A comprehensive review of Maritime Bibliometric Studies (2014–2024)
A significant number of Maritime Bibliometric Studies (MBSs) have been published over the past years. The present research aims to evaluate a large amount of the relevant literature to characterize Maritime Industry Areas (MIAs). A bibliometric analysis of MBSs is conducted to evaluate important MBSs. The performed analysis examines the main features of each MBS, relationships between them, and their impact on the development of MIAs. A unique approach is developed based on a bibliometric methodology to study previously published MBSs through the performance analysis, trend analysis, statistical analysis, bibliographic coupling analysis, word clouds analysis, and conceptual thematic map analysis. To provide a high level of accuracy and reliability of mapping and analysis, various bibliometric software tools are used. The visibility and readability of the obtained results aim to establish the new pathways for bibliometric studies that could be easily applied to a broad spectrum of research areas. The outcomes of the conducted analysis confirm that MBSs present very accumulative research paths in MIAs with a continuous change in dynamics that well characterize this research domain and highlight the conceptual structure of MIAs. The findings showcase journal and publication trends, identified research topics and sub-topics, the main study attributes, and the most influential MBSs with the highest scholarly impact. Some interesting future research directions that can be explored for MBSs in the following years are comprehensively described. Last but not least, the important role of bibliometric methods for evaluation of the existing and future studies related to MIA applications is discussed in detail as well

Multi-Pollutant Formation and Control in Pressurized Oxy-Combustion: SO , NO , Particulate Matter, and Mercury
Oxy-combustion is a promising carbon-capture technology, but atmospheric-pressure oxy-combustion has a relatively low net efficiency, limiting its application in power plants. In pressurized oxy-combustion (POC), the boiler, air separation unit, flue gas recirculation unit, and CO2 purification and compression unit are all operated at elevated pressure; this makes the process more efficient, with many advantages over atmospheric pressure, such as low NOx emissions, a smaller boiler size, and more. POC is also more promising for industrial application and has attracted widespread research interest in recent years. It can produce high-pressure CO2 with a purity of approximately 95%, which can be used directly for enhanced oil recovery or geo-sequestration. However, the pollutant emissions must meet the standards for carbon capture, storage, and utilization. Because of the high oxygen and moisture concentrations in POC, the formation of acids via the oxidation and solution of SOx and NOx can be increased, causing the corrosion of pipelines and equipment. Furthermore, particulate matter (PM) and mercury emissions can harm the environment and human health. The main distinction between pressurized and atmospheric-pressure oxy-combustion is the former’s elevated pressure; thus, the effect of this pressure on the pollutants emitted from POC—including SOx, NOx, PM, and mercury—must be understood, and effective control methodologies must be incorporated to control the formation of these pollutants. This paper reviews recent advances in research on SOx, NOx, PM, and mercury formation and control in POC systems that can aid in pollutant control in such systems
Numerical Simulations for the Optimization of the Position of the Regenerative Burner System for Tundish Preheating
The paper presents the result of numerical simulations performed to optimize the position of burners and off-gas exit for a tundish preheating system. The optimization of the position of burner heads and off-gas exit at the tundish top cover has been done by application of StarCD CFD software for numerical simulations. 3D model of a tundish and its top cover consists of 300195 control volumes. Optimization of position for burner heads and off-gas exhaust at the tundish top cover brought a uniform temperature field inside the tundish refrac-tory layer during the transient preheating process with minimal fuel consumption
ПРОЈЕКТОВАЊЕ, ОБРАДА И ИНСПЕКЦИЈА ГЕОМЕТРИЈСКИХ КАРАКТЕРИСТИКА КВАЛИТЕТА КУЋИШТА РУЧНОГ САТА
Овај рад истражује везу часовничарске индустрије са производним машинством и производном метрологијом. Представљен је процес пројектовања ручног сата са свим његовим стандардним и недстандардним компонентама, као и брза израда његовог прототипа методом стереолитографије. Описана је машинска обрада кућишта сата на машини алатки, укључујући одређивање облика и димензија припремка, избор алата и режима обраде. Урађена је и симулација путање мерног пипка за визуелну инспекцију, верификацијa мерне путање и проверa колизије у софтверу „PTC Creo Parametric 8.0“, што је омогућило генерисање и DMIS фајла или улазне датотеке за реалну мерну машину. Резултат рада је пројектован нови ручни сат, машински обрађено кућиште сата и спроведена симулација геометријских карактеристика кавалитета кућишта.This research article explores the connection between the watchmaking industry, manufacturing engineering, and metrology. It presents the process of designing a wristwatch with all its standard and non-standard components and the rapid prototyping of its model using stereolithography. The machining process of the watch case on a CNC machine is presented, including the determination of the shape and dimensions of the workpiece, tool selection, and processing parameters. A simulation of the measurement probe's path for visual inspection, measurement path verification, and collision check was performed using the "PTC Creo Parametric 8.0" software, which enabled the generation of a DMIS file or input file for an actual measurement machine. The result of the work includes the design of a new wristwatch, the machined watch case, and the simulation of the geometric primitives of the wristwatch case
The use of metadiscourse markers in achieving persuasion in short advertisements written by ESP students
The paper focuses on the metadiscourse markers used with the aim of
persuasion in ESP student writing. The corpus consisted of 66 short advertisements
(8,611 tokens) written by the first-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering, University of Belgrade as part of their ESP course. Based on Hyland’s
model of metadiscourse, we analyse the frequency of use and different types of
metadiscourse markers in students’ advertisements. The aim is to explore whether ESP
students use MD markers to persuade the audience to try out a new welding technique.
The most frequently used markers overall were engagement markers, followed by
attitude markers, whereas the least frequent were frame markers and code glosses.
Interactional metadiscourse categories are used much more than the interactive ones,
both in the body of the advertisement and the slogans. Based on the obtained findings
on the use of MD markers in student-written advertisements, it can be concluded that
some students successfully kept up with the trends found in similar research of
advertisements written by experienced copywriters.U radu se bavimo metadiskursnim markerima koji se koriste sa ciljem ubeđivanja u esejima
studenata koji uče engleski jezik struke. Korpus na kome je izvršena analiza obuhvatio je 66 kratkih
reklamnih oglasa (8611 reči) koje su pisali studenti prve godine Mašinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u
Beogradu u okviru kursa engleskog jezika. Koristeći Hajlandov model metadiskursa, analizirali
smo učestalost upotrebe i različite tipove metadiskursnih markera u ovim reklamnim oglasima. Cilj
je bio da se istraži da li studenti koriste metadiskursne markere da ubede publiku da isproba novu
tehniku zavarivanja. Generalno gledano, najčešće korišćeni markeri bili su markeri angažovanja, a
za njima markeri stava, dok su najređi bili okvirni markeri i objašnjivači. Interakcioni metadiskurs
se koristi mnogo više od interaktivnog, kako u glavnom delu oglasa, tako i u sloganima. Na osnovu
dobijenih nalaza o upotrebi metadiskursnih markera u reklamnim oglasima koje su pisali studenti
koji uče engleski jezik struke, može se zaključiti da su neki studenti uspešno ispratili „trendove“
uočene u sličnim istraživanjima reklamnih oglasa koje su pisali iskusni pisci reklamnih tekstova
The ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider: a description of the detector configuration for Run 3
The ATLAS detector is installed in its experimental cavern at Point 1 of the CERN Large
Hadron Collider. During Run 2 of the LHC, a luminosity of L = 2 × 1034 cm−2 s−1 was routinely
achieved at the start of fills, twice the design luminosity. For Run 3, accelerator improvements, notably
luminosity levelling, allow sustained running at an instantaneous luminosity of L = 2×1034 cm−2 s−1,
with an average of up to 60 interactions per bunch crossing. The ATLAS detector has been upgraded
to recover Run 1 single-lepton trigger thresholds while operating comfortably under Run 3 sustained
pileup conditions. A fourth pixel layer 3.3 cm from the beam axis was added before Run 2 to improve
vertex reconstruction and �����-tagging performance. New Liquid Argon Calorimeter digital trigger
electronics, with corresponding upgrades to the Trigger and Data Acquisition system, take advantage
of a factor of 10 finer granularity to improve triggering on electrons, photons, taus, and hadronic
signatures through increased pileup rejection. The inner muon endcap wheels were replaced by
New Small Wheels with Micromegas and small-strip Thin Gap Chamber detectors, providing both
precision tracking and Level-1 Muon trigger functionality. Trigger coverage of the inner barrel
muon layer near one endcap region was augmented with modules integrating new thin-gap resistive
plate chambers and smaller-diameter drift-tube chambers. Tile Calorimeter scintillation counters
were added to improve electron energy resolution and background rejection. Upgrades to Minimum
Bias Trigger Scintillators and Forward Detectors improve luminosity monitoring and enable total
proton-proton cross section, diffractive physics, and heavy ion measurements. These upgrades are all
compatible with operation in the much harsher environment anticipated after the High-Luminosity
upgrade of the LHC and are the first steps towards preparing ATLAS for the High-Luminosity
upgrade of the LHC. This paper describes the Run 3 configuration of the ATLAS detector
CNC BRUSILICA ZA 3+2 OSNO BRUŠENJE PROFILNIH KOTURASTIH GLODALA SA LEMLJENIM PLOČICAMA OD TVRDOG METALA
Osnovu tehničkog rešenja čini CNC mašina sa tri translatorne pogonske ose i dodatim podeonim
aparatima. Upotrebom podeonih aparata, izbegnuta je upotreba obrtnih osnaženih pogonskih osa te se razvijena CNC mašina po svom konceptu razlikuje od postojećih i komercijalizovanih mašina iste namene. Pogonske ose Z i Y su ose kojima se omogućava kretanje alata (tocila) u dva pravca. Radni sto mašine ima mogućnost kretanja u pravcu ose X. Na radni sto mašine su postavljeni podeoni aparati kojima se obezbeđuje željena orijentacija obratka. Podeonim aparatima se omogućava obrtanje obratka oko ose Y i Z. Po analogiji sa petoosnim CNC mašinama obrtnim kretanjima su dodeljene oznake B i C. Prema datom opisu kinematička struktura razvijene CNC mašine namenjene za izradu profilnih glodala može se opisati strukturnom formulom C’B’X’OZY
