Prevention Service for Fraudulent and Non Fraudulent Payments using Online Payment
Get PDFIn the era of rapid Internet technological advancement, the scale of online transactions is incessantly expanding. Concurrently, the issue of network transaction fraud has attained heightened significance. In contrast to credit card transactions, online transactions exhibit characteristics such as low cost, extensive coverage, and high frequency, rendering fraud detection a notably intricate challenge. This paper addresses the complexities associated with fraud detection in online transactions by proposing two distinct algorithms: one based on a Fully Connected Neural Network and the other utilizing XGBoost. These algorithms demonstrate commendable performance, with AUC values reaching 0.912 and 0.969, respectively.
Furthermore, to operationalize these advancements, an interactive online transaction fraud detection system has been meticulously designed based on the XGBoost model. This system autonomously analyzes uploaded transaction data and promptly delivers fraud detection results to users. The integration of advanced algorithms and the development of a user-friendly system underscore the commitment to addressing the nuanced challenges posed by online transaction fraud in an efficient and effective manner
Micro and Macro Economic Factors and their Association with Mutual Fund Selection by the Investors
Get PDFMutual fund industry in India has revealed a significant growth since its inception in the year 1963 even then it is far behind the developed as well as most of the emerging markets operating globally. One of the most important functions of the mutual fund industry is to mobilize the savings of the households and park their small savings in capital assets with the aim to provide them better risk adjusted return. The present study has tried to find out the association between micro and macro economic factors and the investor’s decision regarding mutual fund investment. The empirical study is based on both primary data. To collect primary data a questionnaire was developed and administered on the investors. Outcomes of the study revealed that with the exception of tax savings, there is a substantial correlation between an investor\u27s choice of fund and all other microeconomic characteristics considered . The findings also indicate a strong correlation between the investor\u27s choice of investment fund and every macroeconomic element considered. It was determined that there is a substantial relationship between fund selection and each scale item

Analysis of Groundwater Quality and Design of Low-Cost Water Purifier
Get PDFThe small portion of available fresh water for human consumption is being contaminated by various anthropogenic sources at a very alarming rate. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water pollution is one of many types of pollution which results from contaminants being introduced into the natural environment. Pollution causes adverse change. Pollution of groundwater can occur from on-site sanitation systems, landfills, effluents from wastewater treatment plants, petrol filling stations, leaching sewers, or over-application of fertilizers in agriculture. With this view, an attempt was made to assess the quality of groundwater in the rural area near Vijayawada by examining various physicochemical parameters such as colour, turbidity, odour, pH, total dissolved solids, alkalinity, hardness, chloride, fluoride, iron, and magnesium to check the suitability of water for human consumption. In this work, samples of water were collected and various parameters regarding the water quality were analysed &compared with Indian Standards: 10500 (Drinking water specifications) to check the acceptability of water for drinking purposes. Further, an attempt is also made to design a low-cost groundwater purifier that works on the process of adsorption using naturally available materials.

This paper deals with reducing of all above problems by fabricating a “MULTI-PURPOSE OPERATION MACHINE”. This machine is designed for the purpose of multi operations i.e. drilling, cutting and grinding of a thin metals as well as wooden blocks. And can perfume multi operations at the same time with required electricity as it is pedaled. This machine is based on the mechanism of power transmission through bevel gears, chain drives. This multi operation machine is used in small scale industries and domestic operations

The ultimate aim of this research was to ascertain a service provider for the road haulage activities of GMC, the Ghana Manganese Company as a case study and also to aid in the restructuring of the company’s business strategy model using the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution TOPSIS approach. In addition, the shipping and logistics manager of the case company emphasized that the four selection criteria comprising “Cost of delivery”, “compatibility”, “reputation”, and “certification” should be given due consideration as a priority among the other criterion for selection and scrutiny process. As a result, it will be efficient and responsive for the researcher to simulate a best service provider for the road haulage activities of Ghana Manganese Company

Role and Performance Evaluation of NFRA as Independent Regulator - A Case Departing Power or Conflict with ICAI
Get PDFThe National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) constituted on 01 October 2018 under section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 with the objective of constituting independent regulator for the auditing function to improve the transparency and reliability of the financial statements. The ICAI is set up under the The Institute of Chartered Accountant Act 1949 with the entrusted task of formulating accounting and auditing standards in India. The objective of the paper to examine the role and performance of NFRA in the light of the presence of ICAI as existing monitoring body of accounting and auditing profession. The paper analysed the cases and reports submitted in the recent past by both the regulatory body. The gross violations of the accounting and auditing standards reported by NFRA are the eye opener. The paper concludes that the two body should work together to evolve improving quality of accounting and auditing standards in practice in India.
