On the other hand, an accrual adjustment methodology is proposed and the conclusions are presented.Este investigación documental revisa la práctica de earning management identificando earning management en las empresas antes de salir a bolsa y su afectación en el precio de la acción, cuando los administradores afectan las compensaciones que se otorgan con el fin de aumentar sus beneficios en detrimento del valor de la empresa y estudios en donde no se aprecian prácticas de manipulación. Get PDFWe can’t deal with the ethical and economic consequences of the gender issues unless we are aware of this ideology. There is evidence of an outstanding performance of women in business what has been linked with a flexible femininity together with its attitudes and values demanded in today’s economy. Men’s studies on their part have shown a rigid masculinity that prevents many men from adapting to the business environment. This article reflects about the internalization of this ideology that shows resistance to media campaigns so we need to offer a specific gender training for managers and include gender education in schools. We need to go down to the level of the values and narratives internalized, encouraging reflexion, to expand our views and capabilities.Un insuficiente reconocimiento de la influencia de la ideología de género nos impide prevenir consecuencias negativas éticas y económicas. En el terreno del liderazgo existe evidencia de un mayor éxito de las mujeres empresarias que ha sido relacionado con una mayor flexibilidad de las mujeres, con actitudes y valores femeninos demandadas por la economía actual. Por su parte, los estudios sobre masculinidad muestran una estructura rígida y excluyente que lleva a la inadaptación de muchos hombres. Este artículo reflexiona sobre la naturalización, interiorización y resistencia ideológicas, planteando ir más allá de campañas mediáticas para la concienciación, necesitándose formación específica en género tanto a nivel empresarial como universitario y escolar. Necesitamos descender al nivel de los valores y las narrativas interiorizadas, fomentando la reflexión, para expandir la capacidad de visión y de acción.
Análisis empírico en México de estructuras de capital y su relación con las inversiones significativas
Get PDFThis study focuses on the Theories of Pecking Order and the Optimal Capital Structure (Also known as Tradeoff Theory). In relation with the theories mentioned above, previous studies described different hypothesis on financing decisions. This study, seeks to understand how companies in Mexico consider the different funding sources to invest in significant investments.The Event Study consideration is used to understand such financing decisions. The findings of this study support the Theory of Pecking Order, showing that significant investments in the shortterm are funded mainly by external sources and equity financing decisions are observed among companies that are financial constrained. This position leads to the search for different contexts in order to test the Optimal Capital Theory.Las Teorías del Pecking Order (Financiamiento Selectivo) y la Estructura Óptima de Capital, mencionan diferentes teoremas para las decisiones de financiamiento. El estudio busca comprender cómo las empresas en México consideran las diferentes fuentes de financiamiento para realizar inversiones significativas. La técnica de estudio de eventos es utilizada para analizar estas decisiones en empresas mexicanas. Las conclusiones del presente estudio apoyan la Teoría del Pecking Order, estableciendo que las inversiones significativas, en el corto plazo, se financian principalmente por fuentes externas y que el financiamiento de capital sólo se observa en las empresas que están limitadas financieramente. Esta postura conlleva a la búsqueda de diferentes contextos para la aplicación o rechazo de la Teoría de la Estructura Óptima de Capital

This has led to the steel industry in Mexico reaches a break point in their prices. Derived from the express request of the Mexican steelmakers to the Government for install more requirements and taxes on imports from China, apparently volumes have begun to decline according to reports from CANACERO (it´s acronym in Spanish, National Chamber of Iron and Steel Industry ) in 2016. With this information will proceeds to analysis the behavior of spot price of steel in Mexico for the next years.A principios del año 2011, las importaciones de acero chino en México empezaron a aumentar de manera desproporcionada a causa de que esta región asiática comenzó una sobreproducción de acero de bajo costo. Esto ha llevado a la industria del acero en México a un punto de quiebre en sus precios. Derivado de la petición expresa de las siderúrgicas mexicanas al gobierno para instalar más requisitos y aranceles sobre las importaciones procedentes de China, al parecer, los volúmenes han comenzado a disminuir según los informes de la CANACERO (por sus siglas en español, Cámara Nacional de la Industria del Hierro y del Acero) en 2016. Get PDFIn this article a literature review on the topic of leadership is presented, including the historical background of the term and how it has changed depending on the paradigm that dominated in every period of time. An analysis of the types of leadership under a systemic administration and the type of challenges faced by the leader is conducted. Similarly, two main subjects are analyzed, the first deals with the types of leadership that exist, and the second deals on the characteristics of leaders, the above based on the viewpoint of different authors. With the informationobtained a table was created. It shows the relationship between the two subjects, in which for each type of leader, leadership characteristics are listed. As a result, the main features are identified by the authors and considered relevant and essential for a leader.En el presente artículo se hace una revisión documental sobre el tema del liderazgo mencionando los antecedentes históricos del término y cómo ha ido cambiando éste dependiendo del paradigma que dominaba en cada época. Se incluye un análisis de los tipos de liderazgo ante la administración sistémica y los retos que el líder debe enfrentar con esta visión en mente. Del mismo modo se analizan de manera conjunta dos temas esenciales, el primero versa sobre los tipos de liderazgo que existen, y el segundo sobre las características de los líderes, lo anterior desde el punto de vista de diferentes autores. Con la información obtenida se creó una tabla, la cual muestra la relación entre los dos temas, donde para cada tipo de liderazgo se listan las características del líder. Como resultado se pueden identificar las principales características coincidentes que los autores atribuyen de relevancia y esenciales para un líder

Efectos de NAFTA, EUMFTA y la incorporación de China en el mercado mundial del pepino
Get PDFThis study empirically analyzed the potential effects of the complete operation of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), European Union and Mexico Free Trade Agreement (EUMFTA), and the integration of China to the World Trade Organization (WTO), on the cucumber world market. Special emphasis on the impact on Mexico was presented, from a worldwide perspective. A spatial equilibrium model with endogenous prices was constructed for this purpose. Among the findings are: (1) Mexican producers benefited from the complete implementation of NAFTA and EUMFTA. (2) The incorporation of China as a member of the WTO showed a negligible effect on the commercial flows and prices in the cucumber world market. (3) Mexican cucumber production is highly competitive, in the world market, because it has the lowest supply costs.Este estudio analiza empíricamente los efectos potenciales de la operación completa del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLCAN), Tratado de Libre Comercio de la Unión Europea y México (UMFTA), y la integración de China a la Organización Mundial de Comercio (OMC) en relación al mercado mundial del pepino. La calidad del servicio en el sistema de transporte público y su impacto en la satisfacción del usuario
Get PDFGiving an excellent service trough quality attributes has been the constant in most organizations, now that it has a direct impact in client’s satisfaction as a user of the services, and in the strategic results of the organization. This research study makes a contribution to the area of administration and business, as it measures the quality service and clients’ satisfaction of the public transportation system in Hermosillo, Sonora, México. This investigation is a quantitative type with a universe of study of 1296 transport users, to whom was applied a measurement instrument where were determined the dimensions or attributes with the highest impact in client´s satisfaction, through the Servperf (Service Performance) methodology. The analysis was carried out through an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), as well as a multiple linear regression technique. The dimensions evaluated were: Tangible, reliability, responsibility, assurance and empathy. The results of the estimation of multiple linear regression determine the importance, weight and value of each dimension in terms of satisfaction measured by the quality service given and for this study, indicate the areas that have to be attended and improved for the clients to be more satisfied with the service in terms of quality.El brindar un excelente servicio a través del atributo de la calidad, ha sido la constante en la mayoría de las empresas, ya que tiene un impacto directo en la satisfacción del cliente como usuario de los servicios y, en los resultados estratégicos de la organización. La presente investigación realiza un aporte al área de la administración y negocios, ya que mide la calidad del servicio y la satisfacción del usuario del sistema de transporte público en Hermosillo, Sonora, México. Esta investigación es de tipo cuantitativa con un universo de estudio de 1,296 usuarios del transporte, a los cuales se les aplicó un instrumento de medición donde se determinaron las dimensiones o atributos que más impactan en la satisfacción del cliente haciendo uso de la metodología Servperf (Service Performance). El análisis se llevó a cabo a través de un análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE); así como la técnica de regresión lineal múltiple. Las dimensiones evaluadas fueron: Tangibles, confiabilidad, responsabilidad, seguridad y, empatía. Los resultados de la estimación de regresión lineal múltiple determinan la importancia, peso y valor de cada dimensión en términos de satisfacción medido por la calidad del servicio otorgado y que, para este estudio, indican las áreas que se deben de atender y mejorar para que el usuario se sienta más satisfecho con el servicio en términos de calidad
