Adoption and implementation of an inclusive business integration model in the packaging of the tourist villages in the west of Bali Indonesia
This research aims to analyze the application of the inclusive business integration model developed in Cepaka Village for the development of tourism village packaging. The model is intended to guarantee that the growth of tourism villages is both economically advantageous and socially and environmentally sustainable. This study examines the implementation of the model in tourism villages located in the western region of Bali. It assesses the effects of this implementation on the empowerment of the local community, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the economic development of the villages. This study is significant due to Bali’s recognition as a global tourism hotspot, where tourism villages possess immense possibilities but frequently encounter obstacles such as scarce resources, insufficient infrastructure, and the necessity for efficient marketing tactics. This study employs qualitative methods to analyze the effects of incorporating inclusive business practices on the development of tourism villages. Specifically, it investigates the influence on income generation, the equitable distribution of economic advantages among the community, and the preservation of cultural and environmental aspects. A total of 27 key informants, consisting of the chairman, vice chairman, and a member of the village management, were selected from 7 tourism villages in West Bali. The Jembrana Regency Tourism Office organized focus group discussions following a series of comprehensive interviews conducted in stages. Additionally, a crucial source of information was a proficient digital marketing specialist who aided in the process of digitalizing the marketing strategies for tourist villages in West Bali. The study’s findings indicate that the proposed model successfully integrates village economic activities with cultural and environmental aspects, resulting in a distinctive and genuine tourism experience in seven tourist villages in West Bali. The findings of this study are anticipated to offer valuable perspectives for policymakers, tourism professionals, and rural communities on how to maximize the opportunities of tourism villages in a comprehensive and environmentally friendly way. The research emphasizes the significance of adopting digital technology in marketing and distributing village tourism products. It also identifies the opportunities and challenges of implementing inclusive business models in Bali’s tourism village setting
Google Trends platform: An analysis of the search for accommodation in Meruoca/Ceará-Brazil and its importance for digital marketing
Digital marketing has proven to be an essential tool for several business sectors, and tourism is one of the beneficiaries of this strategy. This article aims to analyze data from searches for words or terms related to accommodation in Meruoca. The research has a descriptive and quantitative character, seeking data, analysis and discussion about the searches for terms related to the main means of accommodation in the city of Meruoca, carried out by users in Brazil during the months of January to December 2019. The results indicate the variations in the interest of users for both means of accommodation throughout the year, providing a more comprehensive view of periods of greater demand and preference. Thus, it is concluded that the use of Google Trends provides important insights for managers in the tourism sector, helping them to develop more efficient and targeted marketing strategies
The importance of the government’s role in sustainable development in rural areas
This study focuses on developing tourist villages as sustainable tourist destinations. The aim of this research is to determine the role of the government in tourism development which is carried out in a comprehensive and integrated manner by wisely utilizing natural resources, culture and geographical conditions. sustainable development, especially in rural areas, is expected to contribute to increasing welfare, equality and environmental awareness for the community. The research method was carried out using a qualitative approach, using observation, documentation and interview techniques to collect various complete data and information by determining research data sources, collecting and analyzing qualitative data, making conclusions and recommendations. The research results show that the government's role is quite large, although it has not succeeded in achieving targets in implementing various tourism developments in rural areas related to three role indicators, namely: 1) regulator, 2) dynamist, and 3) facilitator
Intelligent fertigation, pillar of sustainable agriculture
The growing demand for food in the country has required an increase in agricultural production levels and, with it, an increase in irrigation systems. Among the most widespread are central pivot irrigation systems, but their large number and variety make their optimal configuration difficult, generating overexploitation of natural resources such as water and threatening the sustainability of agriculture and the country. For this reason, the objective of this research was to implement software that would allow obtaining the appropriate configuration of this equipment using information on the type of crop, the agro-climatic conditions of the region, and the soil in order to obtain maximum utilization. As a result, an application capable of performing the calculations so that the value of water delivered by the system is closer to the estimated needs for a crop in each of its phases was achieved. To demonstrate this, an experimental study was carried out in field conditions in the agricultural enterprise La Cuba in Ciego de Avila; it showed that, with the use of the software, there was a saving of up to 94.5% of the water previously misused. In addition, the level of liquid provided allows the sowing to be in better conditions to reach its optimum yield. As an added value, the software has a minimalist and intuitive interface, which allows real-time visualization of field information
Understanding factors intercepting response of rice farmers to climate change in Ebonyi State, Nigeria
Understanding factors intercepting the response of rice farmers to climate change in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, was investigated. A total of 70 rice farmers were sampled using a multi-stage sampling technique and administered a questionnaire. Primary data was collected and analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, frequency, percentage, chart) and an ordinary least squares multiple regression model. Results show that the rice farmers cultivated on small land holdings, were relatively educated, sourced their land via inheritance, and had 16 years of farming experience. Results reveal that 72% of the rice farmers are highly aware of climate change, while 17% and 11% are relatively aware and not aware, respectively. Temperatures, rainfall, and the number of rainy days have positive effects on rice production, while sunshine hours and relative humidity have negative effects on rice production. Age, gender, education, farm size, extension contacts, and participation in workshops were significant variables influencing rice production in the state. Capital, crude implements, pests and diseases, poor soil, lack of incentives, and cultivation systems were the non-climatic factors that influenced rice cultivation in the state. Farmers were recommended to embrace climate-smart cropping systems and seek early climate change information to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on rice cultivation
Biostimulants: An innovation in agriculture for the cultivation of coffee (Coffea arabica L)
The research was conducted in Jipijapa, in the town of Andil. The objective was to evaluate the physiological and morphological behavior of arabica coffee in the nursery stage with the application of biostimulants: starlite, humega, micorriza, and evergreen, compared to urea. A completely randomized experimental design was applied, using a factorial arrangement of repetitions in time for the morphological variables, and Tukey’s test was applied based on the statistical differences found. The results obtained at the physiological level established a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the variables dry matter, moisture, and nitrogen (N), with starlite and evergreen biostimulants being the best in DM and humega and evergreen in N content. There was a better response to chlorophyll (Cl) assimilation by all biostimulants, surpassing urea in general, with micorriza and starlite being the best, establishing a high positive correlation between N and chlorophyll. In terms of morphological development, Urea showed a better response, and at the biostimulant level, humega and micorriza showed better results, all between 90 and 120 days
Transport-land use systems of sustainable London city
Transportation and land use are interrelated and should be investigated simultaneously for sustainable urban. This paper investigates the interaction between transport and land-use systems using TRANUS model, to support the sustainable development of the London city, provide implicative information for London Mayor’s Transport Strategy (MTS), and reduce transport energy use and CO2 emissions. Three infrastructure improvements scenarios for 2025 for MTS are examined. Results show that the trips will increase from 2012 to 2025 by over 1 million. High-occupancy car, bike, rail and tube are still the main transit, and CrossRail will be increasingly recognized. The transport energy use in 2025 high scenario is the smallest compared to 2025 baseline and low scenario. The transport CO2 emissions show difference for these three 2025 scenarios, with low and high scenarios having smaller transport CO2 emissions than baseline. These have informative implications for UK national infrastructure plans, and suggest that accounting environmental benefits of infrastructures will contribute to reduce the underinvestment in infrastructure

This paper deals with the design of an automated system to increase the yield of shrimp farming in the country. There are three factors involved in designing an aqua form automation system (AFAS). The first factor is to get the maximum egg to postlarva conversion. The second factor is to make the farming environment contamination-free, and the third factor is to conserve electrical energy, which is the need of the hour for the economy. Several experiments have been conducted to make the system robust, foolproof, and ready for commercial usage. This system has reduced manpower while giving leverage to the consumer in terms of investment
Interdependence of Oxidative Stress and Inflammation in Testicular Dysfunction
Male infertility is caused by a network of interconnected endogenous mechanisms. Around 50% of male infertility cases are idiopathic. However, oxidative stress (OS) and inflammation have been independently implicated in male infertility. For instance, reduced semen capacity was noted as OS increases the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and testicular inflammation increases the number of leukocytes which inhibit its capacity. It is worthy of note that inflammation is intimately connected with OS and together may initiate a vicious cycle with the ability to upend the homeostasis in the testicular system. It has been reported that ROS and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) facilitated by inflammatory cells at the site of inflammation are key factors in the initiation of testicular OS, while proinflammatory gene expressions are also elevated by a signalling pathway triggered by a variety of ROS/RNS. As a result, cellular damage could be exacerbated and male reproductive functions disrupted. Sperm from infertile men have shown higher ROS levels along with increased amounts of proinflammatory proteins and cytokines, thereby supporting the interlink between OS and inflammation. Over the last several decades, a significant number of studies have been conducted seeking to unravel the interplay between OS and inflammation, especially in the testis.
