No full textMajeed Amjad, though belatedly, has been recognizedas anestablished poet of Urdu language. He has employed a uniquediction and style in his poetry associated to him only. He hassymbolized his surroundings and indigenous objects in hisverse. He has also widely used punctuation in his poetry. Hisusage of punctuation is meant to convey what otherwise wordsare supposed to. This article is a study of punctuation usages in Majeed Amjad's poetry.

He remained devoted to the noble principles of oneness of all religionsand universal brotherhood of man till the end of his life. He has exerted enormous influence on the beliefs and mental thinking of the people of Kashmir as a saint, revolutionary, patriot and poet.
