Abstract Aim To explore the mothers' experiences, motivation, challenges, and recommendations regarding the child adoption and induced lactation programs in February 2022. Method This qualitative exploratory study used a focus group with purposively recruited adoptive mothers. The data were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic analysis within the Grounded Theory approach. Result Ten women benefited from the adoption and induced-lactation program. Three main themes emanated from the analysis: The current perceptions regarding child adoption, experience, and practices, the child adoption process, facilitators, and challenges as well as the adoption with the induced lactation process, awareness, and challenges. In general, the mothers had a positive experience with the child adoption and induced lactation programs. They did highlight the need to review the adoption process, the facilitators, how to overcome challenges, and raise the awareness of child adoption by induced lactation. Conclusion This study explored the adoptive mother's experience, facilitators, and challenges with a child adoption and induced lactation. It could increase the awareness of decision-makers to review the adoption process and increase awareness about adoption by induced lactation in mothers, families, and the communities

Background: Blood is believed to be a different type of creature tissue. Regardless of the way that there are around 400 blood gathering antigens that might be accounted for, ethnos and Rh are the most clinically applicable blood classification antigens that are known to contrast starting with one populace then onto the next. The reason for this review was to view at the recurrence of those boundaries just as the centralization of haemoproteins.Materials and Procedures: The Department of Physiology, Patna Medical College, Patna, Bihar, India, embraced a cross-sectional scientific, lab put together review with respect to the relationship between ethnos blood classification, Rh variable, and haemoprotein fixation in MBBS understudies from Gr.Result: The exploration included 280 young men and 120 females matured 16 to 25. The blood classification O has the best level of students (36%), trailed by blood classifications A (34%), B (22%), and C (22%). The level of students with blood classification AB is just impacted on Valentine's Day. Male and female students have a similar blood classification. The p-esteem is 0.200, which is altogether more noteworthy than the edge of 0.05. There was no distinction between rhesus monkey positive and rhesus monkey negative students with an ethnos blood classification framework p worth of zero.77. Rh-positive blood classifications represent 56% of female understudies, though Rh-negative blood classifications represent 40% of female understudies. Conclusion: We can ready to suggest regular admission of an iron and nutrient rich eating regimen, just as their enhancements, to people who are more inclined to weakness, in

The novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the cause of coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) pandemic, is associated with some cutaneous manifestations. This novel disease is associated mostly with significant morbidity and mortality. While the cutaneous presentations of COVID-19 are infrequent, it is of great importance for all clinicians to be aware of these manifestations, as it may contribute to sooner and better diagnosis and management of the disease, even in asymptomatic or paucisymptomatic patients. Although known to primarily cause interstitial pneumonia and respiratory failure, there are several important dermatologic components in adults that clinicians must be aware of. The reported cutaneous manifestations of COVID-19 are various, dispersed, and sometimes confusing. The aim of this review was to collate and categorize the dermatologic findings reported in adult patients with COVID-19 and identify specific lesions that may facilitate diagnosis and prognostication

IntroductionPolycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrinal disorder among females of reproductive age, which causes- hirsutism, Oligomenorrhea and infertility. It generally occurs in the female ageing between 12–44 years. Some studies show that it is a lifestyle disorder, which affects women of middle and high-income population. It causes hormonal imbalance and certain physical changes. Management of PCOS can be achieved by medication, lifestyle changes, exercises, or surgical method. It has a high risk of miscarriages and during pregnancy, women are at a high risk to develop Gestational diabetes, hypertension. Significant disparities in the different domains of the SF–36 between PCOS and healthy controls were observed in several categories of age, BMI, educational status, and marital status. Increased BMI, menstrual abnormalities, educational status, and marital status all play a role in affecting quality related to life in PCOS patients, and psychological support must be provided throughout treatment. Conclusion This article concludes about PCOS– its symptoms, causes, leads to, treatment and PCOS Pregnancy. The difference between PCOS and PCOD is also mentioned, which gives a brief differentiation between both the conditions. The goal is to help people understand what actually PCOS means and to enhance people to take preferable steps to suppress the condition and one should consult a gynaecologist if they have shown-up any symptom(s)

    NMR spectroscopy-based metabolomics: A review

    Get PDF
A field of life science research that uses High Throughput (HT) technologies to identify and/or characterize all the small molecules or metabolites in a given cell, tissue or organism (i.e., the metabolome) is called metabolomics. The first NMR based metabolic studies were carried out by Wilson and Burlingame in the year 1974. NMR is one of the most selective analytical techniques which offer structural information of molecules. The NMR workflow is as follows: Sample preparationàSample loading and spectral acquisitionàSpectral processingàSpectral deconvolutionàData interpretation. Future work is expected to build upon core strengths of NMR Spectroscopy, which includes its versatility and specificity in the form of 1D and higher dimensional spectra, its reproducibility, its quantitative ability, its capability for following chemical reactions and flux, its ability to identify compounds and deduce structures of unknowns, and its growing potential for collecting metabolomics data in vivo

OBJECTIVES: We tested whether Tumor necrosis factor-alpha, Interlukin-1β, and lipid profile might be associated with suicide attempts in adult patients with major depression. DESIGN AND METHODS: Plasma levels of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha, Interleukin-1β, and lipid profile were analyzed in 60 adult patients with major depression diagnosed according to DSM-IV criteria for Major depression (22 suicidal attempters and 38 patients without suicidal ideas), and 30 healthy controls. RESULTS: At univariate analyses, plasma level of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha and Triglyceride were significantly higher in suicide attempters and non-suicidal attempter depressed patients than those of healthy control (all

Severe ulcerative colitis associated with coombs positive autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) response to infliximab

Autoimmune Haemolytic Anemia is rarely associated with Ulcerative Colitis, and counts for just 0.2-0.7% of adult patient. It is a complication that is present by having a positive coombs test which account for only 1.82% in a patient with ulcerative colitis without any haemolytic evidence.Hence there is only one case report has published the effective response to infliximab by both rare combined conditions. Here we report the second case of sever ulcerative colitis associated with coombs positive autoimmune Haemolytic Anaemia (AIHA) response to infliximab

Bombay blood group: A rare blood group

    Get PDF
Bombay blood group or Hh, is a rare blood group. It is mostly found in south Asia and parts of middle East such as Iran This consists on antigen, the H antigen, this is effectively found on all RBCs. The H antigen is the building block for the production of the antigen within the ABO blood group. Normally, it is believed that the rare blood group is O negative, which is only found in selected people only. But the rarest blood group that is found in any one of millions of people is Hh blood group. This blood group was first discovered in Bombay in India by Dr. Y.M. Bhende in 1952. Anti-H has not been discovered in the ABO group, but it has been detected in the Pre transfusion Test. This H antigen works as a building block in the ABO blood group. The lack of H antigen is known as ";Bombay phenotype"; or para- Bombay phenotype. The number of H antigens present in body is 1 and the gene name is Fucosyltransferase 1. This blood group is not stored in blood banks because it is rare and its shelf life of blood is 35-42 days

    Get PDF
The most recent clinical level research across Australasian region were focused on the usage of adjuvants in the treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumors, usage of imatinib, ibrutinib and BTK inhibitor in cases of lymphoma and laproscopy techniques for rectal neoplasms. Over the past few years, the incidence of cancer including gastrointestinal tumors and the rectal cancer has become emerging public health concern particularly among the working age adults in countries of Australia and New Zealand. The incidence of cancer types associated with the gastrointestinal track are due to higher level of alcohol consumption, intake of red meat and processed meat and higher incidence of obesity. The treatment of these form of cancers are often invasive and could potentially affect their employment by way of reduced working hours and earning and discontinuation of other socio-economic activities. These ramifications lead to financial burden and psychological stress for cancer survivors affecting not only the quality of life but also their economic security
