    台灣IC設計產業公司治理、技術效率與利潤結構之攸關性研究

    本文旨在探討台灣IC設計產業,公司治理對技術效率、市場結構與利潤之影響,並據以檢定X效率結構、結構-行為-績效、相對市場力量等三大假說。茲將實證結果歸納如下:(1)在140個有限樣本下,本文利用因素分析法,將四大構面之95個公司治理變數,萃取出19個關鍵變數;其中有12個會顯著影響技術無效率,而有9個會顯著衝擊IC設計廠商之市場占有率。(2)技術效率之提昇,可以顯著提昇資產報酬率、淨值報酬率及益本比,但市占率之提高僅能顯現在資產報酬率,而產業集中度則與獲利能力無顯著關聯;換言之,台灣IC設計產業支持X效率結構與相對市場力量假說,但並未支持結構-行為-績效假說。(3)整體而言,台灣IC設計產業之公司治理機制,在董事會結構、控制權偏離、組織及人事穩定度、公平對待股東等構面,對獲利績效上皆呈正向樂觀表現;但在股權結構與財報透明度等二構面,則有必要再加強。補正完畢TW

    Virtual reality tourism: Intention to use mediated by perceived usefulness, attitude, and desire

    Purpose COVID-19 halted global tourism, prompting stakeholders to use virtual reality (VR) tourism to maintain interest. Due to technological advancements and wider internet access globally, VR tourism has become increasingly popular. Guided by the attention-interest-desire-action (AIDA) model and the technology acceptance model (TAM) frameworks, and with the inclusion of personal innovativeness, this study aims to clarify consumer intentions toward engaging with VR tourism by investigating factors such as personal innovativeness, interest, perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), attitude and desire. Design/methodology/approach Data was gathered from 252 participants using a cross-sectional approach, with partial least squares structural equation modeling used to assess the research model. Findings The findings indicate consumers' personal innovativeness strongly influences VR tourism intention, mediated by PU, attitude and desire. VR tourism intention is also significantly impacted by interest in VR tourism and is mediated by PU and PEOU, attitude and desire. PEOU and PU are significantly linked to interest and determine attitude. Attitude, both directly and indirectly, significantly influences VR tourism intention through users' desire, which mediates the relationship. Through multiple group analysis, the path from desire to intention is found to be moderated by age, education and marital status. Practical implications Theoretically, this study pioneers a framework that merges AIDA, TAM and personal innovativeness to advance the understanding of VR tourism adoption dynamics and enrich tourism research. Managerially, it provides valuable guidance on targeting communications and technology toward increasing VR tourism engagement and presents a roadmap for industry practitioners. Originality/value This research addresses the identified gaps in extant literature by combining TAM and AIDA with personal innovativeness to investigate the process of consumers' VR tourism intention, triggered by consumers' personal innovativeness and interest in VR tourism. The study highlights significant managerial insights for both tourism industry practitioners and academic researchers, which can assist with decision-making to promote VR tourism development.補正完畢GB

    Development and Evaluation of a Care Needs Scale for Parents of Children With Tourette Syndrome

    BACKGROUND: Tourette syndrome (TS) is a chronic neurodevelopmental disorder that begins in school-age children. Although TS is not life-threatening, the tics and comorbidities can impact a child's physical and mental health, as well as interpersonal interactions. Understanding the care needs of parents of children with TS is essential for providing healthcare services that effectively support these children. The aim of the study was to develop and evaluate the psychometric properties of the care needs scale for parents of children with TS (CNS-PCTS) in Taiwan. METHODS: This study used a methodological design. The scale was developed by preliminarily identifying relevant items and dimensions through a systematic review of the literature. A pilot test with 30 participants and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) confirmed the subscales and items pertaining to the care needs of the parents. Data analysis included content validity, item analysis, internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and EFA. The Chinese version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was adopted to assess the discriminant validity of the CNS-PCTS. RESULTS: Two hundred fifty-six parents of children with TS completed the scale. The scale-level content validity index was 0.92. The EFA revealed that the CNS-PCTS consisted of 13 items, with the factor loadings ranging from 0.656 to 0.83, and covered 3 factors: getting information about TS, assisting children in social engagement, and obtaining parenting support. The discriminant validity showed a positive correlation between the Chinese version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the CNS-PCTS. Cronbach's α coefficients of the subscales ranged from 0.89 to 0.94, and the intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.94. CONCLUSION: The CNS-PCTS demonstrated satisfactory psychometric properties. It helps health professionals understand parents' care needs and assess the effectiveness of interventions. Confirmatory factor analysis can be performed in future studies to provide more rigorous validity.補正完畢US

    Additive Manufacturing of Vapor Chambers

    The increasing power density of high-performance electronic devices poses significant thermal management challenges. Vapor chambers (VCs) offer efficient heat dissipation, but traditional manufacturing methods limit their structural precision and performance. This study investigates the thermal performance of VCs fabricated with additive manufacturing (AM), featuring triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) Gyroid capillary structures at two fill ratios under varying thermal loads. Enhanced thermal stability and performance were observed in the higher fill ratio, particularly under higher heat loads, whereas the lower fill ratio excelled under low-heat conditions, achieving a thermal resistance as low as 0.3688 K/W at an 80Wheat load. Additionally, the research explored the advantages and challenges of horizontal and vertical printing techniques in VC fabrication. Horizontal printing was found to compromise cavity volume due to necessary support structures, whereas vertical printing enhanced mass production feasibility and maintained effective vapor circulation. This study proposes a novel approach using AM to manufacture VCs as a monolithic structure. By eliminating the need for welding, this method ensures seamless integration of the capillary structure with the housing, thereby avoiding issues related to poor contact or welding-induced damage. The study confirmed a 75% reduction in thermal resistance in VCs with capillary structures compared to those without under similar conditions, highlighting the significant potential of integrating precisely designed capillary structures and additive manufacturing in improving vapor chamber performance for advanced thermal management applications.補正完畢CH

    Incorporation of ascorbic acid-2-glucoside into ulvan microneedles to enhance its permeation for anti-aging and whitening treatment

    For anti-aging and whitening treatment, ascorbic acid-2-glucoside (AA2G) was incorporated into a 4.0 % (w/v) ulvan solution at three concentrations (0.5 %, 1.0 %, and 2.0 % w/v) to fabricate ulvan-based microneedles (UMNs) using a spin-casting method, aimed at enhancing AA2G permeation. The in vitro skin insertion study demonstrated that incorporating AA2G into the UMNs improved their insertion capability, increasing from 86.3 % for neat UMNs to 98 % for AA2G-UMNs. Furthermore, in vitro drug permeation profiles revealed that dissolving UMNs significantly enhanced the cumulative permeation of AA2G, achieving 80–90 % within 3 h. In addition to showing good biocompatibility with HaCaT and NIH3T3 cells, AA2G-UMNs exhibited antioxidant activity and protected HaCaT cells from H2O2-induced oxidative stress. Their anti-aging activity was demonstrated by their ability to inhibit elastase and collagenase activity. Moreover, whitening efficacy was confirmed through the inhibition of melanin production and tyrosinase activity. Among the formulations, 2.0 % AA2G-UMNs achieved the greatest reduction in melanin content in B16F10 cells, with a 54.2 % reduction intracellularly and a 61.3 % reduction extracellularly. Tyrosinase activity inhibition by AA2G-UMNs ranged from 42.6 % to 53.4 %. These results suggest that AA2G-UMNs hold significant promise for applications in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries.補正完畢NL

    A 6th Order Current- Mirror-Based Gm-C Bandpass Filter with the Binary Searching Calibration Scheme for Capacitor Sensing Applications

    This paper presents the current-mirror-based Gm-C bandpass filter with a digitally binary searching calibration scheme. The current-mirror-based circuit technique can be a highly regular structure, which drives the proposed filter to implement the conceptions of the modularized unit and repeatable layout. Furthermore, it employs a tunable bias current circuit and a successively counting logic to implement the binary searching calibration scheme to reduce the mass test timing budget and to obtain the correct frequency response. Thus, the proposed 6th-order current-mirror-based Gm-C bandpass filter can overcome the PVT variations with this automatically tunable bias scheme. Accordingly, a Gm-C LC oscillator, which forms the same unit cell as the filter, generates the oscillated clock for this digital successively counting calibration scheme. This work is designed and implemented in the 0.18 μm CMOS process with a supply voltage of 1.8 V. The specifications include the center frequency of 200 kHz and bandwidth of 100 kHz for capacitor sensing applications. The measured power dissipations of the filter and calibrating scheme are 0.65 mW and 0.56 mW, respectively. After calibrating, the mean offset and standard deviation ratios to the calibrated clock frequency are only 2.1% and 1.66%, respectively.補正完畢US
