around a negative evaluative vocabulary private censorship institutional threat blow against freedom a systematic use of epistemic modality to dramatize potential risks selective intertextuality privileging dissenting voices and war-like metaphors framing the STF as an enemy of civil society The study concludes that Jovem Pan operates as an ideological media apparatus reinforcing a neoliberal hegemony of digital communication in which freedom of expression is mobilized as an absolute individual value while the corporate responsibility of big tech companies is rendered invisible The research highlights the need to advance counterhegemonic alternatives that integrate freedom of expression with democratic regulation of digital platform
Reinventing the Brazilian Sign Language Interpreter
This article presents a critical reflection on the evolving role of the Brazilian Sign Language Translator and Interpreter TIL within the national education system Adopting a historical lens it traces the trajectory from the early days of predominantly voluntary and community-based interpreting particularly in religious contexts to the current phase marked by professionalization through academic training and legal recognition The discussion explores the implications of this transition for the interpreter s relationship with the Deaf community the quality of linguistic mediation and the multifaceted demands of both technical and emotional preparedness in educational settings The article contends that the interpreter s role must transcend mere technical neutrality assuming an ethical cultural and transformative stance in promoting linguistic accessibility and inclusive education for Deaf student
