    José Querino Ribeiro and the Foundations of Public School Administration in Brazil

    The field of Public School Administration as an area of study in Brazil began to take shape in the early twentieth century Jos Querino Ribeiro is widely recognized as the scholar who laid the foundational groundwork for this discipline publishing his first book on the subject in 1938 In this seminal work he introduced key conceptual definitions such as those for administration cooperation and coordination that would become central to the field His theoretical framework was notably influenced by Henri Fayol s general theory of administration Querino Ribeiro s impact on school administration in Brazil extended through the 1950s and was significantly reinforced with the publication of his landmark work Ensaio de uma teoria da administra o escolar 1952 which remains one of the most influential contributions to the field This article examines the administrative theory developed by the Brazilian scholar across two seminal works highlighting their foundational role in establishing Public School Administration as a multidisciplinary field of research in Brazil The study employed a qualitative approach grounded in textual evidence analyzed through the methodological framework of Content Analysis The primary conclusion indicates that Querino Ribeiro s theoretical contributions have not only shaped the academic discipline and advanced scholarly inquiry in the field but have also influenced the professional practices of public school principals across Brazil to the present da

    This paper examines the intersection of biolinguistic theories and early childhood education emphasising how biological predispositions and environmental factors influence language acquisition Biolinguistic theories posit that humans are biologically equipped to learn language but the environment plays a role in shaping language skills The review examines current research on the biological foundations of language development including the role of Universal Grammar critical periods and brain plasticity Additionally it discusses how pedagogical practices such as interactive reading social interaction and bilingual education enhance language learning By integrating these biological and pedagogical perspectives this paper aims to inform strategies in early childhood education that foster language acquisition and literacy The findings suggest that early rich linguistic environments are vital for maximising language development particularly for children from disadvantaged backgrounds Further research is needed to refine pedagogical practices in diverse cultural and educational context

    Over the more than 50 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China various political economic cultural and educational initiatives have been strengthened as part of South-South cooperation Among the institutional partnerships between the two countries exchanges of experiences in teaching research and university management have brought the academic communities of the University of Pernambuco UPE and the Central University of Finance and Economics CUFE closer together This collaboration has materialized in projects such as the Confucius Institute and the organization of thematic seminars for sharing educational ideas among the academic communities of these institutions Using a qualitative approach we analyzed the outcomes of the seminars hosted by UPE and CUFE alongside the enhancement of educational digitalization From our analysis we observed that the use of educational methodologies and information technologies such as distance learning and artificial intelligence played a crucial role in addressing demands across various socio-cultural sectors in both countrie

    Nozick disagrees arguing that Rawls theory contradicts fundamental individual rights particularly the right to property For Nozick any state-enforced redistribution is an infringement on individual liberty He advocates for a minimal state whose sole mission is to protect these rights without interfering in the distribution of wealth which he believes should be left to market dynamics This analysis highlights the limitations of Nozick s view of justice which by rejecting any state intervention leads to increased social inequalities His approach aligns with a neoliberal logic that prioritizes individualism at the expense of social justice Thus a minimal state is ineffective since under the guise of defending freedom it actually perpetuates social imbalance

    In the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries constant scientific and technological advances have brought about a number of improvements in the material conditions of existence and an immense transformation of social relations but with many harmful effects For this reason we need to consider the role and importance of spiritual aspects which go far beyond the material aspects of existence for health well-being and quality of life In this sense this research aimed to understand how the life skills proposed by the WHO can contribute to reducing the harmful effects on health and wellbeing of contemporary social transformations and increase quality of life The general objective was to verify the statistical consistency of the CEVS inventory created with the aim of understanding the relationship between life skills and components of quality of life and emotional awareness This was an action research project which aimed not only to understand the dynamics of the problem but also to develop possible interventions to alleviate and or resolve it The research was submitted to the ethics committee and approved after meeting all the requirements The inventory was found to be consistent by statistical analysis but further refinement is needed As this was an action research project this result indicated the ability of the CEVS inventory to obtain relevant data to guide and improve intervention activities and increase quality of life health and well-bein
