    Get PDF
Quality is a factor to increase the competitiveness of a product. By increasing quality, the production costs will be reduced, thus it will eventually reduce waste. The failure of a product can be caused by the availability of raw materials, machines, equipment, human resources, and environmental factors during the production process. Quality control is a method used to keep the product needed by the market to be within controlled limits. This study aims to determine the quality of Tempe SS products at the Sirajussa’adah Islamic Boarding School in Limo Depok. It is carried out to see whether the quality is still within control limits or not by using the Six Sigma method with several stages of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) implementation. In this research, calculations are carried out using the checksheet, flow chart, histogram, Pareto Hart, control, scatter diagram and fishbone diagram methods of production. Based on the results, it can be concluded that for 25 times the study, it is obtained the value of the center line (CL) of 0.0036, the value of the upper control limit (UCL) of 0.0050, and the value of the lower control limit (LCL) of 0. It is also found that there are a number of variations in the process that are outside the control limit (out of control) and within the control limit (in control) in the production process of Tempe SS at the Sirajussa Islamic Boarding School in Limo Depok. However, this is still inadequate for the fermentation process infrastructure, equipment for packaging is still manual and environmental factors determine the cause of the number of defective products.

This study uses a quantitative approach involving 121 respondents. Data analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that; (1) workplace well-being has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, (2) workplace incivility has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, (3) job embeddedness significantly plays a role in moderating the relationship between workplace well-being and turnover intention, and (4) Job embeddedness plays a significant role in moderating the relationship between workplace incivility and turnover intention. Get PDF
This paper discusses how a Strategic Plan (SP) can be monitored and evaluated using the balanced scorecard (BSC). The BSC is a useful tool that is based on four measures: the financial measures emphasize cost efficiency and high profitability; the customer measure considers the ability of the firm to provide quality services to the customer; the internal business processes measure focuses on the internal processes that lead to financial success and customer satisfaction, while learning and growth measure include the ability of the employees’ quality of information systems, leadership, the culture, and alignment to teamwork processes. This paper employed both quantitative and qualitative methods to collect data. The SP’s operational objectives were aligned with the four measures of the BSC. Each measure was given a score that formed the basis of evaluation and analysis. The results show that the SP scored an aggregate of 71%, which is a fair score. The highest score was found in the learning and growth measure, followed by internal processes then the customer service, and lastly the financial measure. The scores are consistent with a non-profit making enterprise. This paper concludes that the BSC is a perfect tool for the evaluation of an SP

    Get PDF
This paper aims to contribute to the rapidly growing transnational immigrant entrepreneurship (TIE) literature by empirically exploring eco-factors and components from entrepreneurial ecosystem perspectives. Through content analysis of the TIE concepts and definitions of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the study defines the concept of the immigrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and suggests it as an instrument for studying the relationship between immigrant firms and their business environment. Case studies and qualitative analysis examines and evaluates the dual (host- and home-country) entrepreneurial ecosystem (DEE) and its eco-factors and components. Case studies show cultural norms, in particular, home-country national values and family values, are key players in transnational entrepreneurs who engage in transnational entrepreneurship. The research results support that the DEE framework is a key instrument for the study of the determination of transnational immigrant entrepreneurs’ motivation, strategy, and outcomes. This research theoretically contributes to TIE literature by finding new influential eco-factors and components, thus, enhancing the DEE framework. It also provides suggestions to policymakers and practitioners and further research directions

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study was to establish the effect of human resource capabilities on customer relationship management in private hospitals in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. It targeted 161 private hospitals which are accredited by NHIF in Kenya and which formed the unit of analysis of the study. Simple random sampling was then be used to obtain the 644 respondents. The researcher utilized a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale to gather the data. The collected data were coded and entered in SPSS for further analysis. Descriptive and inferential analysis was conducted. The findings found there is indeed a positive statistically significant relationship between human resource capability and customer relationship management. However, human resource capabilities had the least effect with 31.5% implying that most private hospitals either do not have enough staff, the reward system is not adequate, there is no staff involvement, or either there is no career progression and therefore staff was not satisfied. This can also imply that the managements were keener on other drivers that are directly involved in customers like information technology infrastructure. The study recommends that hospitals should stand out from the competitors by hiring highly skilled staff as well as embracing an integrated patient-centric efficient care delivery for the successful delivery of effective CRM. Managers should recognize that human resource capability is valuable, rare, irreplaceable, and difficult to imitate; therefore, it is crucial for creating sustainable competitive advantages, and if utilized appropriately, it can improve the CRM of an organization
