The Performance of Mutual Funds Manager for Stock Selection Investment
For a competent fund manager to ensure an extra risk-adjusted return over the long term, stock selection and market timing are essential skills. However, not all fund managers possess the same abilities. The current study attempts to identify the aforementioned traits in Indian multi-cap mutual fund managers by using four well-known models in this field: Jensen\u27s Alpha, Fama\u27s Decomposition of Return, the Treynor-Mazuy (unconditional) Model, and Henriksson-Merton (unconditional). Based on an analysis of the monthly returns of the chosen multi-cap funds using the BSE 500 as the market portfolio and the Public Provident Fund rate as the risk-free rate of return, the study came to the conclusion that the managers of the selected multi-cap funds did not exhibit any superior stock selection or market timing skills
Impact of Globalization on Indian Technology and Culture
Globalization has a significant impact on society at large. In every aspect of life, it has made its mark. Globally, people\u27s lifestyles and living standards have undergone a significant transition as a result of the exchange of world perspectives and ideas, not just in India. Indian culture is not a barrier to this process of development. The development of globalization has caused our deeply ingrained traditions and rituals to lose some of their hold. India has a long history of culture, and it is well known around the world for its cultural pride. In addition to fostering westernization in India, globalization has also had a positive impact on Indian culture around the world. A population within a geographic boundary can be distinguished from another by its culture and customs, which have special importance in relation to its uniqueness. Due to globalization, this individuality has been compromised to varying degrees. Such an influence is particularly noticeable when it occurs in a developing nation like India
The Geographical Distribution of Votes in Telangana\u27s MPTC Elections
The political processes that result from the developmental articulations across the spaces are frequently diverse. Although this takes place at the level of socioeconomic strata, or the spatial aggregate, the political process changes very quickly. Socioeconomic disparities between groups may lead to conflicts in the public sphere. The ability to acquire resources, the economic standing of the populace, and cultural modernisation all play a significant role in the differentiation of social groups. It is a fact that distinct levels of awareness have arisen as a result of progressive articulation across social groups. We frequently find research on age groups, occupational mobility, gender, religion, ethnicity, caste, etc. in the geographical literature. All of these categories are combined into hegemonic and subaltern groupings. Such articulations are really about having access to resources like land, water, forests, institutions, and public spaces. The electoral process will advance democracy, which will make it easier for marginalised people to access the public sphere. However, in the name of party structures and governmental efficiency, electoral practises oppose the radical social transformation. In fact, the election process provides scope for a range of issues that the general public faces. As a result, it often gives rise to various ideologies, with geographic space assuming a major role.Telangana\u27s regional, sub-regional, and local spaces are investigated in the research paper. Elections for the Mandal Parishad Teritorial Constituency (MPTC) were held in 2001, 2006, and 2014. It explores the regional variances in political engagement. In 2001, there were 5,425 MPTCs in Telangana. With a growth rate of 13.90% from the previous elections, the total number of MPTCs increased to 6,179 in 2006, and this number then increased to 6,475 in 2014. Farmers are suffering from economic hardship and killing themselves on a large scale in various provinces across the nation. Today, one of the critical issues that the government must address is the issue of farmer suicides.
Why Chalans Resistance? Protests by the Tea Plantation Labourers against the Britishers in the Nineteenth Century
The occupation of Assam by the British in the first half of the nineteenth century led Assam to be connected with the rest of India. Assam under the Company’s rule had seen its political consolidation by the British and economic expansion with new industries. The Company did not waste time to look into the economic prospects of the region and initiated explorations to search for new possibilities, tea industry being one of them. The success of the experiments with the tea plantations largely depended on the quality of labour which is employed. The tea companies had to brought labourers from outside as Assam was highly depopulated at that time. This with other developments in the region had transformed the economy and society of Assam and in course of time the people of Assam developed a feeling of being exploited by the colonial rule. The tea plantation labourers were not the one to be left alone by this consciousness of anti-imperialism. There emerged a strong anti-colonial and political awareness amongst the plantation labourers which culminated into a series of protests by them in the nineteenth century
An Empirical Study on Capital Structure in Small and Medium Enterprises
Small and Medium industries are significant industries for industrialized and less developed nations, contributing to economic creation and employment. The sector employs millions of people across the world and is dominated by a high number of small and medium-sized enterprises. But globalization, intense rivalry, the revolution in information technology, and the increasing sophistication of customers are creating a strain on small and medium value chains. Over the last decade, the industry has faced the problems of fluctuating customer demands, short product lifecycles, and limited predictability. Delivering low-cost high-quality goods in a shorter amount of time are the greatest challenge for the SME’s. Therefore, it is vital to alter and enhance the current production by utilizing tactics that meet the needs of worldwide customers. However, manufacturers confront significant obstacles in deploying new systems, including limited financial resources, a lack of employees and time, little or no experience, and low confidence. Manufacturing is a complicated process, and capital generation is an important part of it. But due to many logistical, financial, and other issues, many firms fail to fulfill the necessities of the situation and thus incur losses. The need to incorporate the production process with lead time management can minimize the time wasted because of technical glitches and sampling issues and generate more capital for the enterprise
