An Efficient Image Encryption Algorithm for the Period of Arnold's CAT Map
Arnold's CAT Map (ACM) is a chaotic transformation of the 2-dimensional toral automorphism T^2 defined by the mapping Γ ∶ T^2 → T^2. There are many applications of ACM in various research areas such as: steganography, encryption of images, texts and
watermarks. The transformation of an image is achieved by the randomized order of pixels. After a finite number of repetitions of the transformation, the original image reappears. In this study, encryption of two images is demonstrated together with a proposed algorithm.
Moreover, the periodicity of ACM is discussed and an algorithm to change the period of ACM is suggested. The resultant period obtained from the new algorithm is compared with the period obtained from the usual ACM. The results show that the period of the proposed
algorithm grows exponentially while the period of ACM has an upper bound

Do it Yourself (DIY) Movement in Urban Space Production
Kentleşme çoğu zaman planlı gerçekleşse de kimi zaman çeşitli aktörlerin spontane müdahaleleri ile şekillenmektedir. Bu çalışma bunlardan ikincisi olan yani kentlerde kendiliğinden gerçekleşen küçük ölçekli uygulamaları ele almaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı ‘kendin yap kentleşmesi’ (DIY Urbanism) ya da ‘taktiksel kentleşme’ (Tactical Urbanism) adıyla bilinen bu hareketlerin örneklerini aktörleri ve amaçları açısından incelemek ve bu uygulamaların kentsel mekâna ve kentleşme sürecine etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirebilmek için literatür taraması, medya araştırması, gözlem ve örnek inceleme araştırma teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulguları bu hareketlere dâhil olan aktörlerin mahalleliler, aktivist gruplar, kamu kurumları veya belediyeler, üniversiteler, özel girişimciler ve diğer şahıslar olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu uygulamaların en belirgin amaçları bir ihtiyacın giderilmesi, kentsel estetik veya sanat arayışı, şahsi veya ticari fayda sağlama ve çeşitli konularda verilen tepkiler olarak bulunmuştur. Kendin yap kentleşmesinin olumlu yanları kentsel mekânı daha yaşanabilir, yürünebilir ve kullanıcıya uygun hale getirme ve güzelleştirme olasılığının olması, kentleşme sürecine kullanıcıların
doğrudan katılımını sağlaması ve pratik, uygulanabilir ve esnek çözümler getirmesi olarak saptanmıştır. Bunların yanında izinsiz eylemler olması ve kapsayıcı planlama kararlarıyla entegrasyon sorunları gibi olumsuz yanları da bulunmaktadır .Even though urbanism is usually realized within a plan, it is sometimes formed by spontanous interventions of various actors. This study deals with the second type that includes small scale practices spontaneously realized in cities. The aim of this study is to examine the examples of these movements, which are known as ‘do it yourself urbanism’ (DIY urbanism) or ‘tactical urbanism’, in terms of their actors and purposes and to put forward the effects of these practices on urban space and urbanism process. To manage this aim, research techniques including literature review, media search, observation and case studies are used. The findings of this study shows that the actors involved in these movements are local people, activist groups, public institutions or municipalities, universities, private entrepreneurs and other individuals. It is found that the main purposes of these practices are resolving a need, providing urban easthetics or art, taking advantage of private or commercial benefits and reacting to various issues. The positive aspects of do it yourself urbanism are determined as having the possibility of beautifying and making urban space more livable, walkable and user friendly, providing direct participation of users in urbanism process and proposing practical, implementable and flexible solutions. Besides, there are negative aspects such as being illegal activities and having integration problems with comprehensive planning decisions

Companies are experimenting with various techniques to market their products and deliver them to more people. The advertisement is one of them. Through various channels, the product is advertised with paid or free of charge, so that masses are informed about the product.
In the world of academia, the readability and availability of publications, which are the most basic products of academicians, gain importance from day by day. If the information remains on dusty shelves so this unreachable information is useless. Innovations offered by academic publications, the added value of literacy and the benefits to the society need to be accessible to a wider audience. Authors try to use various methods to make their publications reachable by a wider audience. Firstly, the authors put their publication on their web pages to increase their access. It is aimed both to list their publications and increase the number of addresses to be reached. The second method is sharing the publication in "Researchgate", "Academia" etc. web sites for the access of researchers interested in these issues. As there are more researchers on these platforms, publication becomes more useful and more likely to be cited. The third method is to share the publication itself or its link in social media platforms, such as "Linkedin", "Twitter", "Facebook" etc., which are not very related to the academic world. It is intended to increase the accessibility of publications by applying many more methods, such as these. Several years ago, "Academic Publishing Accessibility Optimization" methods, such as the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods that were launched to make websites more prominent and more accessible in search engines, are beginning to be developed. I do not know if this concept exists in the literature at the moment but it is certain that in the next period this concept will be in the life of the academic world.
