Experiencias de trabajo asociativo de reciclado en el Gran Buenos Aires (2004-2014)
Get PDFThis paper addresses the implications of the theoretical approach we choose to analyze the discourses of stakeholders in qualitative fieldwork. As part of this reflection I tackled the theoretical assumptions behind “action” versus “experience articulation” analytical traditions. The evidence presented was collected from 2004 to 2014 while accompanying the design, construction and management of a “social plant” for residues classification placed on “Reconquista Area”, in northeast of Great Buenos Aires. Along this decade I combined traditional qualitative approach with action research, which permitted to register the changes and transformations in the discourses about the “social plant”. My hypothesis is that these variations can be explained not only by context´s fluctuations but transformations in social actor’s subjectivities, which are reflected both in their positions among themselves and the narratives about their own stories.En este trabajo reflexiono acerca del modo en que abordamos los discursos que recogemos en el trabajo de campo. Como parte de este recorrido pongo de relieve los supuestos filosóficos detrás de los conceptos de acción y experiencia y las implicancias teórico metodológicas de situarse dentro de estas dos tradiciones analíticas. Los datos que presento son resultados de una investigación cualitativa comenzada en 2003, enriquecida por procesos de investigación acción, acerca de la puesta en marcha de una planta social de clasificación de residuos. En este artículo recorro un período de más de diez años a lo largo de los cuales los cambios en los conflictos y el modo de presentar la planta nos permite observar, no solo los cambios en el contexto socio histórico, sino también transformaciones subjetivas que llevan a diferentes posicionamientos de los actores sociales entre sí y frente a su propia historia
Los vascoparlantes y los medios de comunicación: opiniones, hábitos y actitudes
Get PDFThis research tries to shed light on the relationship of Basque language speakers with the media, as its main aim is to help understand which social, psychological and cognitive mechanisms influence the media consumption of minoritised language speakers. To fulfill this purpose, it was used an integrated methodological perspective, which has combined conducting in-depth interviews, on the qualitative side, and the compilation of audience data, on the quantitative one. Given that both the media landscape and the Basque linguistic community are involved in a process of deep transformation, this work´s conclusions try to set out some findings and lines of reflection that could help Basque language media understand better their potential audience and anticipate the challenges of the near future.La presente investigación trata de arrojar luz sobre la relación de los vascoparlantes con los medios de comunicación, con el objetivo de ayudar a conocer los mecanismos sociales, psicológicos y cognitivos que influyen en el consumo mediático de los hablantes de lenguas minorizadas, en un contexto en el que tanto el emisor (los medios) como el receptor (la comunidad lingüística vasca) están transformándose rápida y profundamente. Para cumplir con dicho propósito, hemos utilizado una perspectiva metodológica integrada, que ha combinado la realización de entrevistas en profundidad, por el lado cualitativo, y la recopilación de datos de audiencia, por el cuantitativo. Como conclusión, esta tesis pretende poner sobre la mesa diversas constataciones y líneas de reflexión que ayuden a los medios en euskera a conocer mejor a su público potencial y a anticiparse a los retos del futuro más próximo
A Invenção do Popular: uma análise discursiva do jornal Meia Hora
Get PDFIn this work I seek to understand the articulation point where the speeches are inscribed in individuals and in their daily practices. More specifically how the discourses reinforce (or reject), in their circulation, certain aspects relevant to social orders. For this, the newspaper “Meia Hora”, a printed publication largely circulated in the state of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, was analyzed. Data collection and analysis were guided by conceptual tools coming from different authors who work with speech analysis, seeking to circumscribe as they are formatted and broadcast content covered by the publication, identifying both the linguistic devices that are used as the semantic forms, meaning that seek to enter the consumer these productions in a certain idealization of what is "popular".Neste trabalho busco compreende o ponto de articulação onde os discursos se inscrevem nas individualidades e em suas práticas cotidianas. Mais especificamente pretendo analisar como os discursos reforçam (ou rejeitam) em sua circulação, determinados aspectos relevantes às ordenações sociais. Para tanto, foi analisada uma publicação impressa, autodenominada popular, de ampla circulação no estado do Rio de Janeiro, o jornal “Meia Hora”. A coleta e análise dos dados foram orientadas por ferramentas conceituais vindas de diferentes autores que trabalham com análise do discurso, procurando circunscrever como são formatados e difundidos os conteúdos cobertos pela publicação, identificando tanto os dispositivos linguísticos que são utilizados, quanto as formas semânticas, de sentido, que procuram inserir o consumidor destas produções em uma determinada idealização do que seja “popular”
Comunicación mediática y procesos de identificación: una construcción dramática y ritual
Get PDFThe present theoretical paper analyzes the way mediatic communication construct identifications. The thesis proposed is that the media configure ritually and dramatically identifications made by individuals and groups. First of all, we show the limitations of the concept of “identity” and we propose to use “identification” instead. Second, we explore the extent of social drama theory and role theory and we open it to new theoretical challenges and perspectives. Thirdly, it is shown that the concept of "ritual" is very useful to understand and interpret the identity construction through the media. All this leads us to conclude that both the theatricality and rituality are key to understanding the processes of identification that individuals and groups make in relation to the media.La tesis que se sostiene en el presente ensayo es que la comunicación mediática configura de manera dramática y ritual las identificaciones que realizan los sujetos y los grupos. En primer lugar, se ponen de manifiesto algunas de las limitaciones del concepto de identidad y se propone el uso del de “identificaciones”. En segundo lugar, se explora el alcance de la dramaturgia social y la teoría de los roles. En tercer lugar, se reflexiona acerca del concepto de ritual y se pone de manifiesto su utilidad en la interpretación de los procesos de construcción de identidades. Todo ello, lleva a concluir que tanto la teatralidad como la ritualidad son conceptos clave para comprender las identificaciones que realizan los sujetos y los grupos en relación a los medios de comunicación
La ritualidad en transición. Un estudio sobre las preferencias del destino corporal
Get PDFThe aim of this article is to present a few of the results from my Ph.D. research. This is a comparative analysis on ritual preferences regarding own death expressed by middle-aged people (cohort of 1957 and 1972) and people in the fourth age (cohort of 1917 and 1932). The data is collected from biographical interviews conducted in 2009 and 2012 in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The results show a transformation in funerary practices and customs in the urban context in the last years. The analysis indicates that for middle-aged people there is a preeminence for cremation which defines the dematerialization of death. Both the rejection to cemeteries and funeral ceremonies reflecta changing ritualism. Appreciation of cemeteries and burials, however, characterizesthe cohort of the fourth age and constructsa different relation between the alive and the dead.El objetivo de este artículo es presentar algunos resultados de mi investigación doctoral. Se trata de un análisis comparativo sobre las preferencias rituales en torno a la propia muerte expresadas por personas de mediana edad (cohorte de 1957 y 1972) y de cuarta edad (cohorte de 1917 y 1932). Los datos corresponden a entrevistas biográficas realizadas entre los años 2009 y 2012 en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Los resultados muestran una transformación en prácticas y costumbres funerarias en el contexto urbano de los últimos años. El análisis revela que, en la mediana edad, existe una preeminencia de la cremación que define la desmaterialización de la muerte. Tanto el rechazo al cementerio como a las ceremonias fúnebres muestran una ritualidad en transformación. En cambio, la valorización del cementerio y de la inhumación caracteriza a la cohorte de cuarta edad y estructura una relación diferente entre vivos y muertos
Bicicleta, cidade e educação: movimentos de pesquisa
Get PDFThis study comes from a Master’s degree in Education research, which investigates narratives of “pedaling beings” starting from the relationship bicycle-city. The theoretical assumptions lean on the Cultural Studies and concepts about education, culture, everyday life, experience and narratives. Researching with narratives closes everyday life and promotes co-authorship to the subjects in the paper. The article puts in discussion some forms of contemporary subjectivity, resistance techniques and expression. A study that builds narratives and reflections about the experiences of theses hybrid subjects and their everyday life, questioning their way of life in the city. Thinking in this urban medley is connect the environment and the dynamic of these pedaling bodies, emerging other ways of education and interaction with the medium, weaving multiple affectations in aesthetics, poetry, politics, opening breaches to reflect in the everyday happenings. The article also discusses the movements in research and the effects in those who research and are researched.Este estudo provém de uma pesquisa de Mestrado em Educação, que investiga narrativas de “seres pedalantes” a partir da relação bicicleta-cidade. Os pressupostos teóricos apoiam-se nos Estudos Culturais e conceitos sobre educação, cultura, cotidianos, experiência e narrativas. Pesquisar com narrativas aproxima os cotidianos e promove a estes sujeitos co-autoria no trabalho. O artigo coloca em discussão algumas formas de subjetivação contemporânea, estratégias de reXistência e expressão. Um estudo que constrói narrativas e reflexões sobre a experiências destes sujeitos híbridos e seus cotidianos, problematizando os modos de vida na cidade. Pensar esse emaranhado urbano é relacionar o ambiente e a dinâmica destes corpos que pedalam, emergindo outras formas de educação e interação com o meio, tecendo múltiplas afetações estéticas, poéticas, políticas, abrindo brechas para refletir os acontecimentos cotidianos. Práticas sexuais em geolocalização entre homens: corpos, prazeres, tecnologias

These unfold themselves into prosthetic pleasures that take their place in the experiencing of bodies and of their multiplicity linked to technologies of (de)territorialization. We question how Psychology can think of concepts/devices towards the new sexes/genders/pleasures of digital social networks and towards the normative traps that pose themselves at the interactions of these spaces.As mídias locativas, com os operadores de geolocalização, e os espaços na web de homosocialização são problematizados no sentido de promover certo distanciamento das armadilhas normalizadoras e patologizantes. El dispositivo de la captura: espacios y cuerpos bajo el signo de la excepcionalidad
Get PDFTaking as a starting point the hunting metaphor of power as an act that grasp preys, this paper aims to think and develop the concept of capture. In order to do that the theoretical basis of this concept is offered in terms of a dispositive that structures the ordering of the social to appropriate spaces and bodies producing, as a consequence, an exposure to death. Within this theoretical field it will be emphasized the political logic of exceptionality that articulates the process of capture and, likewise, it will be shown the way geography of capture can be analyzed.Partiendo de la metáfora cinegética del poder como acto que agarra a sus presas, este artículo pretende pensar y desarrollar el concepto de captura. Para ello, se establecen las premisas fundamentales de este concepto en tanto que dispositivo articulador de un ordenamiento de lo social que promueve la apropiación de espacios y cuerpos desencadenando situaciones marcadas por la exposición a la muerte. Dentro de este escenario teórico se incidirá en la lógica política de la excepcionalidad que atraviesa el proceso de la captura y se esbozarán las líneas fundamentales desde las que pensar la geografía de la captura

Get PDFThis paper provides a brief approach to violence as a constitutive feature of the social, that is, of the orderings that shape the contexts where we are positioned. This analytical premise connects the different papers that articulate this special issue on violence. Although the papers refer to several topics, quite present in the theoretical debates that take place nowadays in the analysis of the political, they share the epistemic importance conferred to the concept of violence in the reflection on the production and experience of the social.Este artículo presenta sucintamente un acercamiento a la violencia en tanto que rasgo constitutivo de lo social, de los ordenamientos que configuran los contextos en los que estamos ubicados. Esta premisa analítica es la que sirve igualmente para vertebrar las distintas aportaciones que componen este tema espacial en torno a la violencia; aportaciones que si bien abordan temáticas específicas, muy presentes en los debates teóricos actuales en torno a lo político, comparten la centralidad epistémica que ha de atesorar el concepto de violencia en la reflexión sobre la producción y vivencia de lo social
Ética e diferença no processo de pesquisa com grupos de conversações públicas
Get PDFThe aim of this study is to analyze 10 dialogue facilitation meetings on the subject of the rights to LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) in the states of Paraná and Minas Gerais, Brazil, following the Public Conversations Project (PCP), Boston, USA. 50 people attended the meetings, LGBT, LGBT family members, pastors, priests, LGBT activists, coordinators of religious groups, health professionals, educators, police and politicians. Social constructionist discourse supported the analysis of the meetings, the post-group discussions and feedback forms from participants about their participation in the meetings. Discussion highlighted: 1) the implications of valuing difference as ethical and epistemological commitment to conduct the PCP, 2) the need for reflection on the part of the facilitators with respect to which differences they can/should be committed with, and 3) the questioning of which intended and achieved effects give direction to the commitment of the facilitators with the difference in the group.Objetivamos analisar a realização de 10 encontros de facilitação de diálogos sobre direitos de pessoas LGBT (Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transexuais) em dois estados brasileiros - Paraná e Minas Gerais -, seguindo a estrutura de conversa do Projeto de Conversações Públicas (PCP). 50 pessoas participaram dos encontros, sendo LGBT, familiares de LGBT, pastores, padres, militantes LGBT, coordenadores de grupos religiosos, profissionais da saúde, educadores, policiais e políticos. A perspectiva construcionista social sustentou a análise da transcrição das áudio-gravações dos encontros, das conversas pós-grupo e dos formulários de feedback dos participantes. A discussão destacou: 1) as implicações da valorização da diferença como compromisso ético e epistemológico do PCP, 2) a necessidade da reflexão por parte dos facilitadores com relação a com quais diferenças eles podem/devem se comprometer, e 3) o questionamento de quais efeitos pretendidos e alcançados enquadram e dão direção ao compromisso dos facilitadores com a diferença no grupo
